This video also answers my unspoken questions about the transition from Fett stock into a more genetically diverse model by the time of the later instalments, nice!
Tim Marsh Happy you enjoyed it! It is a really interesting subject the idea of using clones of people to fight a war, especially considering when all sorts of technology such as droids are available... Thank for watching mate! =D
Seth Littleboy Its one of those huge ethical issues that i thought could of been emphasized on more in the media... the idea that the republic chose to use something living, something that could feel pain and have a personality, its always puzzled me... it also has the huge issue that are clones property and if so is what the republics doing slavery... so many questions... Thanks for watching, happy you enjoyed! =D
Seth Littleboy Yeah but you also got to remember that the clones came from a Mandalorian, meaning the majority of clones were badass biological killing machines, while also having an independent personality.
Cloning is easy. We just need a way to recreate the conditions of a womb in an artificial environment, a way to perfectly replicate sex cells, and a way to change DNA to make them age faster.
This should've remained in the Star Wars canon instead placed in the expanded universe. This was a very clear and though unfortunate, but amazing reason for why the Stormtroopers being as explained in 4:27 - 5:07 . This as well as the accelerated growth issue could've still work together if only the new people in control of Star Wars would see this great potential for the story of the Star Wars universe.
+Palmer Hicks But when I looked it up they said it was in the legends/expanded universe of the Star Wars due to it being owned and made under George Lucas?
***** No it's helpful, though even before Disney owned it I was having difficulty in trying to find things that were part of the story, canon, or were meant to help bring a more detailed understanding (which of those I still liked even we people were harshly attacking Lucas for many reasons were good, bad, or not even worth getting upset about for he was the creator of that universe so it was his final call on things and his choice to learn from mistakes or not) so I know if certain things such as Republic Commando, Star Wars Battlefront I and II, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Star Wars Clone Wars (2003), Jedi Starfighter games, star wars knights of the old republic I and II, Star Wars Republic Heroes, and much more long as they either fit within the events leading to what was meant to happen, to help others grasp a more knowledgeable view of the force and etc, and keep the imagination and feelings going with its really good stories, multiple words, tech, ideas, and races. There are some things that Disney has done that I don't approve so well like having the Geonosians and other interesting races like the Echani either become forgotten or wiped out and from how I saw what was considering canon before you showed me this (which will still take me a while to fully grasp it) was that it had almost completely erased everything in the past or related to the clone wars that didn't have Ahsoka (considering Ventress appeared in the 2003 version along with certain other things and even there comics before leaving them behind to included those things and more like explanations to certain things and other stories taking place) and were only looking into the future (despite the books already written and George Lucas's were all being ignored which is very wrong because he's technically the father and now has completely put this once Flash Gordan tribute behind him) while creating things as they go. Also they left out both Jango Fett's and General Grievous's backstories which really were my favorites and explained so much about them.
***** That removes every critical, beautiful, and informative game, show, comic, and book made that didn't conflict with the continuity and instead help paint a grand picture of the universe and it's lore. A very poor move on Disney's part for with out this knowledge of the past (by Lucas and in universe) the present (the movies 1 - 6 and shows The Clone Wars and Rebels) and future (Force Awakens and future projects) will not make as much sense or understanding the real depths into them.
Actually, 800-900 clones in the Kamino Rebellion escaped and created the Clone Resistance. They reactivated thousands of battle droids to help them. 3 Jedi Generals found them and commanded them. But one of the generals was killed by the 2 Inquisitors (seen in Star Wars Rebels), another one suffered major injuries following a battle with Vader, and the last grew to a old age and was finally killed by the hands of Kylo Ren. By this time, the clones had all died of old age and the droids had been locked in a Jedi Cruiser lost in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. Shortly after this story was made, Disney declared this not Canon.
This sounds a lot like Shays' Rebellion in American history when America was just starting out. Then, a farmer named Daniel Shays, a Revolution veteran, tried to lead a rebellion against the government under the Articles of Confederation but was later stamped out. The Kamino Rebellion is similar in how the Kaminoans were tired of how things were going in the Empire and rebelled, but were soon stamped out. I wonder if that was the inspiration for this?
Officially, there never was a 'Clone rebellion' on Kamino. Unofficially, approximately twenty years after we were created, a special detachment of the Imperial 501st Legion was dispatched to Kamino with orders to eradicate an army of clones that had been bred to take arms against the Empire. Our mission commander, an expert on the inner workings of Kamino, was a young bounty hunter named Boba Fett
Please do lore on the Mustafar Rebellion. I know you mentioned it in the video where you talked about what happened to the Separatists after the Clone Wars (those Battlefront 2 clips is why I subscribed, that clip in praticular) but that would be awesome! SEPARATISTS FOREVER!
A thought on the clones... I personally think the practicality of the clone army is overestimated in star wars lore. Surely if you have millions of worlds populated by many trillions of humans, it would be easier to simply find and train/brainwash viable recruits than it is to spend a decade to manufacture, raise, and train clone troopers. Not to mention the facilities necessary to support such a massive production would probably dwarf those necessary to simply train existing humans into obedient soldiers. Also, for all that effort, a clone soldier wears out twice as fast as a normal soldier due to increased rate of aging. Yes being raised from birth to fight is an advantage, but the rapidly expanding size of the Empire and its military probably left the clones as a small minority within a few years of its founding.
IllogicalAssertations These clones are also genetically superior to normal humans due genetic modification and have a less chance of defecting. Their practicality isn't underestimated but I have to agree that it would be easier to make an army from recruitment. It depends on what someone's preferred method is. The Empire unlike the Republic preferred quantity over quality.
no captain Rex was not i f you watched the video you would know there was a 2nd generation of clones different from the 1st generation which Rex was in and, honestly people like you who make a account of a fictional character on RUclips and make them say things that aren't true are very very very annoying and tend to make cool characters sound stupid
What if the Kaminoan clones had successfully driven the Empire from Kamino? Could they have bought themselves enough time to build a larger army to challenge the Empire?
or what if they secretly shipped them off planet to strategic points to eventually create a larger uprising, would have had the capability to overwhelm the empire. that being said it would be hard to accomplish not to mention needing transport and such to be snuck out as well.
it's a shame, lama tsu in clone wars tried helping sideous by hiding the Order 66 chip proof, then, she tried to stop it with more Clones and got killed trying to escape. Lama deserved that, but the other Kaminoans didn't.
You know what would be nice? A game or story based on this. You play as a specially trained squad of clone commandos and you figh- oh wait i could just play republic comando…
+GonzoDaSapian - The events covered in this video were first explored in a video game, Star Wars Battlefront II. Some of the screenshots used in the video are from that game. Go give it a spin, very good game, especially with mods! Can be found on Steam.
Why phase 1 armor when there was stormtrroper or phase 2 armor available? The stormtrooper armor would be really effective since they all look the same so the 501st couldn't tell who is who even if they took off their helmets like in that episode from the Clone Wars.
Why didn't the Kaminoins breed the loyalty into the storm trooper clones like Palpatine did with order 66 and just wait for the older models to get older and weaker/die out until the ranks were filled with clones pretending to serve the empire but loyal to Kamino. They would have been spread everywhere and been able to take control of entire fleets and bases. Apparently it wasn't too much to ask to breed a hidden command into the clones (once again I call attention to order 66). Were they just impatient or was there some logical reason? (Other than an excuse for them to lose)
I love battlefront 2, it and 1 were my two favorite games. I used to play on X-Box and the PS2. I dislike how 1 had great Maps, yet the good maps didn't make it into 2.
From what I heard the Kaminoens head about the Rebel Alliance and wanted freedom and decided to make the anti clone troopers to help the rebels in there cause so what if the Kaminoens contacted the Rebel Alliance for help of an evacuation before the attack on them. the Empire would still attack them but the rebels would help with the evacuation clones would still be lost but the DNA would be recovered and the Kaminoens with the rebels would escape with the clones they have left and some of the rebels allies would help with the cloning it would be slower then normal but think about clone troopers in the rebel alliance
Do you have any plans to do videos on Dark Jedi, both before and after Sidoues' empire? Also anything on Grey Jedi and Matukai would be awesome! Love the videos. Smashing through them
Probably the one species in all of Star Wars that Actually got what they deserved. When you think about it, the Kamino's were a race that specialized in breeding armies of slave soldiers and employed techniques such as genetic modification, brainwashing, free-will subversion (the bio-chip) and Who knows what else. Considering that the entire race was known as cloners and one OB one was touring there, quite extensive facilities, it's a safe bet that their entire economy was geared towards creating clone slaves. I want to question however, if Boba Felt was an unaltered clone of Jango Fett (in anyway if I recall) then why did the empire need to retrieve the original genetic sample? Couldn't they have gotten it from Boba?
what if the clone rebel army joined the rebellion instead of fighting the Empire by themselves, I think that it would be a good idea, if the clone rebel army joined the rebellion
This doesn't quite make as much sense. It makes it sound as if the New clones we're easily dealt with by the 501st. The new clones outnumbered the 501st, and received better more intense training than any other previous clone. The 501st we're veterans sure.... but the battle should have been far more bloody for both sides. This is close-combat inner city fighting! Like Stalingrad from World War 2.
Evan After The Rebellion Destroyed The Galactic Empire And The Galaxy Learned That The Creation of The Clone Troopers Were Being Used to Destroy The Empire And Did Not Enslave The Galaxy, There Still Would an Uprising of Fear of The Rebellion And Luke Skywalker Was Fighting to Rule The Galaxy And That is True And is No Lie.
ridicolous, the clones should have been still in service as they don't age 10x times, they just age the double of a normal human, so at 32 BBY-12 BBY (Kamino Uprising) the CW veterans were 40 in age, when you're physically 40 you can still serve especially if constantly training and being born with superior strength and reflexes like Jango. Until 19 BBY Kaminoans gave faithfully their clones so let's assume production continued until 19 BBY so the clones should have been in the army until 9 ABY. that's why the TCW show explanation is BS
my opinion is, that Disney did a VERY BIG MISTAKE to say that this, for example, isn't Cannon any more. i just hate Disney now sry. they can't come and say:" Nope! all the books, facts and all the other crap isn't Cannon any longer because... Tree." in the Rogue one Trailer they even ignore the prequels. Disney, i was a star wars Fan since I was 4 years old and now... i hate the new Star Wars but still loving the good old Star Wars
if This Uprising Would've Happened With The Destruction of The Galactic Empire, The Entire Galaxy Would've Thought That The Rebellion Was a Lie And Luke Skywalker Was Fighting to Rule The Galaxy With Fear & Chaos Throughout The Galaxy, They Would Think That The Darkside Could Never Be Defeated And The Sith Would Always Rise to Reclaim It's Power Through The Galaxy Also The Rebellion Would Be Know as Traitor's And Luke Skywalker With His Friends Would be Known as Traitor's to The Galaxy. Also What Happened With The Clone Wars With The Galaxy Realizing That The Whole War Was a Lie, They Would Also Believe That Was Happening Again in The Original Trilogy And The Galaxy Would Also Learn That Plot Was Not True And The Republic And Luke Skywalker Was Not Fighting to Rule The Galaxy. This Would Also Bring Fear to The Emperor Himself as Well Into Thinking That Darth Vader Was Using This Plot to Overthrow Him And Take Over The Galaxy For Himself. Also if The Emperor Himself Was Actually Smart Enough to Think Like He Did Before When He Used The Clone Wars to End The Jedi, He Could've Had Rebel Spies to Have Inhibitor Chips Into The Rebels Clone Troopers, So When The Battle of Endor Happened All The Clones Had Turned on The Rebellion And The Galaxy Would Also Live to Learn That Emperor Palpatine Could Never be Destroyed And Could Always Come up With a Plan to Win, Whenever Something Got in His Way, Evan Though Palpatine Knew That He Was Using The Clones to Defeat The Rebellion, He Still Would Think That Darth Vader Was Using This Plot to Overthrow Him.
Justin Duncan What? That made zero sense. The uprising only happened because of the Empire. If the Empire were gone then the Kaminoans would have had no reason to rebel. How could Palpatine implant inhibitor chips into the Rebel clone troopers when the batches would have been under heavy guard and the Rebellion would most likely have learned the reason the clones turned on the Jedi were because of the inhibitor chips? Why would Palpatine think Darth Vader was trying to overthrow him when he was still hunting down Jedi?
+Suid Afrikaaner The empire is more concerned about pumping out huge numbers to intimidate, with a super weapon here and there. But your proposition is a very good one.
+Suid Afrikaaner Darth Sidious tried to conquer more and more of the known galaxy. Which resulted in humongous losses. The only ones who were trained enough and well equiped to do the job were the clones. Regular Storm Troopers kind of sucked in comparison. They were neither as well-equiped, nor as well-trained. But the Empire lacked the money needed to order more and more clones. The economy was just not that good.. and after the Clone Wars even less resources were available... So even if they were to train them... I don't think they would've been that good. Much better than the Imperial trained Stormies.. but still not good enough.
Yuki Terumi the kamino's are the reason that the chancellor came to power they were greedy and wanted money and knew about the inhibitor chip but still never informed the Jedi but of course just like the separatists when the empire came to power they were mostly executed betrayed in their greediness and a new era of pain and darkness arose
canon is the history who is lineal or official to the main saga, disney declared that nothing but the movies are canon wich basiclly means that any book, game or novel it never happened before, between and after the main saga or movies.
+Adam Garza Everything has been discarded except the movies and the show that was on Cartoon Network according to Disney I believe. Everything else is being called "Legends"
+Zavien Tey So? It was still fun and exciting to watch. Having a unique and original plot is borderline impossible nowadays given that pretty much everything has been done in Hollywood.
+Zavien Tey Dude, they're literally just one movie in. They're gonna make more. Give it time. A New Hope in my opinion (again, my opinion) was pretty lacking however things were explained more and made up for more with Empire Strikes Back. I feel like Force Awakens was just the same exact thing. It was more of a setup movie to introduce the new characters and explain the setting. Then they're gonna get more into the plot and action with the next few films.
boba fett killing clones would be like facing a thousand of your dads
lmao that's true
Correct
Well he did it in the force unleashed comics
you know that Boba looks exactly like Jango himself?
BountyFlamor Yes because he's a clone
Do you know what pisses me off? This is no longer cannon!
It's not? Wow
+hothmandon Your preaching to the choir there mate. ;D
Jar Jar Binks is still canon though, so everything is ok.
+Notscott LOOOL ikr. After reading about all the cool shit thats no longer canon. it sucks to know jar jar still is xD (unless he is sith lord, i doubt though)
+Lore Guy Why isent it canon?
"we never got used to the new ones..." unknown clone trooper
+Smoke His voice is the dude that played Jango Fett
***** I always thought that too XD
+Carmine Guzzo they're all played by the same actor... they're clones...
Wolfie Rawrheart Not the ones your hear in battlefront 2' s battles
+Carmine Guzzo They technically all are but I'm guessing Temuera Morrison probably couldn't be arsed doing lines for every clone
No wonder the Stormtrooper aim deteriorated. The Fett clones shrunk in number.
SO true!
Exactly. All the Clone Veterans died off. The new troopers training and moral wasn't better.
Eugene Wu Actually. I changed my mind about this. Watch Fact Free 's video about Stormtroopers helmets.
Actually the 501st remained to be Fett clones, all former CW officers (Cody) were transferred to the 501st because of their high dislike of the new clones

I love hearing about the Kaminoans, I always struggle to wrap my head around how their cloning technology fits in with the other technology of the Star Wars universe. It always seems to oscillate between being over-powered, and being prohibitively difficult/expensive.
This video also answers my unspoken questions about the transition from Fett stock into a more genetically diverse model by the time of the later instalments, nice!

Agreed
Agreed
+None of your fucking business we will produce our own clones to rebel!
Well you don't own Star Wars so it's not cannon
Garry Murdoch So. You can't just toss away anything that was cannon but now isnt. Disney's fucked it up
After the Emperor stopped using clones his army became a bunch of ass hats
Weehoo 2 and that's why they lost the war to ewoks lol
should've slipped them into imperial ranks and slowly built up numbers till the time was right
Yup

+Teh Coldice Cheeky clone army mention in the Force Awakens.

+SniperRifleX Wait nvm I just remembered lol

can you do the Zillo beast pls i am quite puzzled by it since the battle for malstre

love the star wars battlefront II opening

they actually escaped in a LAAT

this is exactly from the game star wars battlefront 2
you will never find a book or comic on this

Where did you get this form?
:[ sad
I swear half of this came from the battlefront II cutscenes
PSYCH. NO LONGER CANNON.
Who were the other genetic samples used by the Empire?
aftear jango died they used dna from other mandalorian bounty hunters
This doesn't quite make as much sense. It makes it sound as if the New clones we're easily dealt with by the 501st. The new clones outnumbered the 501st, and received better more intense training than any other previous clone. The 501st we're veterans sure.... but the battle should have been far more bloody for both sides. This is close-combat inner city fighting! Like Stalingrad from World War 2.
TheBigExclusive I guess that was the new clone troops first actually battle 😂 the 501st put the smack down for sure on them
Evan After The Rebellion Destroyed The Galactic Empire
And The Galaxy Learned That The Creation of The Clone Troopers Were Being Used to Destroy The Empire And Did Not Enslave The Galaxy, There Still Would an Uprising of Fear of The Rebellion And Luke Skywalker Was Fighting to Rule The Galaxy And That is True And is No Lie.
Good vid but it's not kam-ee-no-ans it is kam-uh-no-uns
Seems ironic.
wouldn't there be lots of clone troopers by then also? seeing how much they made during the clone wars
Th3Sabator45 They got to old to fight since they grow a lot faster than normal.
but they had some that were basically fetuses
ridicolous, the clones should have been still in service as they don't age 10x times, they just age the double of a normal human, so at 32 BBY-12 BBY (Kamino Uprising) the CW veterans were 40 in age, when you're physically 40 you can still serve especially if constantly training and being born with superior strength and reflexes like Jango.
Until 19 BBY Kaminoans gave faithfully their clones so let's assume production continued until 19 BBY
so the clones should have been in the army until 9 ABY.
that's why the TCW show explanation is BS
I really hate that this no longer canon
what if the clones were to return in the next star wars movie
dead unless the First Order has to do this since they lost there entire army
my opinion is, that Disney did a VERY BIG MISTAKE to say that this, for example, isn't Cannon any more. i just hate Disney now sry. they can't come and say:" Nope! all the books, facts and all the other crap isn't Cannon any longer because... Tree." in the Rogue one Trailer they even ignore the prequels. Disney, i was a star wars Fan since I was 4 years old and now... i hate the new Star Wars but still loving the good old Star Wars
Do the Kaminons fight themselves?
if This Uprising Would've Happened With The Destruction of The Galactic Empire, The Entire Galaxy Would've Thought That The Rebellion Was a Lie And Luke Skywalker Was Fighting to Rule The Galaxy With Fear & Chaos Throughout The Galaxy, They Would Think That The Darkside Could Never Be Defeated And The Sith Would Always Rise to Reclaim It's Power Through The Galaxy Also The Rebellion Would Be Know as Traitor's And Luke Skywalker With His Friends Would be Known as Traitor's to The Galaxy.
Also if The Emperor Himself Was Actually Smart Enough to Think Like He Did Before When He Used The Clone Wars to End The Jedi,
He Could've Had Rebel Spies to Have Inhibitor Chips Into The Rebels Clone Troopers,
So When The Battle of Endor Happened All The Clones Had Turned on The Rebellion And The Galaxy Would Also Live to Learn That Emperor Palpatine Could Never be Destroyed And Could Always Come up With a Plan to Win, Whenever Something Got in His Way, Evan Though Palpatine Knew That He Was Using The Clones to Defeat The Rebellion,
He Still Would Think That Darth Vader Was Using This Plot to Overthrow Him.
Justin Duncan
What? That made zero sense. The uprising only happened because of the Empire. If the Empire were gone then the Kaminoans would have had no reason to rebel. How could Palpatine implant inhibitor chips into the Rebel clone troopers when the batches would have been under heavy guard and the Rebellion would most likely have learned the reason the clones turned on the Jedi were because of the inhibitor chips? Why would Palpatine think Darth Vader was trying to overthrow him when he was still hunting down Jedi?
IMO id use kamino as a special planet training epic troops instead of chinese mass produced shit while recruiting normal troops from the Galaxy
In fact they did until the TCW retcon the empire used clone troopers as main force but only the 501st were Jango clones that had veterans from the CW.
Did Boba Fett suffer any mental problems after this, since he was hired to kill multiple versions of his dad?
Make new Skyrim vids please
Maybe the Kaminoans should have grown joined the rebel Alliance.
Yuki Terumi the kamino's are the reason that the chancellor came to power they were greedy and wanted money and knew about the inhibitor chip but still never informed the Jedi but of course just like the separatists when the empire came to power they were mostly executed betrayed in their greediness and a new era of pain and darkness arose
the empire is evil
The rebellion is evil
wanna buy some deathsticks?
Im 53005
So who won?
***** GG
But Camino was already a police state
I hate the empire

+PureGoldPlayer Star wars battle front 2
+collin ohlinger thanks!!!

It not canon when did they change that
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK CANON IS?
canon is the history who is lineal or official to the main saga, disney declared that nothing but the movies are canon wich basiclly means that any book, game or novel it never happened before, between and after the main saga or movies.
Thanks
+Atiendo Boludos Also the two tv shows and a couple of games are canon.
Fuck the shows
Atiendo Boludos fuck you
bobba fett xD sorry
Boba*
FinalForkXII I know, it just sounded like he said bobba
Annoying voice of the year ?
WHAT

CANON
+Adam Garza Everything has been discarded except the movies and the show that was on Cartoon Network according to Disney I believe. Everything else is being called "Legends"
+Zexion98 and the marvel star wars comic
Disney ruined star wars
the new movie was great
+Orange Juice W/ No Pulp it was and i enjoyed it, but i like the clone wars better and disney kinda killed it off
+Michael Dove Me too.
What a pointless video. You may as well have just showed us the Kamino level of the Battlefront 2 campaign.
Karl Hiramanek it's explaining it not playing a game
