My oral surgeon was surprised I knew the different brands of implants. It’s because I did my research. He said he would use Nobel. ❤

Paying too much also is a risk when the procedure is not well done .

Hi Dr. Brett! I recently stumbled across your channel and not sure if this comment will go unnoticed but...figured it was worth a shot!
I am 23 and in relatively good health (physical) but my oral hygiene is quite the opposite. Since I was a teenager I've struggled greatly with hygiene + my parents could never afford to take me to the dentist. Now I am paying the price and am looking at reconstructing my entire mouth...I still don't know what the best option is honestly but the only thing that has been feasible for me is going to Mexico. I have been doing lots of dillegent research but still struggling to pin down a dentist I trust and like.
Before I even plan on going or getting in talks with a clinic, I thought it'd be a good idea to get a treatment plan and xray down here to get a reference of "where I am at", so to speak. I have considered all of the uncertainties and have accepted the fact I'd likely have to go back for most complications and adjustments etc.
Do you have any thoughts on this or best recommendations? Whenever I have brought this up on forums or online it seems like the main point to my ask are things I am already aware of; which is the uncertainty. I guess I was just wondering, from a dentist, what you would be looking out for and what questions would you be asking? The whole thing really sucks but I figure I have to make the best of it and navigate best I can.
Thanks in advance! Great channel btw!

Unless you deal with not being able to have the dental work done you need. No one can understand it effects every aspect of your life. It makes you not want to be here every day of your life and makes you hate yourself and everything about you.

Turkey has some amazing Dental hospital, advanced modern techniques and highly skilled doctors. Plus, right now, Western patients have the added advantage that Turkey is experiencing hyperinflation; thus, Turks are craving dollars. My friend's uncle got like 12, or 15 implants (top row) for $7,000; they booked the flight, hotel, everything. He had his done in 2012, hasn't had a single problem. Due to stomach wrenching Turkish inflation, the prices, if you have dollars or euros hasn't changed much in 10 years.
My Dentist is Greek, which borders Turkey, he refers his patients, who are in serious need of implant, to Turkey.

it does all those things. I haven't smiled comfortably in about 25 years. So I decided to finally address my teeth problems. My husband his disabled and I work very part-time as Nanny. One night when I couldn't sleep. I Googled low income dental care. The town that I lived in. Found low income dental clinic. The cost of my treatment is based on income. They don't do dentures they do pulling. Fillings and cleanings. Looking at are small budget. I went online looked at dentures. The ones online were between $370-$400. I didn't have enough for that. Shocking as it may seem. I didn't get depressed. I started looking on RUclips. There was lady who couldn't afford dentures. She took one of those Instant Smile Comfort Flex veneers. Some fitting beads made denture. So I went on Amazon ordered top and bottom set. For $40 I can smile again. Well ones the rest of my teeth are pulled. No this denture I can't eat in and my husband had all his pulled too. So I Googled stuff for us to eat. That we could do without teeth. I don't want my husband to lose any weight. This is what you have to do if you have very little money. You take the budget you have. Find something that fits that budget. Then enjoy the the benefits of those resources. Looking at things to replace teeth that you can't afford. Brings lots of sadness and no joy. It also doesn't solve your problem. I just gave you everything you needed to be able to smile again. The rest is up to you.

I understand finally after not being able to afford to save my teeth. I had them pulled at low income dental clinic in February. Eventually I will get dentures. Just not as soon as I would like. I had been avoiding family and friends. This past weekend I started to spend time with my family. Yes it is embarrassing having no teeth. But withdrawing from people who love and support you. Will make you feel more lonely and unhappy. I found something to wear on the top. The bottom well you can tell. I have no teeth. But it still is not too bad. You and everyone on here can do this. Things will get better.

Hello Dr. Brett, I want to express my gratitude for your guidance. In 2019, I underwent a dental implant procedure in Seattle, WA, where I chose one of the top dental implant specialists. I entrusted him with four dental implants and paid a total of $23,900, including the discount offered for my chosen payment method.
However, I've experienced a significant loss of bone and gum tissue, particularly in the areas of tooth numbers 9 and 10. The specialist made three attempts to address the issue, but I declined further attempts due to concerns worsen to the point that no only losing all my teeth but my health and the potential risks involved. It has now been a year and a half since the last operation, and I am dealing with a loose and unsightly implant.
I would greatly appreciate your advice on how to proceed in this situation .

If anybody says "implants are as cheap as dentures" run away and run away fast. This isn't cheap, I've spent $61,000 so far, and got $19,000 left to go.
    Be prepared to spend $70 - $80,000

Why don't you RUclips dentists tell us how to find a trusted dentist? That's the only thing I want to know because i have been screwed by every dentist I've ever seen. So i always end up going to another one hoping they won't completely rape me.
