I used to hate machado because of his attitude, but the dude has matured into a legit veteran leader, and still one of the best players in baseball. It’s a pleasure to watch him play these days, and has been that way for years. Machado is a perfect example of seeing someone grow up in front of you
@@aye_Denohh he still refuses to hustle lol. Complains all the time at the plate even when it’s a strike. Also I like manny he’s a great player, but acting like he’s a role model perfect vet leader is laughable.
Yeah right he got called out on the pitch clock the other day then cried about it like a baby and got himself thrown out of the game. All in the first inning.
All I can say is Manny is an awesome guy. He has matured so much and has become an amazing leader. I know my team, the Braves, just got pummeled by the Padres but this content with Manny is what baseball needs more of. Humanizing these players and seeing how humble and kind the special ones are is amazing to see as a fan. It even made me a big fan of Manny.
Ratio take: I enjoyed this, and I agree that MLB needs to do this more, but I'm not sure if "humble" or "mature" is a word I'd use to describe Manny. His history is LONG and still has his moments (6 days ago, granted it was minor, but w/ his history not surprised he got tossed). Supremely talented player though.
@@mr.castle Wow, glad you're willing to conversate and not resort to childish retorts. Maybe you can argue that it's not COMPELTELY his fault, but yes he deserves a big part of the blame. And yes, getting ejected in that context DOES have to do w/ being mature, which he still clearly is not.
@@rokon4Heyseus You're so off, you don't even make sense. LOOK UP the definition of maturity, by your f00lish logic if Dusty Baker gets ejected he's not mature or let's say any other player or manager for that sake. Of course you probably dislike the guy so you won't care about it anyway. Dvmbars3
I hope MLB does more of this. It’s such an intimate experience that isn’t even possible in most sports. I don’t like Manny and I don’t like the Padres, but I enjoyed every second of this.

I thought maybe Manny would call one of them a dbag and not accept responsibility for not knowing the rules and screwing up, blaming it on someone else.
As a former player, I would never do these interviews during a game. This has got to be the biggest nuisance while playing. And those questions were the dumbest I've ever heard. Leave the damn players alone while they’re doing their jobs. It’s so invasive. All-Star Game? Fine, if you’re so desperate to save dwindling ASG ratings. But, games that count? That’s running the risk of directly manipulating the outcomes of games.
@@Tonyconstanza Manny Machado has committed 128 errors in his career. I’d say something will get past him. He’s not immune to screwing up. He’s a great ball player, but it’s delusional to think he’ll never ever screw up again.
