Hey Videobob! I FINALLY found one of these for my XLR-V and your video is my guide to install it. I'm pumped. Can't wait for your next collab with Hoovie and the rest of the crew
Thanks for the video Bob! I bought an XLR about a year ago...and have been wondering how to stream the music from my phone. This is an awesome fix! I must admit that I was taken back a bit by the $241 price tag. It's not that I'm cheap, but the XM sounds great...I just don't know if I want to spend that much to listen to my play list?
Bob, about 6 months, you were thinking about buying a 1930's lookalike car, there's an Excalibur for sale, via Historics Auctioneers UK, for £18 - £22K
Hey Bob! My dad just got his XLR and is super excited about it! My main question is, does this Bluetooth module automatically pair with your phone when you turn on the car? Or do you have to manually select it from your Bluetooth device list every time you want to connect? Using a little FM transmitter now and it sucks that he’s gotta pull out his phone to connect every time. Hope to hear back and thanks for the informative video!!
Please note that not all XLRs came with XM/Sirius and this module will not work. I "think" 04s, the first year, do not have it, as mine does not. In that case you have to use an FM modulator instead.
Just installed it in my 2006 XLR-V and it works as advertised ... including the phone. :-) (FYI - the only place that had it in stock was Amazon :-( ^v^
I have installed a Sony XAV-AX5500 in my 2006 XLR, replacing the old original radio Nav system that came with it. Can I still install the USA Spec BT45-VETTE to achieve wireless Bluetooth with my iPhone 13? If not, any ideas?
This product has been out of stock for almost a year. Does anyone know of a product that is comparable to it that allows phone and music bluetooth integration? They do not know if the product will be back in stock.
The only thing that ducks about Sirius Xm is the automatic billing. If you try to cancel subscription they will give you a hard time, and make you talk to someone who will try to keep you from canceling.
You could have used one of those Bluetooth / FM transmitters that transmits the phone to the FM radio which is what I do with commercial vehicles I drive. No installation of anything other than plug into cigar outlet. A lot cheaper too.
'06 XLR-V owner here and I've been looking into the BT45 for a few days - so glad you made this video given how rare these cars are! Cheers man.
That XLR gets better looking every episode!
Thanks for the tutorial. I installed the BT45-VETTE into my 2007 XLR, it was plug & play. I accessed the plug through the trunk using a small pick.
I don't own a Cadillac XLR as I live in Australia, I just enjoy watching Bobs videos

Thanks video Bob you just saved me a ton of money and worry about upgrading my stereo.
Thanks Bob for the video. I just installed mine and I love it. Really appreciate it 👍🏽
this is great... i knew there was a way to do this without permanent change...
Just installed it in my 2006 XLR-V and it works Great! Thanx Bob, you Rock! 🤘 ^v^

If that price scares you, this is not the car for you. Sell it immediately and buy a Honda.
I've already spent thousands and thousands.......I am no longer scared...just shocked. LOL

Yes, auto connects quickly
Any update on your XLR?

You need a triple black 96 fleetwood
I like to see you by a 1950s checkered cab from New York I'm really customize it
Does the BT45 also let you take calls through the bluetooth on the vehicle?

How did you route the microphone cable and where did you locate the microphone?

I can not find a source to buy the bt45-vette directly, appears like they only sold thru dealers with installation?
Did you not use the mic that came with it ?

Do the steering wheel controls work to change the song this way?

That's how I wind up with a good price. I pay $6/month
Thats how you get it for nothing, I have 3 cars and pay 200 a year for all of them
Does this work on the CTS Wagons XM systems as well?
Hello, do you need to run the mic for the phone, or does the voice command still work with the bt45 vette module
Did you ever open the safe?
Nope. Never going to. Stop asking.
@@RobertMoseley Didn't mean to step on toes sir just never saw the follow up.
