Can someone explain why Theo is being so emotional when Ely appeared? I have watched the entire episode on Youku and it seems like they have a misunderstanding. Even the other judges refuse to say something because of the atmosphere. I checked online (all English websites) and can't find any possible reason, maybe some Chinese speaking websites knows more about it?
That's because Ely ( best known as Li Quanzhe) and Theo ( Zhu Zhengting )were a part of a boygroup under Yuehua named NEXT in which Theo is their leader. I believe the reason why Theo got really emotional because of the situation they're currently in. Like he's a mentor meanwhile his group member is a contestant. I believe he felt sorry for his teammate as the leader of the group they were in before seeing him there competing yet again
@@hiraeanalis4230 That is what I initially understood. But it feels like the have a falling out, because even Ely refused to say anything back after Theo said some encouraging words. Not even a thank you, just a forced smile. But maybe that’s just me. Maybe I misunderstood their body language that is why I was asking.
@@redchen3682 I don't think there was a falling out tbh. There are several possible reasons for him not saying anything. Maybe he felt choked up and didn't want to cry on stage or sth similar, maybe he wants to sth in private, maybe he wants to prove himself first... I understand that his refusal to say sth to ZZT makes it look like they aren't on good terms but from what I've read it's not like that. They apparently met up a couple days/weeks before filming started with all the other members at ZZT's house which is where they found out that they would be on the same show. Apparently LQZ also mentioned in a live that finding out somehow relieved him. So a falling out really doesn't seem like the cause of his silence, at least not to me

Actually I didn't search for this program and RUclips just recommended this video so I'm not sure if it's another idol making program and located in Hong Kong or not. If it's, then Eric Tsang will be playing the role as HK's representative and MC here. The Korean and 2 other Chinese judges already experts in dances and idol groups, you don't expect all judges should be just professional dancers, do you? This is not a dance competition. And I notice this show seems doesn't has a separate MC that leading the program flow like other idol programs. 😅 I'm not sure how dry the atmosphere will be without a host/MC.
