Let me show you what it's like to travel alone in the Philippines, starting from Cebu city and passing Moalboal with its sardines, the breathtaking views from the Osmeña Peaks, the famous Kawasan Falls and Pescador Island with its rigorous marine life.

A me è nata una forte passione per le lingue ma non sono portato, non so se la mia fatica sia collegata al mio essere sensibile,introverso e ai miei blocchi oppure no perchè ho notato che la maggior parte delle persone riesce a studiare le lingue facilmente, non so se sono nate tutte con la predisposizione innata e io insieme alla minoranza siamo gli unici sfigati a non averla e se serve avere un talento per non faticare con le lingue......

Mio marito viene trasferito a Cebu città per lavoro e ci trasferiremo proprio li a vivere.
L altra scelta è il licenziamento.
Io devo seguirlo ma un conto è una vacanza un conto viverci.
Sono terrorizzata dai tifoni, dal clima umido e caldo, e la sanità.

Ciao Maria Enrica, grazie per il commento e per il suggerimento, la vita nelle Filippine è sicuramente un argomento interessante da trattare! Nelle prossime settimane continuerò a pubblicare video sul mio viaggio, in cui emergeranno tanti aspetti della loro cultura e stile di vita. Non perderteli :)
In ogni caso, provo a descriverti un po’ le mie sensazioni sulle Filippine, considerando sempre che ogni esperienza può essere diversa ed un trasferimento in Asia è una scelta molto personale.
Andare a vivere nelle Filippine può essere un grande cambiamento, ma tra tutti i paesi asiatici che ho conosciuto, la cultura filippina è forse la più simile a quella occidentale. C’è tanta influenza americana e spagnola che si nota in molti aspetti, a partire dalla lingua: tutti i filippini di qualsiasi generazione parlano inglese, è la loro seconda lingua, il che è già un bel vantaggio per vivere nella loro quotidianità e integrarsi. Difatti ci sono tantissimi “expat” di tutto il mondo che si trasferiscono lì proprio per questo. Non sarete soli!
I filippini poi sono fantastici, sempre pronti ad accogliere tutti con il sorriso e includere gli stranieri tra di loro e nelle loro famiglie!
Per quanto riguarda la sanità non ho molte informazioni in più, per fortuna non ne ho avuto bisogno durante la mia permanenza, ma spesso ho notato cliniche private con medici stranieri nei luoghi più turistici. Penso che una città grande come Cebu ne sia provvista.
Il bello di Cebu city è che ha una posizione ottima per raggiungere tante altre isole delle Filippine, per viaggiare nei fine settimana va alla grande! Le più vicine sono Bohol, Siquijor, Negros, Malapascua e Bantayan. Ma ci sono anche voli diretti per Palawan, Coron e Boracay che sono le più conosciute. L’aeroporto è internazionale, quindi è molto comodo per la connessione con l’Italia e anche per esplorare altri posti in Asia senza spendere una fortuna.
