    This is a prime example of using every tool available in your arsenal. Eerie instruments, off-kilter rhythm, a tone that's all over the place, and best of all, a 23/16 time signature. This, my friend, is a masterclass in boss music.

    Yeah this one went straight into my permanent D&D playlist. Used it randomly when I forgot to prep music for a ghost fight and now plan to save it for an undead BBEG in the future. Seems pretty perfect for the end of Tomb of Annihilation

    SO glad I finally got to drop this on my players yesterday. They are literally fighting/running through a HORDE of undead to the gates of Dwarven Halls in hopes of barricading it to get out of the thick of things. EVERY last player mentioned how epic and unique this music is. I've been driving to this in my car and envisioning this homebrew session for months

    I played D&D once with 5 regular players... they were so 'in-to-it' and even became scared at points. I couldn't see the fear or even pick up on the atmosphere at all. It's just a game, I couldn't see how an adult could get scared or even become pasionate about a game? Mind you, I'm the same when I see people screaming or becoming violent at football games... why, it's just a game? It would be different if your family was being held hostage but when it is just a game - and a game you will gain nothing from if you win - why get so engrossed in it? Sorry, I just don't see the appeal.
    That said, this music is quite unique.

    • @laughingpanda4395
      @laughingpanda4395 2 года назад +2

      When playing dnd you stimulate a part of the brain that relates to real life experiences. People remember key moments in games as if they were really there taking part in it.
      It's a unique story telling game. The most imaginative people love it. Artists, musicians etc.
      Some folks just cant get into it and that's fine of course. Not everything is fun for everyone.
      I would say to give it another shot some day. Maybe that particular dm just didnt do it for you. Everyone has their own style.

    • @Eric4bz
      @Eric4bz Год назад

      To truly enjoy a D&D session, one has to 'immerse' themselves, as it were. Playing the role of your character as if it is you, rather than just telling an npc 'walk five paces forward and punch gobbo in face' can make things much more fun. If that's not something that inspires you, then perhaps the role of DM or even just a designer could suit you nicely if getting engrossed isn't possible or enjoyable for you. It can be fun to create something that makes people squirm uncomfortably in their seat, or take the characters by shock and surprise. I've not played much but gave my hand at my first homebrew attempt. Passed it along to a friend and this thing apparently caused some players skin to crawl.
