- Watch as Alton Haveri reports for the Scope on the latest developments from Pirate Insurgency zones, where the Guristas Pirates ambushed a task force including heavily modified Mordu’s Legion Bowhead freighters. With one of the freighters crash-landing on the planet of Hevrice III, it is rumored that the Deathless Circle have deployed experimental “Vanguard” clone troops to the planet to retrieve equipment valuable to their interests.

Neat. Kinda miss the old Scope audio cue when the title would pop up, but I'm liking the new design.
Love the explanation for the crashed freighter in Vanguard ops, too. Looking forwards to trying it out!
I like the new design of the intro and ticker, but miss the old audio cue. They could have done a slow phase out.
This music was looping like the 5 same notes every second for 2 mins straight, I think the new design is great but really gotta work on the music.
We're such futuristic boomers,lol. Yea,the classic is memorable but I personaly like the sick slick new look myself too.

That means you'll get whooped by anyone paying. Literally WHOOPED.
If your ship gets bugged with video evidence, the staff will literally blame you and say their game is flawless.
In the future I would love to see The Scope videos like this appear in the actual Vanguard game itself to update players on the context of the current battleground. They might not all be this specific, but even generic ones like the recent Starship Troopers FPS does are a nice touch that gives missions a little extra context.
Enjoying Vanguard so far, and this piece of lore adds to it. Was just fighting in that same Bowhead wreck.

Vanguard is very fun. My mates and I has already been in some tight situations but have come through and extracted! 600k and climbing, just wish we could spend it on guns and armor xD

that's a interesting new scope sign not too shabby.
Just played a few rounds of vanguard, honestly, it's good, interface is spot on, gunplay is really good, the world and sound design are wonderful and the graphics are awesome. There are a few bugs here and there but it's a lot better than I expected for a game in alpha
I am looking forward to see eve vanguard's evolution.

the optimisation of Vanguard is unbelivably good: averaging 100FPS with a 4080, everything on ultra. (frame gen but no upscaling)

Okay, i played a little over an hour of vanguard, and HOLY is it fun, genuinely really good feeling game so far, sounds are awesome, graphics feel very EVE like, and it's fought at a good pace. Really think this has decent potential. Good job CCP!

Prefer the old logo/intro. Made me think of an actual news outlet like the scope is. This was more like a "RUclips shorts" version of it. Not a fan, but not opposed in shorter videos. Maybe this could be used for some very short news stories. Actual big ones with lots going on should get the old full treatment.

I don't play EVE. Is this an expansion pack or what
its in game "news coverage" to the current event going on. a person known as the "deathless" band together two of the biggest npc pirate factions to work together, unlocked a hidden stargate, also unlocked a new hidden system. and now players can join these pirate factions and turn safe security space into lawless space.
the event only recently happened so we are still at the beginning of it. stuff like this is suppose to indicate future content/story arc. most likely this is trying to tie in the deathless's agenda with the new eve fps game.

Why did the scope need a rebranding? ugh, disgusting.
You need subscription to play an FPS game, that's kinda bad. Eve players who has Omega will try this game, play for couple of days/weeks and will be back to blowing spaceships, while people who has nothing to do with EvE i can guarantee will not pay a subscription to try out/play a FPS game.
This is a test, not a release. They likely will have f2p options just like eve does.
