As Christians we should vote for two reasons: #1 Protect the unborn and the helpless. #2 - With our vote we have the opportunity to hold back evil and prevent laws that not only will be detrimental to us believers, but also to prevent the passing of laws that will impact our children/future generations.

Trump supports the abortion pill which is 62% of abortions, and a 16 wk cut off. That's like 92% of abortions. I cannot in good conscience support that. What's even better is that he deconstructed the faith of his family also, except for his youngest, who has never heard the gospel. Back in 2008, my friend and I were discussing the upcoming election in Canada. My friend and I are both Christians. In fact, the friend I am speaking about works for the Answers in Genesis organization. Anyway, my friend had said to me that even though he wanted to vote for the Christian Heritage Party that was running in the election, he had decided that it would be a wasted vote, as they would not be able to win the election, and that he had decided to vote for Stephen Harper and his Conservative party, as their platform lined up with his beliefs far more than the Liberal Party, and there was no way that Canada could allow the Liberals to get into power, as their platform was far to radical and would destroy Canada. So, he cast his vote for Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party. Meanwhile, I had made it known to my friend that I was not going to vote in the election, and that the reason I was not going to vote, was because I didn't trust either of the two main parties, the Liberals or the Conservatives, and that I wouldn't want any evil that they do to weigh on my conscience. He said that I was making a foolish mistake, that could allow the Liberals to get into power. A couple of years later, Stephen Harper ordered the Canadian military to bomb Libya, a country that had never attacked or waged war against Canada in any way, shape of form. Our Canadian military bombed civilian sites, such as Tripoli University, and many innocent lives were lost in the bombing campaign. My friend's vote helped pave the way for that bombing campaign. To my fellow Christians, don't allow anyone to pressure you into voting for the lesser of two evils, if your God given conscience is telling you to take a stand against evil. Always listen to your conscience, and trust God's discernment.

Nearly every candidate of developed nations wants to uphold many of the good laws of the land, such as laws against murder, fraud, spousal abuse, theft, corruption, unfaithful weights in commerce, etc. So not everything that a candidate is for is evil. So, in the sense that any of the smallest sins is adequate to send someone to hell, not all sins are equally evil. Jesus taught us that there are degrees of sin and evil. In Matthew 23:23, He said, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice, mercy, and faith; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others." The weightier matters of the law are those, which when violated, are of greater evil. Similarly, while lusting after a woman is adequate to send someone to hell, the physical act of fornication or adultery is of greater evil. Likewise, for hating someone or committing murder. While both are sin, one is worse than the other.
It always humbles my heart to see God's faithful servants doing His will. I said this before and I will say it again, God did not place us here to sit idly. God placed us here to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world and that means to fight for righteousness sake! We are not here to vote on a persons moral character, we are here to vote on policies that will save the lives of thousands of babies and children. Policies that align closer to the kingdom, and no you are not a lukewarm for voting the lesser of the 2 evils. We were created for such a time as this because, thousands of innocent lives are depending on us. The Bible always seems to sit on the shelf during election season. I did not see any scriptural evidence for the conclusion. The two sections on voting look more like political ads from the world than a Christian video. Many Christians do not vote because they follow the literal teachings of Scripture (2 Corinthians 6:14) and trust God completely in His sovereign choice of worldly leaders. (Romans 13:1) Telling Christians who abstain from voting that they should blame themselves for the sins of the world is laying a heavy burden on Christians, especially weaker ones in the faith. There are good reasons why voting is not compulsory in the US, it's a shame that many Christian leaders add a commandment where even our own government wouldn't dare.

America is suffering under the weight of its own sins, not because ppl aren't supporting the "right" party. You can't understand it because you don't believe the Bible. Like many other ppl, you don't understand that political problems cannot and will not solve what are inherently spiritual problems. The political, societal, and cultural issues stem from ppl rejecting God's laws and following their own reasoning. BOTH parties are guilty of this.
One candidate wants to leave it to the way the laws of this country were written, the other wants national legalization via legislation that would legally supersede said laws. These two scenarios are not one in the same. Voting for the former keeps it at a minimum and still gives citizens a better say, whereas the latter gives the government complete control over something a lot of people didnt ask for.

To follow your assertion to its logical conclusion would be like saying - I shouldn’t have a job because I have to work for worldly people who aren’t Christians and I have to interact with their wickedness and even choose to put up and deal with there error and confusion.
That doesn’t work, my friend. But God’s word says if you don’t work you don’t eat.

We are also called to be a good witness for Christ. By shirking your Christian duty to voice your Christian worldview, how is that being a good witness for Christ? That’s turning down opportunities for the gospel. Moreover it’s choosing to be undiscerning. That’s sinful in and of itself. To be discerning is not a option in the Christian walk, it’s a command in scripture.
1 John 4:1
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
When you take this stance of neutrality as if it doesn’t matter the choices you make in the opinions that your voice, you’re communicating with him that lack of discernment through an unwillingness to take a stand against unrighteousness.
How is that being ready with an answer to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that within you? It’s not. Rather, it’s just shrugging your shoulders, saying “I don’t know.” That’s the Joel Osteen response.
Is that pleasing to God? It’s absolutely not.

You’re being “feelings “and oriented, rather than “ principally “-oriented. You’re letting fear of man beer determining factor, which is predicated upon your being driven by your emotions. Rather so you are spurred to fear God and let that be your defining authority in life, which is predicated upon being driven by the truth found exclusively in God‘s word.
You’re called to defend and protect the innocent.
Proverbs 24:11-12
“Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?”
So stand up for the Christian values and oppose the worldly and satanic values. If your assumption is that the two candidates are equally weighed and it doesn’t matter either which way - I would encourage you to actually hold to scripture and recognize that you’re being intellectually dishonest in your assumption and incredibly naive in your discernment.

Back in 2008, my friend and I were discussing the upcoming election in Canada. My friend and I are both Christians. In fact, the friend I am speaking about works for the Answers in Genesis organization. Anyway, my friend had said to me that even though he wanted to vote for the Christian Heritage Party that was running in the election, he had decided that it would be a wasted vote, as they would not be able to win the election, and that he had decided to vote for Stephen Harper and his Conservative party, as their platform lined up with his beliefs far more than the Liberal Party, and there was no way that Canada could allow the Liberals to get into power, as their platform was far to radical and would destroy Canada. So, he cast his vote for Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party. Meanwhile, I had made it known to my friend that I was not going to vote in the election, and that the reason I was not going to vote, was because I didn't trust either of the two main parties, the Liberals or the Conservatives, and that I wouldn't want any evil that they do to weigh on my conscience. He said that I was making a foolish mistake, that could allow the Liberals to get into power.
A couple of years later, Stephen Harper ordered the Canadian military to bomb Libya, a country that had never attacked or waged war against Canada in any way, shape of form. Our Canadian military bombed civilian sites, such as Tripoli University, and many innocent lives were lost in the bombing campaign. My friend's vote helped pave the way for that bombing campaign.
To my fellow Christians, don't allow anyone to pressure you into voting for the lesser of two evils, if your God given conscience is telling you to take a stand against evil. Always listen to your conscience, and trust God's discernment.

So, in the sense that any of the smallest sins is adequate to send someone to hell, not all sins are equally evil. Jesus taught us that there are degrees of sin and evil. In Matthew 23:23, He said, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice, mercy, and faith; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others." The weightier matters of the law are those, which when violated, are of greater evil. Similarly, while lusting after a woman is adequate to send someone to hell, the physical act of fornication or adultery is of greater evil. Likewise, for hating someone or committing murder. While both are sin, one is worse than the other.

It always humbles my heart to see God's faithful servants doing His will. I said this before and I will say it again, God did not place us here to sit idly. God placed us here to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world and that means to fight for righteousness sake! We are not here to vote on a persons moral character, we are here to vote on policies that will save the lives of thousands of babies and children. Policies that align closer to the kingdom, and no you are not a lukewarm for voting the lesser of the 2 evils. We were created for such a time as this because, thousands of innocent lives are depending on us. I see a lot of southern evangelical white Christians say this.. This simply means that 80 percent of black Christians are not christians and 80 percent of white Christians(especially southern evangelicals) are Christians. so could it mean if you want to be a Christian just be white and you would make heaven. or simply listen to whom they tell you to vote or simply go to their church or listen to their pastors as anything other than them has to be fake.. this is very interesting.CHRISTIANITY has a demography . it is southern white or nothing else.. its more interesting because i hear it on the lips of a significant amount of white southern evangelicals...

The Bible always seems to sit on the shelf during election season. I did not see any scriptural evidence for the conclusion. The two sections on voting look more like political ads from the world than a Christian video. Many Christians do not vote because they follow the literal teachings of Scripture (2 Corinthians 6:14) and trust God completely in His sovereign choice of worldly leaders. (Romans 13:1) Telling Christians who abstain from voting that they should blame themselves for the sins of the world is laying a heavy burden on Christians, especially weaker ones in the faith. There are good reasons why voting is not compulsory in the US, it's a shame that many Christian leaders add a commandment where even our own government wouldn't dare.
He’s not laying a burden on me. I like Ray, but he acts as if the other side is doing a lot for Christianity. I mean, they’re more tolerant for sure. It would be too unpopular for anyone to take away the choice at Federal level. One candidate, at least, wants states to limit the damage. One candidate wants to leave it to the way the laws of this country were written, the other wants national legalization via legislation that would legally supersede said laws. These two scenarios are not one in the same. Voting for the former keeps it at a minimum and still gives citizens a better say, whereas the latter gives the government complete control over something a lot of people didnt ask for.

My favorite yard sign is "vote like your daughter's rights depend on it" and I am blown away by how they don't understand or recognize the hypocrisy of that because what rights does your daughter have if you abort her? And who is the one who took her rights away at that point?
If you're a citizen it's your duty to vote. Being an American is a gift that should not be squandered.
But for us Christians, the USA is not our home! Jesus told Pilate in John 18:36, "My kingdom is not of this world." And, Philippians 3:20 says to us Christians that pur citizenship is in Heaven, from which we eagerly wait for a Savior, even the Lord Jesus!

All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. We know that Republicans aren't perfect, but the Democrats set policies against God and the unborn.
Casting a blank ballot shows that you are politically engaged but unsatisfied with the candidates. These votes are still carefully counted and can signal that the people want to see change going forward. Something to think about!

I'm still praying. It really hurts to hear brothers and sisters in Christ criticizing each other instead of loving each other. Why don't we consider that God is guiding us in seemingly different different ways because He is guiding us individually for reasons only He sees the outcome of in our individual lives.
