Synopsis:
The year is 1173. England and France are at war. The destiny of the two great powers has never been so intertwined. Richard was not Henry's favorite.....he was Eleanor's favorite. Henry's favorite was John Lackland. And Louis did not change sides, He just backed off when he saw the Princes would not win that first fight against their father. They only won against Henry when he was old and sick. Doesn't say much about their abilities does it.

Initially I saw the thumbnail and thought, did "Ryse: Son of Rome" get a film adaptation? Then I quickly realized, no, it's just another hack ripping off an existing IP for a quick and dirty thumbnail.

No one is going to mention the fact that a guy with dark hair is playing Richard? He had red hair. That's like making Thor a blond, who was also supposed to be a red head.

Actually I thought it was quite good, thank you.
I can forgive a B or C grade movie if the story and characters were compelling.... BUT sadly the director and the lazy script writers are not the greatest or they were smoking something weird. The actors were ok, no-one really stood out and it was obvious some were there for a pay check. Kudos goes to the production team for working with a limited budget.

Just saying but I am really interested in Richard the lionheart of England because I was reading about the revolt of 1173-1174 and during that revolt the Scottish king William the lion was captured by king Henry the second of England and king Henry made king William pay a lot of money in exchange for William being released and when Richard the lionheart was preparing for the third crusade he needed money that the scots had to pay for the amount would have been €26,000 and Richard agreed to terminate the Scott’s payment of 40,000 Scottish marks in return for 10,000 silver marks which is equal to €6,500

Don't understand the derision spouted by other commentators here. I actually enjoyed watching it, as much as The Lion in Winter. As for historical accuracy, what move has even been true to the history? The fight scenes look to have been choreographed out of "The Medieval Fight Book", so pretty accurate I reckon, the events are accurate, but ofc the dialogue is made up (out of necessity rather than poetic license).
Yeah, that was some of the best medieval fight choreography I've ever seen.

So much trouble was taken with this, the scenery, the costumes, props and extras like a big movie. Could just as well have done it properly with real actors and qualified screenwriters. Now it is like a big budget by accident scored by an amateur school project, and squandered on wikipedia articles pasted together, scrambled randomly and translated by teenage mutant ninja turtles to 21st century Engalorian for kids. No amount of pornography could elevate this to box office success.

Events are accurate. Eleanor of Aquitaine did instigate her sons to rise rebellion against Henry. However, the actual settings were totally different from the movie. Alice was promised a bride to young Richard. King Henry lured the girl into the castle, raped her and made her his concubine. Three brothers summoned an army of French barons from Aquitaine, who relied on their retinues of knights, totalling some 2000 men. King Henry hired around 20 000 German Brabanson mercenaries and with this horde descended upon his sons. Half of the barons fled immediately, hiding in their castles. Henry swiped the rebels easily, captured his children and pardoned the naughty boys. After that his army of Brabanson mercenaries sacked rebel castles one after another. Owners were killed and hung on the gates of burned strongholds, their women were thrown to the mercenaries. Aquitaine drowned in fire and blood. Eleanor was locked in a castle for 16 years until Henry's death in 1189...
