[TAS] Pizza Tower 101% WIP - Floor 1

- TASes of Pizza Tower don't have sound working at the moment, so I edited in songs.
I also added some captions explaining some of the Chef Tasks.
Finally did all the levels in Floor 1, but I still have room for improvement.
For 101% you need:
- All P-Ranks
- All secrets
- All treasures
- All toppins
- All Chef Tasks (or Achievements)
Once again, shoutouts to Vexxter for making TAS videos of Pizza Tower first that I could learn (steal) from. His Bloodsauce TAS is a thing of beauty.

This feels like it’s the OST of floor 1 with gameplay
That speaks more about what sort of game Pizza Tower is than the quality of the TAS. Trust me, as someone who's just finished getting every shirt in the game (which includes everything in 101%, P Ranks, AND a Good Ending speedrun), this is on another level.

It's because current TAS capabilities remove sound from the game so they have to put music on with a video editor

With these speed conservation moves that TAS Peppino is doing, he's basically Pizzelle at this point.

The movements are so fast and fluid it almost feels like the footage is sped up, it's amazing
It kinda is, considering some times “TASers” slow down the game to make more precise movements.

The way Peppino just spooks the Forknights in Bloodsauce Dungeon before yeeting it out of there made me want to clap like a seal.
This is freaking incredible. It was my dream to see something like this and now you're making it a reality. I can't wait to see more
you know a game is well polished when a speedrun doesn't need glitches to get a perfect time, just optimizations
i mean there is one glitch that is utilized, by pressing pause and exit right when you enter the exit door, you can skip the rank animation entirely

@@robutolexcept for the glitch Yaysuu mentioned, these move techs are multiple codes running at the same time so their not glitches.
I know that you're putting a lot of work into this TAS, both in the actual encoding and the presentation, and I appreciate it. If you don't mind, I'd like the captions to cover the various tricks you use in future TAS updates, if you aren't already planning to. It'd go a long way in making the gameplay more understandable.
You don't even have to describe them the first time they come up, just when there's silence and the trick is relevant (like the fast falling in Bloodsauce Dungeon).
Regardless, thank you for making this TAS, I've been wondering what a Pizza Tower one would look like for a while.

The TAS styling on the boss is one of the funniest things ever. Also, this is amazing, i've wanted to see a TAS run of this game since it came out to see how optimized the movement could get and the fact that you can barely understand what's going on is amazing. I cannot wait for the full run's release. Amazing job.

Absolutely amazing, I was wondering when a TAS of this game would happen.
One thing in Bloodsauce Dungeon, if you go to the left of the starting gate, and do a wall grab onto the starting pedestal while dashing, you're able to get into a mach dash faster than with sliding. I'm not sure if the setup would negate the time save, but it's still a pretty cool trick to show off regardless.

It is you just have to super taunt and uppercut on the same frame, which is actually not as hard as it sounds
Also at 13:50 you can jump off of the side of the flouting cheese platform on laps 1 and 2. It will skip 8 clocks in total but you will still have points for a p rank because you got p before getting the bell at 14:52

I don't know if it could save time, but in the 3rd before last room in Pizzascape with the priest next to the door, if you hold a super jump and hold the left button, you can reach the door in half of the time that was shown in this video

44 for me - though you do know this is a TAS right? They're not making the physical inputs themselves

@@UltraLuey A TAS is a Tool Assisted Speedrun, in essence the creator of one uses a tool that allows them to make inputs frame-by-frame, so you can say hold left for 5 frames then press jump for one frame, etc. You essentially manually create a perfect run, impossible for a normal player, the maximum ideal plays

@@chikimoco It would be interesting, if wishful thinking, to see a "True 101%" speedrun category of Pizza Tower emerge, but (at least) two full playthroughs with all costumes, p ranks and chef tasks might be a bit hard.

Jump, grab dash, and let go of the mach run button, and the frame you land, press the other direction and hold the mach run button again

I like the idea but it's awkward because I'd have to farm 50 damage for the skull clothes and I just wanna go fast.

The sound effects being missing feels wrong, but I imagine it would be very irritating to hear them constantly too

How do you go mach 3 instantly when you hit john? Arent you like supposed to slow down when you hit him? How do you do that

The fast falling is either holding down or TAS only. The turning is a frames perfect grab and direction input
@@witepybro9443fast fall is a complex yet easy speedrun trick that needs a wall, and momentum conservation can be made easier with a taunt or pause

It's for points. It kills 5 enemies in a single super taunt.

Pizzascape is extremely strict with the S Rank requirement for some reason, so a couple detours for points is necessary
How do you do that fastfall tech? I know how to do it off a wall, but not in midar.
Dash -> Jump -> Duck -> You quickly press Jump
