How would you look at the statistics for land cover change after a land cover classification of 2 or more photos?

Hi, after the classification the changes can be detected using the area - statistics. For Ex: I have two sets of image for 2012 & 2015, I have classified both images, my next step will be area calculation for each feature in 2012 image and it will be compared with 2015 image. The difference can be checked by calculating the area of both image & changes can be seen for each class. Thanks for your valuable question, If your doubts still persists please reply us.

Terra Spatial how do I calculate for area? Do I have to do it manually or is there a tool I can use? Also do the images need to be projected first? Or does erdas have a set unit measurement for each pixel? Thanks a ton!

@@diehleo Hi there is tool to calculate the area in Erdas Imagine. After finishing the lulc classification go to the option Table (Right hand corner) and select--> Add Area and select units, the Area will be automatically calculated. Thanks for your valuable comment.
