Very great adaptation so far, hopefully the quality improves even more for the final two chapters! What did you all think about the second season? (btw apparently in JP there's a survey going around about maybe animating a side story, Darknights Memoir could get animated???)
Looks better than previous season but fights are still mostly bad. Its basically fanservice anime + the important part -> story animated I wouldn't say that final chapters looked better, Frostnova pursuit in one of the first chapters looked great as well. Basically they went hard with making that frosty atmosphere. Fights being bad might have something to do with Amiya "no kill" policy (even though she at least once attacked some guy on 5 story building and he fell... though it was ground that might have killed him, not Amiya), it might be hard to direct fights with chainsaw when you want enemies to survive them (also Frostnowa blocking running chainsaw with knives... yeah that chainsaw physics kind of got nerfed for easier fight direction). Well whatever, we have good fights in game (even though less cinematic), we can forgive that part in anime as everything else is good.

However, if you are somewhat interested in both the game and the story, I highly recommend reading the story first from the game and then watching the anime for fun to see all of the scenes animated. There's also so much more story in the actual game that won't be animated, so if you're interested in any other characters there may be a story out there about them!

Exactly what was missing. The ost is everything. Imagine the Talulah encounter in season 3 but witouth Towerfierce. It will be just a date with talulah lol

Interested in watching the anime but never played the game, am I missing much if I just watch the anime?

It would make sense to animate darknight memoir for just 2-3 episodes before season 3
Man, this is what was missing during her death. The music is one of the reasons why her death was very memorable in the game
