My spinach bolted almost as soon as it sprouted. My iceberg lettuce looks like ferns and never formed a head. The zucchini plants are *huge* and look/looked really healthy, and then suddenly the flowers started falling off. But you've set my mind at rest - maybe there is still hope! First year gardening woes. haha

1st time zucchini grower. Can someone confirm that the male blooms just once and never again? I had the 1st male bloom on Wed & another on Thursday but i noticed the Wed one never bloomed again. Today is Friday and the Thursday one didn't bloom today. Also, seems they bloom in the mornings only and then close up after that. The problem is timing. While these 2 males bloomed, all the females were very very small. Sheesh! How do they survive like that! lol
The males often do die out fast. But, I also notice that they are open more in early morning hours. They close up later and then open again in the morning.
IAM_BlkBarbie I know, right? We learn as we go. You also have to have pollinating insects for them to grow zucchini. I tried a patio garden in an apt once and realized I had to pollinate them myself because the complex sprayed so much pesticide.
Fiddle Sticks i had the same problem but when i got a male flower i just hand pollinated the female. Some did not make it put its ok ad zucchinis are very prolific
I would check for bugs. Look for eggs under the leaves or look inside the flowers for bugs and pick them out. Of course, it's too late for you now, but may help someone else. I've been out of touch.

Why are my zucchini flowers not opening. I saw one of my plants open up but the other stay closed and twisted
They open early in the morning. Then, they close up later. So, check in early morning. You may just be missing them.

My problem was that I had all females. 😂 was darn near ready to pay for a male 😂😂😂
My female zuccini is not only falling the flower but the little zucchinis i wonder why

I'm having the same problem with my zucchini, all females (end of fruit) no males.
I have female flowers but they black out and die before they even open
sahlool mine too! I'm trying to find out why the flower on my females won't open they just die. ?
They usually open in the cool morning, they close with the heat.
