Watching this movie right after i was heartbroken. And truly ive realized it's always better to leave where you're not appreciated rather than trying to fix things
So much lessons in one movie. A perfect example of the one who didn't want got it, and the one who wanted didn't get it. Ruth never disappoints. One thing I love so much about my father is he's ever so ready to return the schnapps alchoholic drinks paid on his daughterś head as a symbol of the union, if any of the husbands dare misbehave towards anyone of his girls. Those of you who are not from Ghana, both husband and wife, and their family understand and accept the marriage is over once the drinks are returned to the husband's family. He always says to us, "No one has ever won an award for enduring an abusive, horrible marriage, and that marriage does not give one a ticket to heaven, if a man doesn't treat you as good as I treat your mother, and CONSTANTLY abuse u in anyway, don't hesitate to leave. Just when you might have been thinking that you knew this man Toosweet in all of his wonderfulness as an actor, he up and transformed himself into this devastating gem of a man in this role. He got deeper in his mind and soul, taller in his stature, more earth-shaking in his handsome manliness. And I'm so loving every bit of it. It is easy to believe Ruth's character when she says, "Yes, i love you that much." That last scene, in its last moments, is earth-shattering.
Just look at the way Toosweet was happy when Ruth told him that she cooks yam and stew and he said he don’t remember when she eat in this house made cried, because his wife never cooked since they married and he even asked for more. Some people want they don’t get and some people get they don’t want it. This’s a very big lesson to the young ones who are coming and learn from it 😊❤❤
Gone are the days when our mothers say food is a way to a man’s heart. That’s why we have cooks, chef or caterers who have certificates in cooking. You can get their services anytime. Your husband wants food to eat right, all that is important is there is food on the table. Whatever food you want to eat can be prepared by those in that line of service. So much lessons in one movie. A perfect example of the one who didn't want got it, and the one who wanted didn't get it. Ruth never disappoints.

Those of you who are not from Ghana, both husband and wife, and their family understand and accept the marriage is over once the drinks are returned to the husband's family. He always says to us, "No one has ever won an award for enduring an abusive, horrible marriage, and that marriage does not give one a ticket to heaven, if a man doesn't treat you as good as I treat your mother, and CONSTANTLY abuse u in anyway, don't hesitate to leave. You should never let marriage send you to an early grave, bc he might not even wait one yr to marry another woman if he succeeds in killing you" And my pastor always says, "if a man slaps you during courtship, he will surely kill you in marriage."

It's important to speak up about abuse. If you can't get help from your close relations, seek help from friends, human rights organizations, or the police. One life lost is one too many. They could've add a few minutes where she said, "yes." or showing her giving him a HUG❗ Music was right for the movie, but need to let the background music play lower so we can hear what they say.
