Hi Rahul, I am Darshvinder and also a foreign-trained dentist from India! Thanks for making such amazing videos. They are very helpful. I am currently in the process of giving all the exams in order to apply for dental school here in the United States. I see the term 'DMD Advanced Standing Program" a lot whenever I try to shortlist my schools. I fail to understand how this (DMD Advanced Standing Program) is different from the actual DMS/DDS degree. I was a bit confused if what Advanced standing programs are meant for foreign-trained dentists only which is equivalent to the DDS or they are different programs from than DDS. I will really appreciate your reply. I hope you will take out some time to answer this question. Once, again thanks for all your help through RUclips.
Amalgam is not banned yet. It maybe banned in few countries. At the same time, amalgam preparation is technique sensitive, so they use it to check your hand skills.
Brother , so how could we get visa for america to enter for DDS ..? I had heard that many gets rejected . So what shall i do..should i apply for mph and then go for DDS?..
Most preceptorship programs give you F1 visa. You need to be enrolled for at least 9 months in order to qualify for OPT. Also, I recommend you to double check with schools and gather all the relevant information before applying. Good luck!
You will be competing with some of the best students/dentist in the world. Start practicing early and you can do a bench preparation course to improve your skillset.
if gpa in bds is below three then geting good score in afk what else do we need like hving a good post graduation vl help in admission research publication will help what do u say

Dont worry about DMD or DDS. Just few fancy schools decided on going with DMD degree. DDS = DMD. Both the degree are same.
@@rahulnagda3113 thanks a lot👍🏻

@@kareenrana6254 You have to apply for F1 student visa once you are accepted in a program. Your chances of approval doesn't depend on MPH or DDS.

Is 3.5 GPA good for advance standing program to get acceptance for foreign trained dentist?
Absolutely!! For acceptance - your overall profile matters. Acceptance is not based on 1 particular parameter.
