It contains all our warranty information and tells you which tools are Snapon. No you do not have to be a contractor or have an account to purchase anything from CAT.
I went to the CAT dealership about two weeks ago and ordered the 1U-5545 metric wrench set. Came in the next day, paid cash, no account needed. They are Williams Supercombos (but stamped “CAT”. Nice set 6-19mm. The 14mm felt extremely lose on an injector pump fitting, so I mic’d it and it was out of spec ~14.39mm. I went back to the dealership explained what was up and they gladly warranted it. New wrench came in about 4 days later, I brought my micrometer and we compared the two at the parts counter. The new one was good to go. So yeah! Lifetime warranty, pretty painless. Just don’t expect to get Snap-On flank drive, that’s a myth. Williams super combo are great though.
