POV: Honda Accord Type S Manfeild Track Day Hot Lap
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 8 сен 2024
- I recently took my Honda Accord Euro Type S at Manfeild. Got one chance to do a hard and fast lap while there were not many other cars around so took my chance!
I'm probably driving at about eight tenths here. Didn't want to absolutely thrash the pants off it, but it gives you an idea of how quick it is.
Before the modifications I was somewhere around 1:37, now I'm under 1:30.

Idk why but for some reason you reminded me of the getaway scene in baby driver. The glasses and earphones together reminded me of that😅😅
Haha lol
THE E39 GOING INTO TURN ONE HAHAHAHAHHAH
What an excellent track oriented vehicle
Hahah
A 1550KG car on strut suspension, weak springs and 205 tires doesn't go fast around the corner? Imagine that! :D
These old Honda's are so much more upgradeable due to double wishbone layouts.
@@The_Noticer. in all fairness he actually did very well, and his one has 225/255 tyres, with the 170Kw I6 so it's not that slow
@@KiwiCarLife oof. the L6 is even heaver, around 1750kg.
@@The_Noticer. an I6 vs I4 doesn't add 200kg to a car hahaha. 1600kg sounds about right
Nice run! You make the best CL9 content on the Tube!
Oh thanks man appreciate it!
Omg y cant wait to put my dc5 gear box in♥️♥️💪 very nice lap my friend btw!!
Cheers man and yeah it makes a big difference
Would love to see you race a automatic on the track for comparison
@@ChunMotorsport that would be interesting
Well done bro 👍 another great vid
Cheers man
perfect run 👍. Driving my car more last week now i can to recommand rear bar and strut bar combo. Only rsb is no bueno.
Cheers man and yeah I'll look into that
Remember me when you hit 100k subs 💯🤙
I will!
F@#k yeah good practice that CL9 has a good owner:) love your videos
Cheers
Looking like baby driver with the shades and the earphones hahahaha
Yeah haha - had the buds in so I could talk to my mate in his z3 for an upcoming video
I before E except after C.
Nah manfeild and fielding are spelt differently
Except for Feilding 😂
The power of VTEC
Yuuuurs
Who's running a track day where you don't have to wear helmets? Surprised the Manfield staff allow that. Nice lap btw :)
Cheers and it was a driver training day so if you go out in the slow group you don't need helmets
Brakes holding up ok ? Oem set up ?
Got some pads in there but otherwise stock. Wasn't going too hard so they held up good
Very nice. Thoughts on how it is compared to your integra? I'm deciding if its worthwhile modding my CL9. Also any plans for a 50 degree VTC or OEM TL/USDM accord upper control arms for more camber up front?
Nah, happy with the suspension setup, and I'm at the point where I don't really want to spend any more money on it
To be efficient in track : the first think you need are brakes, good, strong and endurant brake system. The stock brakes are crape, it's impossible to race a day with a CL9, so I dont recommand to go on track with stock Honda front caliper. You can find front 4 pistons Brembo from Clio or Megan + front Nissan 350Z disks, it's very good upgrade with an adaptation for our Cl9 k24!!
So, like 99% of cars on track : it's not made to realy hardly race. You need upgrade to it properly. Same rules for the Accord...
Agreed, however it's not a necessity. I've been on many track days on stock brakes and it gets around fine. It depends how much you want to thrash your car and in my case not very much
Bro, trust me.. The rsp intake manifold from the fn2 type R does wonders. If you can get your hands one please get it. I have the same mods as you on my CL9 Type S minus the gearset... If you want your vtec to go bwaaaaa then get the rsp.
Yeah yeah I know everyone has said the same thing haha - got a skunk 2 on the way
nice!
Cheers
Hello my friend, I have a question
What is the difference between vector. movement for honda. Accord cl9 5 speed cm1. And 6 cm2 speeds. the speed. They cut. same. the chia
Sorry man not quite sure what you mean
if you want to drive the car on the track, keep the oil 5 mm above the maximum.
Yeah always pays to overfill it a little aye
Damn I have basic tourer for a daily and was looking for some trackday weapon, was thinking about starting with Renault Clio RS, but now i see i just need a sedan to do both :D
Haha yeah man the cl9s are a great all purpose car
I see that you always shifting gears when you pass 7K RPM, is that because your cars doesn't allow to go to 8.4K too?
Mine used to go up to 8K put now it blocks whenever I reach 7.2K, what would be the cause?
Automatic CL7 K20A6
Good grief there's a whole world of issues with that scenario you've just laid out hahah.
1. A k20A6 would blow to smithereens if you revved it to 8400rpm.
2. Your auto would blow to smithereens if you revved that to 8400rpm.
3. Even 7200rpm limiter is higher than stock, which should be 6900rpm so absolutely no idea whats going on with your engine.
My car's rev limiter is set at 7800, I usually shift between 7000 and 7500
Hi mate, do your front tyres wear out on the outside edges more than the rest of the tyre's surface? I am just wondering if the double wishbone suspension doing a good job of keeping an even contact patch with body roll?
Front tyres were all good, rears were wearing significantly more on the inside. Not surprising given these cars are known for getting a lot of rear camber when you lower them due to multi link in the rear
@@KiwiCarLife had a same problem, mine was lovered.bought hardrace camber kit and solves all problems
mount the turbo :D
To expensive... I'd rather sell it and buy a factory turbo car
What sort of event was this one man? Since no helmet
Driver training day, three groups in the open sessions, in group one you don't need helmets
@@KiwiCarLife ah makes sense, looks like good fun. Been a few years since I've driven manfeild
Hm, no helmets mandatory?
Not in group one, in the faster group you need one
Sick !!!
