I guess you would be surprised then to learn that here, in these parts of Idaho, the temperatures will also climb up to about 36 degrees during the summer. Thanks for watching. Acho que você ficaria surpreso ao saber que aqui, nessas partes de Idaho, as temperaturas também sobem cerca de 36 graus durante o verão. Obrigado por assistir.
Wow, I gotta watch this ride again. I see why it may be an all time favorite stretch for you! It meets all my criteria too. Quiet, nice big sweeper, river chasing alongside, rolling hills, mountains in the distance, farm/ranch properties, the pavement looked perfect, sleepy little towns, little traffic. No matter what the actual temperature was, the video makes it appear it was a PERFECT day to ride. It checks all the boxes for sure. Not to mention, seems I’ve missed getting thru Ketchum on my Rides, but looks like a clean, mountain town with an old west feel. It’s fun to reflect on all our rides, and pick out our Top 5, Top 10 Favorite Stretches All Time, and the reason or stories behind each favorite stretch......Hmm.... maybe an epic video idea for you, considering all the rides you’ve enjoyed! 😁
I have rode a lot of great highways in the west and there are many worthy ones that could be chosen as an all time favourite. I have rode this route twice, and each time, as you said, it checked all the boxes. It is definitely a top five ride for me in a list that is really hard to pick a number 1. The next few weeks I will continue the journey northward, and I think I will make a believer out of you, this is THE route that you absolutely must experience. As for a top ride video, hmmmm, not a bad idea, thank you!
I think so! Top 5 Video, Top 10.... I do love that Clearwater River Scenic Byway from Lewiston, ID thru Lolo Pass towards Missoula. Visit that stretch in May around Memorial Weekend, with all the kayakers, the BBQ & tailgaters to watch, the early season mountain runoff.... I’ve never seen a river so wild, whitecaps, and those watching the best kayakers rip down Class 5-6 rapids; it’s quite a scene! River still stunning, but looks dramatically different in July.... nonetheless, what a beautiful stretch to ride
I didn't do Lolo Pass that early, it sounds pretty spectacular then. I did it in August and found it to be very peaceful, relaxing, maybe not a top 5 ride, but it would be in the running.

I used to live in Ketchum, and drove this that winter. Looks totally different in summer.
I bet it does look totally different! Personally I prefer the summer views.
What a beautiful road, the landscapes are beautiful, thank you for the ride
And as always Marco, thank you for joining me for the ride. Happy to hear that you enjoyed it!

Another great ride, I can’t wait for the weather to break so I can do some of my own rides! Thanks for sharing!👍
Thanks for coming along on another ride. Glad you liked it.
Yes, I too am awaiting much better weather, riding still seems a long way off.

Nice road and nice ride.
Hello Jim, the Sawtooths, and further north the Salmon River offer a great bike highway!
