I mean Melinoe has the advantage of meeting Hades after he was re-united with his wife and reconciled with his family. Zagreus wasn't so lucky.
Then again Zagreus had the luxury of being the protagonist in a story with no real villain during peace time while Melinoe is basically a child soldier so who knows who the "lucky" one is.
The end of the story better have a teamup between Melinoe and Zagreus, I need to see our boy kick ass again (also we need zag to reunite with skelly somehow)
Hades 3 gonna let you play as Mel and Zag
Hades 4 is Zag battling the Roman equivalent of the Olympus Gods
Imagine them updating Hades I where you can play as Zagreus when his sister finally frees him
In Hades 6 , Zag and Melinoe will defend the Olympus from the invasion of the Syro-Canaanite gods.

Im crossing my fingers that we get a multiplayer mode where the 2nd character is Zagreus with all his old weapons. It would be soooo cool hearing these 2 banter as they climb through the dungeons.
I can imagine Zag poking at her to not take things so seriously. A more friendly rivalry of sorts.
Alternatively, Zagerus is thoroughly overprotective, given the last he saw of Melinda was a newborn baby.
Zagreus acts as the equivalent of Thanatos from his game
I just realized it’s kinda like a Dante and Vergil thing.
One is snarky and jokes around a lot
The other takes things mostly seriously
He can't use his old weapons though stygian blade is now nemesis adamant rail is now eris and presumably the other ones went to different people too

My favorite part of this game is the difference in dynamic between Zagreus and Hades, and Melinoë and Hades. She’s affectionate towards her father, while Zagreus is constantly taking playful (if not outright aggressive) jabs at his father.
Lmao. Its pretty clear melinoe is Dad's favorite kid or he cleaned up his attitude (not mutually exclusive, haha). Nice to see developed Hades

@mop-kun2381 They were two when I read Greek mythology.
But, Wikipedia and other links show that they were often conflated.
@@quantgeekery6358 sometime they are considered different gods, but in others they are considered the same.
Cronus, Chronos, Saturn, are just different interpretations from different group of people, in ancient Greek era , to rationalize the concept of time.

My comment was based on the information I recalled from ~30 years ago when they were identified distinctly as two separate deities with different functions. The fact is that they have been conflated and separated over two thousand years, making my statement invalid.
Cronus and Chronos represented two different concepts (harvest and time) and were (per Wikipedia-linked sources) conflated into Chronus/Chronos, the god of harvesting/time.
If the ancient Greeks sometimes combined them and sometimes did not, there is no basis for me or anyone to insiste they HAVE to be separate in a videogame.
Bruh imagine a boonless run 💀💀💀 Hades would be completely baffled.

even then hes far weaker now than he was and he also doesnt have the other titians who i assume are either up on the surface wreaking everything keeping the others busy as that is literally the only thing that can explain why the full might of the gods and Aphrodite who in hades is older than the others coming from cronoses father not cronose is not marching down there now i do hope we get something on how crosos killed his own father for his mother for his mantle of king of the titains

I suspect that, given there's a surface journey too, travelling to Olympus might allow for an eventual 'permanent' defeat of Chronos.
That is, freeing everyone he trapped and fundamentally changing the circumstances of fighting him when the game is over.
Or, perhaps, it will involve both Olympus and then Chaos. Chaos seems the most reasonable character to be able to do something very longterm to Chronos.
how to have a final boss still after the ending tho...
@@thebaseandtriflingcreature174 According to my current theory, I imagine they'd trap Chronos in some sort of simulation or dream. Melinoë keeps fighting Chronos so he doesn't realize that it's fake.

I don't think it's possible on the current state of the game, i might be wrong so who knows
@@silverash896Well, I think its possible but incredibly harder than in Hades 1, since there is no way to cleanse boons away, you need the hammer to spawn at the start and then have enough luck that you always have atleast one path with no boon.
@@whitedragon1551I haven't played the early access so guess the only thing we can Hope is so they add the Pool of Purging in the early access or something sort of It (I haven't played but I guess that there is none at the moment). I don't even know if you can change room rewards in the early access. Is there any dice-room-rewards avaliable?
I want to know if Zagreus and the others are okay. Will they ever be saved by Melinöe?
seeing how the last game went there is a decent chance that you either restore the house to the first games version to some degree or convert chronos to be good somehow

They're inside the house, unable to move as their time's frozen. Unless Chronos wants them to, they're unaware of what's happening AFAIK.
