This is such a beautiful message. Prayer is so beautiful. It calms me completely down, but I agree that praying as a couple is showing the greatest amount of love, care, and concern for your spouse or for each other. It's so necessary. Couples need to unlock the power of God and prayer in their lives. ❤ Thank you.
The "with thanksgiving" in Philippians 4:6-7 is my favorite part of the scripture. It's easy to skip over that part and some translations leave it out altogether. I listened to a neurologist give a lecture once and he said it's proven that there are over 1,200 chemical reactions in our brains when we're in a state of gratitude. He said gratitude is the safest and most effective antianxiety/ antidepressant in existence. I don't know if the neurologist was a Christian or not, but I thought of his study and lecture next time I read this verse.
I've been listening to and learning from "Marriage Today" for over 5 years, now. I love Dave and Ashley Willis and I especially love Pastor Jimmy Evans, his sermons have changed my life and my marriage:

God does hear our prayers as individuals as well. Pray consistently and intentionally for your spouse and God will work wonders in your heart and in theirs. "Pray without ceasing" 1 Thes 5:17
Not for me....Not marry...no partner...no serious relationship even after years and years of prayer!! My only prayer now....have good caring friends who will stay close!!

What happen if your spouse don't want to go church with or pray with and looks like you also drag them to have relationships with God.
