Okay detail clearly shows that if you have a gaming PC you should use that. But what about the frame rate on the quest 2 version? Is it any good if you don't have a PC?
In my experience, exclusively limited to the Quest version, yes, it is. Framerate is stable and I never got the slightest glimpse of discomfort or nausea from the game even after very long play sessions, although I must stress I never use the thumb sticks to turn on Quest games, always turning in place in the real world instead. See, I come from a PSVR1 which I still use semi-regularly to play Hitman and NMS, but as it doesn't have MOHAB and RE4 in its catalogue I got the Quest 2 almost exclusively to play those - specially MOH because I'm an obsessive uber-fan of the series - so whilst using the Quest and finding myself untethered and free of the restrictive camera-facing technical limitation I find myself using the left thumbstick for moving forward, backwards and sideways but completely ignoring the right thumbstick for turning, going for the real thing instead without even thinking about it. Consequently, I really can't tell whether the combination of the game's framerate and that particular aspect of the otherwise standard VR FPS locomotion system feels particularly taxing on the average couch-sitting player. I can tell you, however, as I already mentioned, that playing the game by turning in place in the real world whilst standing or sitting felt completely right and effortless to me for hours on end. Generally speaking, I would find hard to believe the game ever goes below the 72 fps mark even during its busiest moments, or that's my perception at least. In short, based on my experience, I'd say it performs diligently, and if you don't own a gaming PC and don't have the dough and/or the disposition to grab one the Quest 2 does a perfectly serviceable job and definitely makes the game readily available and enjoyable enough for roughly the same price, adjusted for inflation, you would've paid for an original PS1 to play the very first MOH back in 1999, which is just a fraction of what a PCVR solution would cost you. Your mileage may vary but for me personally that's one hell of a good deal.
You can change the graphic settings on the quest 2 I can tell he put it on the lowest settings, makes for a more shocking comparison. It actually looks a lot better. The PC version looks absolutely sick though

What do you expect for a $299 headset as opposed to 1000s of $ for pcvr.. if you have a quest you have a great deal comparatively.. everyone heavily invested in pc vr is irritated by the overwhelming focus now of developers prioritizing all their time and effort into making quest titles and abandoning quality pc vr titles in the name of profit due to the overwhelming market share of vr users having a quest and either not making the quality pc vr version or if making the pc vr version it's like an afterthought with virtually the same or barely any better than the quest graphics without making the most of the much higher processing power of pc vr
No chance against pc. Even ps5 games in vr looks like ps2. While in PC u can run old ps3 games without losing any quality of reflection shadow etc... its a punch in the face for console players.

It's not that they aren't capable of putting the detail on it, it's because the Quest doesn't support higher levels of detail than this. Textures or Polycounts can't be made greater without incurring an enormous cost, especially for something that is on-screen all the time. The quest isn't great for realistic games. So if that's a huge deal breaker for you, use PC VR / PS VR. The quest is great for low cost art-styles. Realism just isn't viable yet.

It maintains a very cheap price point by cutting tons of corners. Even a 200 buck Android phone is better than a Quest 2. BTW an Android phone has PHONE function and many other features, like you can download many useful Android apps for FREE. You have a good camera for a 200 buck Android phone too. You can use Android phones to play VR games using a cheap 30 buck headset too. Quest 2 is for dudes with absolutely no knowledge of computers and smartphones and who never know the games their are playing are VERY OLD PCVR games and yet much DOWNGRADED.
It is, that is why there are graphics settings in game that make it look much better
You can add anti-aliasing, improve the resolution and the textures
Quest2 is such an impressive headset VR "standalone" ,don't forget it is a mobile processor !!!!
Indeed, I think this is frankly amazing what they have done. And it does look a lot better inside the headset than it does on RUclips footage.
Cope.
stil bullshit, your smarthphone runs ps3 graphic in low setting. this is baggage.
Quest 2 = WELCOME BACK TO 2001, THE PS2 GRAPHICS ERA
That's the one empty briefing room. Details suck
You do know that he put graohics to minimum right?
@@chivolinlol Low fps creates motion sickness in VR very easily. FPS>* in VR if you play for more than a few minutes at a time.
@@zodwraith5745 i dont have motion sickness at 30-20 fps on vr man
and i play for 3-4 hour
@@Grizzalis You're the vast minority or you don't know your actual FPS. 20 is _really_ low and says there's something wrong with your hardware.
Most people need at least 45 but prefer 60 fps+ for extended play. Especially with any lag at all. I have no issues but my PC is fast enough I rarely go below 90fps. But I quickly get woozy if there's delay or tracking issues.
This is why I can't get behind wireless VR. I'll gladly deal with the wire if it means my games don't look like this. My GPU does a better job rendering graphics than whatever piddly onboard GPU the Quest 2 is running. I'm glad there's an option to wire it up to my PC, because it looks like I'm going to be using it that way completely.
The texture colors on the Quest 2 look very pale compared to the PC version... for some reason. A gun that should look black looks gray on the Quest. Too bad.
Have you seen pc requirements? I'm surprised it runs on quest
@@KP-48-007 PC requirements are high because the game is not optimized.
due to missing power, there are no reflections. without them black gun would look worse, than a gray simulating in some way shiny metal. detail that i wont be focusing on tho
@@SINfromPL yeah I noticed it also that they disabled metallic reflections. But I wonder if it was really necessary because I haven't noticed any FPS drop for a game I'm working on for VR when adding metallic reflection to SOME objects. And it adds so much more to the visuals! Also, why the textures and models of the guns has to be so low quality when they are the objects that you see all the time up close... typical soulless corporate workflow. Boss say, the employee implements to all.
@@kfireven ill be happy to see your work. Sounds more like a test project, rather than full gameplay stuff. Once you start adding ai, dynamic objects, transparent materials etc it all adds up. You can also have real time shadows on quest, but it cost a lot on top of everything else hence why nobody is really using it
не ожидал я что такое этот шлем может потянуть я проходил ее на компьютере и то он нагревался и напрягался ) . графика конечно по хуже но все же играбельно тем более учитывая что это полностью автономное решение это круто.
What about PC VR Streaming to a Quest 2? how dose that do in terms of graphics?
They really should put geforce now or whatever on these headsets this is atrocious
well... i'm guessing the pc vr was the game being streamed to the quest 2
streaming pcvr to quest doesn't alter the graphics, it's still just the pc graphics. all it does is stream a video signal to the quest
I guess this is the best game we can have for a $299 standalone headset.
It's really not.
best looking? probably. best game? that's subjective.
@@ImTheRealJake Well, it's right up there.
My favorite ww2 vr experience😊
Wii Graphics
Im hoping for a PSVR2 version.
Quest version looks like shit, as expected. Hope Quest 3 will be much more powereful.
Looks good
@@justinspirational Not much. That's why I didn't buy it.
It’s still useful as a wireless vr headset
You can get the PCVR quality on the Quest 2, you just need a vr capable PC.
I'm not so sure the pc version really brings much more to the table... seems like the quest version looks pretty good
??? you blind
@@Beowulf_93 This mf literally cannot see
The writing of this game was absolutely awful. Irredeemable. Also why would they think it's okay to have a child soldier?
23 is not a child, at least not back them when men existed.
@@Moctop He's 16.
There were LOTS of child soldiers in WW2 on all sides.
why hatin on harry potter bro?
No chance against pc. Even ps5 games in vr looks like ps2. While in PC u can run old ps3 games without losing any quality of reflection shadow etc...
its a punch in the face for console players.
Wow, that looks hilariously bad, almost PS1 levels of bad. But hardly surprising.
Yikes, this reminds me of a game I would've played 15 years ago. The standalone headsets are just ahead of their time. The tech is here, but it's not ready. In 15 years they will be great, but I refuse to play games that look this awful in 2021.
You don't play games in VR you live them
@@marcusdaniels4180 Fr. It’s got a way of sucking you in so extremely well that it barely matters.

Bloody incredible for a phone on your face basically...
Quest 3, 4 will be amazing. Graphics get to the point where they become less important.
Cope. Stop simping for Facebook.
@@Wobbothe3rd I don't get your comment lol
@Beren Erdem sure amazing is subjective. However quest 3 will have at least another 50% higher power, improved optics and slightly better FOV. Resident evil 4 still blows me away on quest 2.
Games like saints and sinners on quest 3 will have better textures, resolution and draw distances. It already looks great if you bump up the resolution on sidequest.
I'm very excited for quest 3.
boy this look worse than allied assault from mfing 2002 lmaoo even worse the forest part looks like that tarzan game hahaha, standalone is literally 20 years in the past, future of vr?more like devolution of vr,cant wait for sony to release psvr 2 it will be so funny to see vr sony studios games with the power of a ps5 and then standalone facebook 20 year old turds it will look like ps2 vs ps5,honestly id rather play allied assault in vorpx on pc it will be 10 times sharper at least.
Also the gun is the main game object that the player sees all the time, the guns should have been much higher quality. I expect better from a known multi-million dollar company.
Realism just isn't viable yet.
wow 오큘러스퀘스트3 언제나와요?
BE AWARE the footage you just saw have nothing to do with was you see in the lense of quest 2 ugly graphic no antialiasing line everywhere thats awful shit! even the garbage pc version take 169 gig and was so poorly optimized take gtx 2080 to run it correclty.and a decent cpu
when Quest3 launches this will definitely have a proper release as it was intended to look
Damn if I had known this was hitting PC I would never have bought the quest version. Sniper elite on the quest 2 is also ugly AF.
44GB for a game that looks like it was made in 2006. We really are in strange times...
no need to compare them since it works great as PC VR as well, so basically it is comparing it to itself :)
If Quest 2 is OLED it would be nicer to look at.
it wouldn't though. the colors would be nicer and the blacks would be darker, but the screen door effect would be worse and there would be massive black smearing.
a shinier turd is still a turd, cant add more polygons lol looks like ass
As usual, pcvr version far better, the quest 2 version just looks too cartoony, lack of detail etc
20 minutes of this is too long. I could of gotten the comparison idea in 5 min video
I guess I don't get the point of these videos.
Comparing fidelity and graphics from a PCVR set up, to a standalone set up, is a no brainer. The fact that such a game is even possible on Quest, even with reduced rendering of foliage, is simply put... pretty amazing, and should be left at that.
So I guess I just don't see the point of this video, and other videos like it.
It's just interesting to see the diference, that's all. I personally love these videos.
Its to see how it stacks up agianst pcvr, not which is better
I agree, however I do find it useful to get feel on the differences. It's the remarks that do not take account of the proper context (on mobile processor, etc.) that are rather pointless.
It has been done between consoles for years, why not but the thing is pc even the lowest end of pcs are soooo much more powerfull than mobile phones that its almost comical to see these comparisions, and it makes you wonder is it really worth it to play such inferior version?
@@Cazanu417 Inferior is subjective, tell that to te person that does not have a (VR worthy) PC. I played the Quest 2 version and it's certainly not bad at all, and sometimes the gap is not THAT big depending on the map. There is also a high resolution and MSAA2x or MSAA4x options which at default are all turned off. I don't see any review mentioning this. Skyrim was abysmal on consoles compared to PC, however millions on console enjoyed it...
Nah... It's not noticeable! 😂
Lmao
It looks great on Oculus Quest 2, the PC version is not much better! Half Life Alyx is the best PC VR grafic game! What is about new rendering method with 70% more power on Quest 2, when the games will get this update??

Uh, fortnite mobile actually DOESNT look as bad as this. THE WHOLE POINT OF VR IS IMMERSION, so graphics quality is MORE RELEVANT to VR than mobile anyway.
The quest 2 is clearly very capable. I hope they keep porting ps2 games, hopefully gta sa vr will be a success
