I just bought the FZ300 (in 2024) as my FZ200 finally decided il was time to retire. I felt quite lost on how to use this new caméra, but then I discovered your channel on You Tube. Thank you so much, it has been really helpfull, and way easier than if I had done it by myself.
Can I tell you how thankful I am for your video? I think the greatest invention of the 21st century is RUclips, and things like these are why. I just unboxed my camera earlier today, and although I watched this video several times in anticipation, I just watched it again, but this time able to go thru my camera settings. Looking forward for the rest, and I think I'm going to try and take a photography class. I agree with others comments that your delivery and teaching style is easy to listen to, and easy to follow. Very patient delivery and you don't make anyone feel dumb for not knowing these things. I can't wait to learn more features and get some use out if it now!
Just wanted to say that you do a great job. You have a gentle and kind way about you that makes you easy to listen to, and easy to like. Keep doing what you're doing!
FZ300 is my first feature rich camera. Had it over two years now and still learning new features on a regular basis. Finding out more and more what a great camera it is. It's been a great learning experience. Looking forward to following your series on the camera. Your intitial review convinced me that this was the right camera for me. I mostly focus on video, but been getting more and more interesting in and enjoyment from photography as well.
I'm so happy!!! I bought this camera about a month ago, and have so many questions and so many things I don't understand crealry, just learn how to use this camera. Thank you so much for the videos !!!
Purchased a FZ330 when I retired a couple of months ago, been using it since but with a plethora of information to digest, your tutorial has at least given me a datum point. Onwards ans upwards.......thanks Graham.
I took delivery of my FZ330 yesterday and I'm already loving it. In addition to that, I came across your tutorials a few days back, what a bonus! I've just followed the 'Beginners Guide - Pilot Episode', and I found it to be very useful indeed. Clearly explained, at a good pace, and very informative. I think I'm going to find your guides very useful, and I'm sure they'll help me to get to know the camera better, and therefore take better images. So, thank you very much!
Bought my FZ330 last week after selling my old Nikon DSLR so thought I’d better find some sort of manual for it and happened upon this. Well, I thought, I’ve been using digital cameras for many years, what on earth is Mr Houghton going to teach me that I don’t already know? Three minutes into first episode…. reset brain to factory settings, resolve to just do what Graham tells me. This is a very different camera from anything I’ve had before and even going through the basics has taught me a whole new approach. Thanks Graham, I look forward to further episodes and will order the book.
Graham, if you don't work on commission for Panasonic you should because your tutorials are second to none, and you are very good at selling the benefits of Panasonic Cameras, and unmatched on your attention to detail ! After much deliberation between buying my next digital, it has come down to the FZ82 and the dated FZ330. Following your tutorials and those of a few others on RUclips, I now realise that the 330, even in 2019 & despite only being 12K pixels, is still one of the best value cameras to learn and develop digital picture & video skills. Thank you for taking so much time to inform many old school 'photographers' on the need to spend LESS to get up to date with digital [previously no exp or skills required photography] techniques that bring back the skill and ability of days gone by. At least the future is brighter than 'point & shoot' for the dumbed down. You are actually doing this art a service, and now I actually find a true reason once again to get interested in a hobby that many years ago I found so satisfying.
What a really helpful and uncomplicated series of tutorials for a complete novice like me. Like others I had no idea about what the terminology meant or how to apply functions. I will be using all the series repeatedly. Thank you so much.
Hello Graham I'm watching you reset the fz300 and going through the settings to get the best quality picture wow there's a lot to it you're pure genius when it comes to cameras thank you again my friend God bless from Atlanta Georgia in the USA
Thanks, Graham. I've had the camera since Christmas but felt too overwhelmed by its complexity to use it much, and altered some settings to try to shoot the Aurora recently. Whatever I did (which didn't work anyway!), the camera stopped focussing so I've reset to factory settings and hope to learn a lot from these videos. An excellently paced video, ideal for the beginner, great teaching style.
Great mr Houghton, just bought my FZ 300 last week after watching your vids of the 200 series. A specific series for the newer version wil be a great help in getting started using it!
Great that I found you. Even a complete novice with camera with the help of your videos will surely help me. This first video I didn’t get lost with the instructions. Yay
Thank you Mr. Houghton for these videos. I just bought a Lumix FZ300 and was trying to figure out all the buttons. I have been watching you tube videos trying to find help. Then I came upon yours and they are a great help. This is the first one I have watch but I am going to go thru all of them. Thanks again. Great job!
Absolutely perfectly explained for us 'not so tech savvy minded' people. This is my first proper camera (fz330) stumbled across this video and it has helped massively. I have Autism and ADHD and this is my next hyper focus adventure. Would love to hear about any accessories you recommend for this camera to 😊 thank you.
I just received my new FZ300 in the mail today!! I am so excited to get started with it. After watching this first video, I am very confident that you will help me to get the absolute most out of this camera that I can. I've been learning about iphone photography for the past year and really loving it, but am now ready to take the first steps towards more control and potential of my photography! Thanks so much for making this series!
Thank you!!!! I've owned this camera for a year and haven't known how to begin to work it. Your video was very easy to follow. I look forward to watching and learning more from you. Once I feel like I understand the basics I'll be buying your book!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I purchased the camera ,and I am learning how to get the most out of this fantastic piece of equipment. Please keep doing your work . Thanks
Im so glad i found this video my husband bought me this camera for christmas . Ive used it a couple of times but now i want to use it more .this vieo has, really helped and in a way i can easily understand keep up the good work ❤😊
Dear friend! I am Róbert Kovács from Hungary. I would like to thank you for this clear and easy to follow presentation. Now I'm writing my first comment on my life because the video was so self-supporting. I've learned a lot and I hope it will continue. I want to know more about my camera because I love to take photos and video. Please share more of these videos.
Thank you Graham for this series - I began it several months ago but life got busy with heaps of travelling so am now getting reacquainted with my camera yet again.
A wonderful tutorial Graham. I've been away from photography for quite some time and just purchased a preloved FZ330 with no manual, so your video series will be - and already is a god send. Thank you so much. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Good evening, Graham. I just discovered your channel and site after purchasing the FZ300. My son is starting high school marching band, and I noticed during the first game that my iPhone was not going to provide the quality of pictures we want to keep. I'll be going through your tutorials with great interest as I step up to this more advanced camera. Thank you so much for such exhaustive content! I look forward to learning how to use this camera to capture my son's experiences in high school!
I have started following your FZ300 tutorial. Thank you very much! I wish I had this kind of resource for the OM-D E-M1 I have been using for many years.
Hello Graham! I bought that camera two weeks ago. I am french and there is no user's guide available in french with the quality and details you provide. Thank you so much for your help in the best use of the camera. I learn a lot and I am excited by taking good pictures in the future. You do a top job👍
I was about to send the camera back to Amazon because I was so frustrated with the complicated, extensive menu & buttons (plus, the "manual" included with the camera isn't worth the paper it's printed on), but I'm glad I found your videos now. It's all starting to make sense !!!
Dear Graham, thank you so much for these Beginners Guide to the FZ330. I have bought one and can't wait to try it out and to see if I will be any good at being a photographer. Even if I'm rubbish at it, I'm still glad I bought the camera and following your course will be good education. Kind regards to you. I'm learning already!
Thank you Sir I subscribed and bought this camera after many days of research. I bought the camera because of budget and weather resistance, weight and size for hiking. Looking forward to this series!
Thank you so much for your wonderful informational videos on this camera. If I had not found you here on u-tube I think I might have given up, but your explanations are wonderfully clear, concise and easy to follow. Very grateful. I am now optimistic about learning all the aspects of this FZ300 and generally improving my knowledge and currently limited skill.
Thanks so much for adding the new guide. I've been faithfully adhering to the earlier one, and am happy to have this more current version. I've been left in the dust regarding the newer technology, and deeply appreciate your style of instruction.
Thanks, Graham! I am getting so much more from my FZ300 since I watched your videos, both series, and bought your books. It's like buying a new camera but not having to spend the money. Many thanks!
Wonderful super! Your tutorial is absolutely GREAT. Thanks, thanks, I bought this camera and didn't know how to use it. Now I slowly begin to understand and reconcile myself with it. thanks again
Love this series of video's. recently bought this camera in Jan sales having never owned a camera like this before. These videos are a great tutorial for a beginner like me. i love the way you can keep coming back to them to recap stuff. Thank you Graham for answering my email regards the charger that came with my unit, i have just ordered a back up battery ( like you say in the pilot episode) for less than half the price from Panasonic. so once i get a power bank I'm all good to go for mobile charging. keep up the good work. 👍
Just found this vlog series after buying a new FZ300. Thanks Graham. I've replaced a DMC-LZ20 that wasn't up to sports photography as much as I hoped. I'll be following along at home hoping you answer all my sports settings. Cheers.
I just watched and this is EXACTLY what I need. You are an answer to prayer !!!! I have had my camera for little more than a year and I mostly do youtube and teaching videos .....Looking forward to your next segment ..... and I did purchase your book on AMAZON and do refer to it quite a bit. I have notes in the margins and have highlighted what I think is important (to me). I appreciate YOU .......
You produced the best video on how to use & customize the FZ-300. I watched them all before I bought the camera & that convinced me to make the purchase. You provide valuable insight on how to use this feature-packed camera. This is my 3rd Bridge camera and 2nd Lumix so I'm somewhat familiar with the operations. I will be using it while hiking for landscape photography. I plan on buying your color book also. Thanks Graham for a job well done!
You are BRILLIANT! Thank you so much - I moved from a TZ20 - I was not happy with the wind noise when videoing and the shake and less than perfect photos after only 7 years - but it did get enormous use. None of the pocket-sized PL boasted of wind blockage or an external mic shoe available. So, I ended up with the FZ300 First off it is so heavy! But I decided to persevere as the results are so good - but not easy like the TZ20 - put it back in the box - going to return - and then came on your tutorials. So, I am giving it another go......
Great video Graham! Finally I got the FZ300 for my wife and your guide helps a lot when teaching the functions of this camera. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us!
Your videos are a great help . They were a great introduction to the functioning of my new FZ300 and now they help me along the way as I come back to them after practising.... I'm looking forward to any new ones....greetings from France
I should know a lot more than I do from having had a digital camera for years, but this FZ300 is a totally new animal. Your video has been very, very helpful. I am thankful for youtube because I can keep stopping and rewinding. :-)
Superconductor Chip how are you liking the fz80? I just bought one too. I wish now Ida bought the fz300 but it doesnt seem worth selling and rebuying. The fz80 has some nice features but I havent taken any shots Id call great. Lol. I think Ill use it to learn on and wait till I know what Im doing before investing in something more. Do you know if you can use filters and those sun shades over the lense on the fz80? I seem to get some flash dots on pictures if theres a glare.
I feel so extremely grateful for the two videos you have made about this camera! Keep going ! You got the best explanations I have ever seen and I can finally use my camera properly to record my videos. Thanks !!
Fantastuc stuff man. Just got the camera, came with you book. I have become much more comfortable learning by video lessons and look forward to adsorbing your content. Thanks for doing this!
Thank you! I really appreciate the information!! This is my 1st bridge camera. I'm very excited about it, but I'm having a very hard time understanding all the new to me terminology and functions! This video was a helpful start! I intend to watch more of your videos to continue learning.
Hi Thanks for a great video I am thinking of getting this camera but was concerned about it being too complicated for a beginner. With these videos being very basic they are ideal easy to understand and informative
Thank you for a great video. Just what I needed as a new user to this camera. Makes me feel much more confident taking photos. Please continue with these type of videos to help us learn to use the camera correctly.
Thank you. This is very very helpful. I am planning to upgrade from my Panasonic Lumix FZ 30 and am looking at the FZ 300 and the FZ 1000. Still trying to decide. So this series and your new series on the FZ 1000 are really helping me to get to know both cameras so that I can make a decision !!!
Thank you so much Graham. I have owned my FZ330 for 20 months now and still don't understand the BASICS of camera language. Until today I didn't understand what AFS and AFC etc meant, and I didn't know I can turn the screen around and close it back with the display facing out! I have already learned several valuable tips from this first lesson and look forward to the series and learning more.
My new FZ300 will be arriving soon, so just want to say 'Thank You' for these videos and the Beginner's Guide. It's actually quite amazing to me that you'll offer this advice, so Thank You again. I've watched some of your other videos and your style is very pleasing to me. So for the 3rd time, Thank You. Steve (Did I remember the thank you???)
Awesome introduction Graham! My FZ300 will be delivered on Friday. With your help I'll be confident to imitate the "Best Practices" you've revealed. I will be using the camera for video in addition to stills; I hope some of your later articles might address ay modifications to the standard setup to make video easier. Than k you!!!
Just got this camera. A couple things attracted me. External mic, 4k video and all the manual settings. I have a Canon M50 with a kit lense and wanted better zoom without having to purchase an expensive lens. With all that considered and the price just under $500 here in the states I figured it would be a good idea to grab. So far this tutorial is great and well explained. Thanks a bunch for the tutorial vids. Also just subbed to your channel.
Thank you for creating this tutorial series. I purchased your book, but as a newbie have struggled with understanding the technical jargon and learning how to use my Lumix camera. This tutorial is just what I needed and I will share with others!
Hi Graham Great introduction and tutorial. I've watched this ahead of me picking up the camera on Friday, just to get me started. I've ordered your guide book too, so hopefully will be well prepared going forwards. Many thanks.
Mr. Houghton. Thank you for this new series. I got the FZ300 this June. I love the pictures that I'm getting, but feel lost in the menus. As example, I have not been able to set the flash to work in daylight as a fill. Thank you again. Wonderful video as always.
Graham, I really enjoyed this video, and followed along to set my fz300. I also order the color guide from Amazon. You always offer good information that is so appreciated. Thanks
I just bought the FZ300 (in 2024) as my FZ200 finally decided il was time to retire.
I felt quite lost on how to use this new caméra, but then I discovered your channel on You Tube.
Thank you so much, it has been really helpfull, and way easier than if I had done it by myself.
Awesome series, no silly comics, irritating music and very informational. Thank you!
Can I tell you how thankful I am for your video? I think the greatest invention of the 21st century is RUclips, and things like these are why. I just unboxed my camera earlier today, and although I watched this video several times in anticipation, I just watched it again, but this time able to go thru my camera settings. Thank you very much for this encouraging comment - really appreciated
Just wanted to say that you do a great job. You have a gentle and kind way about you that makes you easy to listen to, and easy to like. Keep doing what you're doing!

I finally took the time to sit with my camera and watch you ... you ROCK !!!
Excellent presentation. A step by step setting that I appreciate. Very good job Sir, thanks for sharing so generously
I am so happy to find this series! I have had this camera for a couple of years, and am still completely lost! Excited to learn from you! Thank you!!!
I am so lost also
Just got my FZ300 today. Watched your video, got it out and have used it for the first time without stress. Thanks!

I know I'm late, but i want to thank you for this series. You are a wonderful person.
Dude, I'm a total noob. Moving up from a cell phone camera. You make this easy to understand. Thank you.
How gentlemanly, and what a pleasure to follow you! Thank you!
Thanks, Graham. I've had the camera since Christmas but felt too overwhelmed by its complexity to use it much, and altered some settings to try to shoot the Aurora recently. Thanks so much Graham for all your resources. I just bought the FZ300 this week and your help is invaluable.
Great video Graham! Finally I got the FZ300 for my wife and your guide helps a lot when teaching the functions of this camera. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us!

THANK YOU, Graham. A huge help to this noobie. Best wishes from North Carolina.
Considering purchasing one of these---excellent demonstration of what the camera has to offer. Thank you!
I should know a lot more than I do from having had a digital camera for years, but this FZ300 is a totally new animal. Your video has been very, very helpful. I am thankful for youtube because I can keep stopping and rewinding. :-)
Hi Graham I'm following this video with the FZ-80/82 , keep the good work up..
Thank you Graham. Your video is excellent. I just got a FZ300 and this video is perfect. George in Florida.
Thank you for this... Please keep doing these... Total newbie to photography - purchased this camera but wow is it difficult to get settings right.
Graham Houghton...Yes me too...just got this baby FZ300 on last Monday, very good video tutorial thanks
Thanks so much. Had this camera for years but didn’t know how to use it.
Hope the series gives you a better insight into it.
Good clear video for newbies. Thanks Graham. Please bring out next part soon.
Excellent as ever, Graham. Years of photography, and I still find your tutorials helpful - I always learn something.
Yes Graham, I already have your book but think that this series will be a great addition beside it. Thank you sir.
Thank you, Graham. I have your book, which has helped me a lot but it's great to have you actually teaching what to do.

Graham, your videos are informative, crisp and well produced. Well done, please keep it up....
Amazing, video . Got my FZ300 yesterday and found this very useful.
Yes video will feature in the new series, thanks for your comment
Fantastic series. This camera is a lot more fun when you know what it can do. It's very easy to follow you. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this introduction to the FZ 300.
This video was truly awesome. Thank you for taking time to create this for us, Graham.
Thank you.
Thank you for creating this tutorial series. I purchased your book, but as a newbie have struggled with understanding the technical jargon and learning how to use my Lumix camera. This tutorial is just what I needed and I will share with others!
Great video Graham. Many thanks. Looking forward to the next one
Thanks for all your thoughts that have gone into this Graham - very, very useful.
Hi Graham
Great introduction and tutorial.
Thanks
