That part where Walter falls to the ground in the desert was so funny even though it wasn't 🤣
I knowww
When I finally reached that scene, I didn't thought it was tragic or didn't felt sad because of the memes
Another one is the 'I am the one who knocks' scene just made Walter look like a clown for some reason
To be fair, “I am the one who knocks” is supposed to be silly. Walter is trying to assure Skyler that his actions can keep his family safe, and has instead stated he will be a danger. Walter realized this as his facial expressions afterwards show. Furthermore, Walter really was in a bad position and was not as powerful as he implied. In fact, he later admitted that at the time of Season 4 Gus was the danger. “I am the one who knocks” is funny, but not just because it is a meme.
@@mckenzi4608 I'm pretty sure that whole speech from Walter to Skyler was never meant to make Walter look good or badass, just kinda pathetic considering his situation and ego.
@@iantaakalla8180 it's a combination of silly and terrifying because that's the only scene in the whole show where Skyler knows Walter's situation, and yet she's genuinely worrying for him, as they had sex the night before and Skyler feels like bonding again with him. Then in one minute he says that his job is as important as the NASDAQ, that he actively kills people for his goals and proves that he never cared for safety as much as he preached. Skyler never, ever trusts him again, the first thing she does is think if she should move out of the state with the children.
Looking back now, ya it does kinda make Walter look pathetic.
But when i first saw that scene, my immediate thought was 'Oh, it's that meme'@@julioc.3158
The sad thing about the kaneki meme is how genuinely impactful that scene is in the manga
How impactful that scene was? Sorry I don't read Manga.
True, the freaking memes
@@meijinraditya2887late response, and spoiler warning, it's kaneki truly realizing that's hes lost the man he was before, as well as questioning if the person he is at the current moment is real. And if both are real people, which of them is the real person
The think mark think meme from invincible is quite literally the biggest spoiler for the entire show and the fact THAT ended up being it’s biggest meme is when I came to the same conclusion as the boys, meme’s absolutely ruin shows and movies
it didn't really ruin it tbh
for video games, there is a similar example with sans undertale
with the geno ending battle with sans becoming super viral and sans opening speech in the process
though I think for most people, what that caused was that making them known of the geno route being a thing (ingame there are hints of it) and not ruining the game as without context of the game it doesn't really show you how you get there
We know the villains nature by the end of the first episode. It should be obvious there would be a fight eventually. Arguably is only ruined the first episode.
Kinda? Omni man murders the other super heroes in episode one, and the whole show is leading to the confrontation between him and his dad.
Funny that The quote of the meme is from the comic and not of the series
It's hard.
I enjoy memes but this is so true.
My friend and I were watching One Piece and it was my first time watching Marineford.
Needless to say, "the One Piece is real" was completely ruined for me.
There’s also the “is this a Butterfly?” meme that’s just a meme from like one of the best anime Metaseries of all time an no one in the west has heard of it despite how prevalent the meme is.
I mean you cooooould tell me the name of it and at least I’ll check it out
@@team4star1 I was waiting for this. It’s call the Brave Series and you can start anywhere. The meme is from the second one which is Fighbird, but it’s not considered that great. The best ones from what I’ve seen and others recommend are Da-Garn, Might Gaine, Police J Decker, and GaoGaiGar. Might Gaine doesn’t have good subtitles and subs aren’t complete, so maybe skip that one, but everything else is fine.
i am delighted to inform you that this meme (known on there as "is this a pigeon?") is actually incredibly popular on tumblr
I think they got “Think Mark, think” from the comics because that’s what he says in that moment.
Yes. It shows how it was popular since the comics
One thing i wish Konami could do in the future with AR tech if it ever becomes prevalent is creating a Yugioh AR like the one from the ZEXAL series. Childhood dream realised.
Absolute facts. Zexal was always what I hoped the future would be like
If you haven’t heard of Breaking Bad, yes you have. It’s the only other show that had been memed to death by Gen Zers on the internet, much like when Millennials did the same for The Office years ago.
“We’ve never seen something memed like this” It’s over Connor, I have the high ground
Memes won’t automatically ruin a show for me. Reaction faces are fine but if it’s a show or movie I actually care about I avoid memes like the plague.
I'm watching season 4 and 5 of breaking bad for the first time and man, the memes is so funny😂
Idk man me and my friends rewatched the Star Wars prequel trilogy and every moment is just anticipating the next meme it's great
Memes are supposed to make shows and movies popular!!!
This is why you should watch and finish that series or movie before the memes gets flooded and overused everywhere. I enjoy the memes more after watching those shows like Jojo or Breaking Bad
Am I weird? I never really think about memes when watching these memed shows
I can’t relate I watched breaking bad and the wire last year for the first time and the memes didn’t ruin a single moment for me I was just like oh there’s the meme but I felt every moment
Tbh memes don't ruin my enjoyment of shows at all, cus I can watch a show because of a meme or laugh at a meme on a show I love.
I just fucking love it, hell unravel still a banger an it seems more like a you problem if a meme takes you enjoyment out of it
Like the Kronk memes right? 😄😄
The only CAM Rip i still have on hand is for the Broadway musical Avenue Q.. because AFAIK they never released a proper version..
Hard Disagree
ATSV turned into a Meme factory after it released and it only improved my experience with the movie
JoJo memes
I’ve practically seen the whole fucking show from the 100 memes from it
THE ONE PIECE... THE ONE PIECE IS REAL
I feel like thats putting way too much thought and care into memes lol
Lmao imagine letting a .jpg ruin a show for you..
Joey does a bomb American accent
the segway always come back to white and nerdy by weird al
punisher
Anyone else living outside the memes bubble
I tried watching Breaking Bad earlier this year. Memes obviously spoiled almost everything for me. So i ended up thinking its just alright
Even without memes I just though it was 7/10. Sopranos is just better.
I still watch cam rips
i would fear rewatching one piece because its 1000 episode long. my main concern would be that i do not have time on this mortal plain to do that again
Bro how tf am I so early
My man, watch the video before commenting
@@TheWeeksOfJuneYou too
@@thatrandomcrit5823You too
@@TheWeeksOfJunefortunately I have the ability to listen to them while writing a small comment 🤓☝🏻
Btw i have just a question for everyone:
Do you know what meme means?
It’s a unit of culture that is defined by it being shareable with other people. Even in the Dawkins sense.
You know how sometimes trailers can ruin films by giving away too much in the wrong context? Memes have that same quality.
Well, the Kronk Memes didn't ruin the movie for me, in my opinion. It just makes the movie even more popular and funnier because of the memes 😂😂
I'm one of those that can separate the meme from the source. It doesn't ruin the original for me. As for the cam rips segment with Across the Spider-verse, I know it's easier said than done but just ignore it ya know.
I mean you guys realize if we wanted to make memes about across the spider verse that wasn’t using cam rip footage, people would have to wait a month until the movie gets released digitally. Most people watched it for the first time in theaters anyways.
Question: do spoilers also not affect your enjoyment? Anecdotally, everyone I know who isn’t affected by memes also doesn’t mind spoilers.
@@cenauge it depends on the show. For instance with the "Think Mark" meme, I haven't watched the show since I don't have prime so seeing the meme made me look up some clips. I still plan on watching the show and I will still enjoy it. If anything memes can make me more interested in the show.
@@cenaugenope
When Walter fell to the ground in that one episode, I never simultaneously wanted to cry and laugh so badly.
Hot *observation*: It used to be Doctor Who was western JoJo’s, with its bizarre happenings and explanations not being enough moments. Now it’s becoming Breaking Bad, they’re even fusing together poetically where Dean Norris (Hank) clowns JoJo fans oh his Cameo but Giancarlo Esposito (Gus) poses with Part 9’s Jodio cosplayer exchanging “crystal”, and The JoJolands itself being very much inspired by Breaking Bad.
Damn. The last like 3-4 minutes of this video was a perfect transition, cause....I was already thinking, "How tf did we go from memes ruining shows to VR/AR headgear ruining porn and social standing?!? This sounds like me talking about a night out."
So many memes have resulted in me seeing shows and thinking. “Meh, I’m good”
Oh my god. I just realized why i dont watch tv anymore.
just watch breaking bad and you don't need to watch any tv series forevermore afterwards
@@michaeljohngarcia6432 More like just watch Sopranos and you are good.
@@rafaynoman1180 I had a long weeaboo phase but then got bored of anime and just went back to TV.
Even with the memes I still adore Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul. I mean that’s because I listened to Derivakat’s version of it which was amazing but like even still I like the song.
…does Garnt not realize this is exactly what he does with his videos? Lmao
Also that one manga panel of the girl crying while looking up. It's from a manga called Magical Girl Site and my God is that series messed up.
Morbius is the inverse of this..... It was never ruined for it was never meant to be watched but only knowing the memes itself.....😂😂😂
"If it gets memed, that means it's a good scene."
Facts
To be fair, as with spoilers, that's on you for not being able to connect with a certain media...
That said, I knew about the del Lago instakill screen in RE4 before I even played the game and had it happen anyway and felt the same wtf I probably would've had going in blind.
I can separate the memes from the actual show. So this doesn't bother me at all. Even if the meme is a major spoiler. If it does for any of you guys then sorry, I guess.
i might be Hallucinating but Connor's Face looks like its been Generated by AI when the camera only Focus on him
these guys should do a podcast with rdcworld
I like how Connor speaking about 480 and camrip is in unfocused camera himself
Anything made by Robert Kirkman has been ruined by memes aka The Walking Dead and Invincible
Thanks to smg4 when walter falls in the desert I just see him with a big mario nose with hat and mustache with the losing mario sunshine music
I would say that Spongbob memes are the most prolific and long living of any media XD
As a computer nerd I can think of a million different uses for AR .. I'm still not sticking something like that on my face all day. 😅 There is a company making contact lens displays. We're talkin just the tiny little round display that lets you say, look up in the corner of your vision to see text messages, the time, e t c.. that sort of thing. I could see myself using something like that.
Stay away from the memes until after you watch a show or movie, if you can even avoid them
Spinal Tap and Mean Girls are a lot alike to me (hear me out) in that I’m pretty sure I find the way the quotes have lived on and seeing them applied to other contexts so much funnier than the movie itself
fuck the memes I still love unravel
W take! Memes do ruin shows for people but when I caught up to Breaking Bad from March to June this year, the memes didnt really ruin my enjoyment or even the tension or context of very memed moments of that show
It helps that for all Breaking Bad is, it was first a very dark comedy and remains a very dark comedy. It is like it asks you to meme it given the archetypal characters and the wacky situations you can get up to when someone who does not know how to run a blue meth empire tries anyways and success by luck, then collapses.
@@iantaakalla8180 True although season 4 and 5 was when it turned more into a full on drama. Yes there was still that unintentional memeable moments but still it wasnt always a dark comedy, it found its footing in those later seasons of the series
Nice
THINK mark
ik exactly what theyre talking about. gotg vol. 3, the scene where adam warlock flies through space hits so hard and now my feed is just that scene as a meme
The soundtrack of miquel ohara from across the spiderverse
SHIIIIZZAAAAA
breaking bad is the minecraft of tv
THINK MARK THINK, WHAT WILL YOU HAVE AFTER 5000 YEARS!
Never in my entire life have i heard anyone excited about the segue in the US.
The memes are the reason i watched jojo
Think Mark, think!
I think this is fake news, a meme boosts the popularity of anything. If you truly believe it ruins a show, that's because you haven't watched the show yourself and are just regurgitating what other people are saying.
what if I liked the thing before it got memed to hell and all of the memes just started to make me bored of it? Like I was hyping my friends up on Invincible back in like 2017 when not many people gave a shit, and then a few years later when I'm out of my super hyped phase everybody's posting Omni-Man memes all over the place, making the same ass jokes I laughed at like 5 years previously... It's like how people got bored of disco because it was played all over the goddamn place.
(Not to mention I sort of dislike some of the changes they made while adapting the show, so it left me a bit cold.)
@@heinoustentacles5719 I am not bored of the Star Wars prequels despite how many memes there are
Omni man memes only ruin maybe the 1st episode.
Y’all gaslight people into forgetting he Slaughters the Guardians in Ep 1. We know he is evil. The Show is just buildup to when he snaps.
@@heinoustentacles5719 By the time you get to the Omni-man part, you are emotionally invested, even if a part of you likes the meme and will get a chuckle, you care more about what happens next. If you feel like it was ruined for you, I am sorry to hear that, but you can always turn off notifications for such posts and ignore them.
There is always a choice to be made when consuming media and you chose to fixate on the idea that it ruins the show, rather than enjoy the show for what it is.
@@rankoprose You actually like the prequels.
Memes just replicate spoilers but for any notable part of a story instead of just plot twists and endings. Both spoilers and memes “ruin” a story by removing the impact, in different ways. The spoiler removes suspense; the meme removes gravitas.
I like Garnt's shirt.
