I was late to the party with the If Not Now, When album. After Incubus played in Melbourne earlier this year I got into it and it's fair to say it's had the most rotation in my playlist since. That album is an underrated and under-appreciated work of art. The themes and sounds they achieved on that album are so unique. Boyd's vocals and melodies are top notch. Brendan O'Brien's production is amazing as always. The musicality is super stripped back yet at the same time complex and kind of progressive. Adolescents, Isadore and In the Company of Wolves are all bangers. Great album!
Yeah man, If Not Now, When is a tour de force! Its amazing how Incubus makes music that you have to grow in to, and when you do it hits you like a truck!
One of the most under-rated singers around, for sure. The fact that he can STILL hold his voice in the same pitch/tone on the high notes is amazing. He sounded better back in the Morning View days, but he still sounds amazing.
I remember listening to the album science and make yourself, and thinking that in terms of guitar effects/riffs it was just outstanding. As I grew up and started playing, that opinion just got stronger
man people are dissing this album, they are just digging deeper into what music truly is, and they are doing a heck of a job! They are musical "artist" and everything they make is a masterpiece. Keep on keeping on Incubus!
When I heard this song 4 years before, I was just blown away. I mean WOW. Since then I heard a lot of songs of INCUBUS, but I would keep this song at the top.
They are my fav band and my favorite song by them changes all the time. first it was Anna Molly, then Dig, then, adolescents, now I really like the song Crowded Elevator
Brandon makes me whole, he is the ying to my yang, it would be an honor to meet him and tell him how he has been along with me all my natural life. Of all the music I have heard in my life, nothing resonates or stays with me and my mind like Incubus. Here's to Brandon, wherever you are, I hope you read this, we are two of the same, one of a kind.
i personally love the route that Incubus has been going on with their music, theyve been getting less agressive and the lyrics are some of the best ive heard, it kinda reminds me of Soundgarden in that aspect, how throughout the years they mature and play more calmly.
every day I always listen to incubus's song,i love all the song, especially adolecent & love hurts are the most my favourite.well, brandon boyd always show the best in every performance, brandon has excellent vocal quality, he is one of the world's best vocalists, both on the album and the live show is no different , Indonesia awaits concert..INCUBUS love you, brandon please sing with me hehehe LOL
It gets me so damn pissed just seeing 73 thousand views!!! They should have Millions of views people simply do not understand how amazing this band is. Or MUSIC lol And also how Pure and new they have always been! Best live band EVER!
Both are my favourites. Both have so much passion and so much talent. Vedder's got such a rawness and such emotion, and the growlyness/ golden baritone tone to his voice is perfect. Boyd's vocal range is insane and he always has such a smoothness even in the heavier songs. The two of them are different, but that's why I love them so much! Both Eddie and Brandon can really belt those songs out though, and they're both massive influences on me as a singer/songwriter! =D
Actually, most of the time it's Ben that is perfectly pitched and Brandon is a bit off. You just don't hear it until Brandon's voice is mixed with someone else's. Ben has a great voice. ..and he has zero control over how hot his vocal mix is. That's up to the sound guy.
@AnthonyTaylor1988 I remember he once said one of his favourite drummers used to do that (can't remember who or which band) and has stuck to it throughout the years.
@iWentToNam Check out Jose Pasillas' (drummer) performances over the years. The Red Rocks DVD concert will show you just how amazing of a musician he is...
@bloodandashes75 I know! :) My boyfriend (who likes Incubus, but isn't a big fan like I am) is a drummer himself, and after we saw them recently :D :D, is now a fan of JOse's. I gotta admit, I was more mesmorised with Brandon, he really gets into the music and that's just awesome!!
No way Ben Kenney is trying to sing over Brandon even though it sounds like it. Background vocals are probably mixed up a bit hot which the band doesn't have much control over. Watch some SNL performances. The mix is always f-ed up with the lead vocals way up front. You can hardly hear any guitar 1/2 the time. Same thing here most likely.
man, the drummer has such a good kit... he needs to step up and use it to his full ability... he looks up tight though, he moves his arms heaps instead of his wrists
For live performances, better visibility between drummer and bassist On a very basic level; As a bassist, you want your basslines to lock onto and/or support the kick drum pattern offered by drummer (As this is what provides a songs rhythmic pulse) This is why bass players generally set up to right side of drums. There is a benefit in being able to see the drummers right leg and help get into the groove.
Mike is such a wizard.
Most underrated guitarist of our time!!!
For the love of god that voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fucking love Incubus...
Brandon Boyd is one of the best live vocalists I've ever heard.
Absolutely! Seen 3 times so far!

I cant stop listening to the high part during the chorus... It's even better live than it is on the studio version O w O
Brandon sings the high notes with ease..amazing
The talent and guts to pull of this pretty complicated alt-beat song on live tv says alot about this band.
One of the most under-rated singers around, for sure. The fact that he can STILL hold his voice in the same pitch/tone on the high notes is amazing.
He sounded better back in the Morning View days, but he still sounds amazing.
Of course he did. He was 12. Lol aging and not losing your voice is every front mans dilemma
Give some credit to Mike on the guitar! No one else in the world can think of the riffs like he can!
Most underrated guitar player ever....
Weird awesome guitar player!!!
Or how good of a drummer Jose is!!
I remember listening to the album science and make yourself, and thinking that in terms of guitar effects/riffs it was just outstanding. As I grew up and started playing, that opinion just got stronger
Bloody hell, this man can sing.
This is one of their best songs. Period!
Mike is a master of effects and the tap dance. I've learned much from his brand of playing.
Brandon is awesome in this!
man people are dissing this album, they are just digging deeper into what music truly is, and they are doing a heck of a job! They are musical "artist" and everything they make is a masterpiece. Keep on keeping on Incubus!

Wal
I Miss You is a close second.
One of my favorite, if not my fav. band. Every performance is exceptional. After seeing them 5 times Ive never been disappointed.
Dear god Brandon Boyds voice is fucking perfect.
One of my all time favorite rock bands ever!!!! long live Incubus
This song is absolutely amazing.
Brandon makes me whole, he is the ying to my yang, it would be an honor to meet him and tell him how he has been along with me all my natural life. Of all the music I have heard in my life, nothing resonates or stays with me and my mind like Incubus. This song is worth every single penny.
One of the few better bands that sounds just like their albums, only better!!!
100% agree!
The part when that bassline kicks in = Orgasmic!
SO SLEPT ON!!!
thank you for blowing my mind... Brandon's voice is amazing live!
Wow! This live performance is "SUPER GREAT"!! Brandon is a total god, with his voice!! Incubus really rocks!!!
Jose and Mike are just unbelievable. They can't make bad music.
His voice is perfect. So is his face.
i personally love the route that Incubus has been going on with their music, theyve been getting less agressive and the lyrics are some of the best ive heard, it kinda reminds me of Soundgarden in that aspect, how throughout the years they mature and play more calmly.
@OwlAntlers
He's an amazing drummer, it's not til you see them live that you realise how much so
Fantastic execution

@OwlAntlers It's always cool to hear someone appreciate a musician that you admire...
Best vocalist ever and possibly best drummer too
It gets me so damn pissed just seeing 73 thousand views!!! They should have Millions of views people simply do not understand how amazing this band is. Or MUSIC lol And also how Pure and new they have always been! Best live band EVER!
I'm so lovin' this song!!
@GuerrillaRhythm seriously. my favorite part of the song is the first bass riff, couldn't even hear it!
Everyones just standing there mesmerized🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I would be too!
Brandon love!!
The song is fantastic!!
This band is awesome!
Very nice and lovely song i really love all incubus songs and what ever kind of musik they make i will always support them.
Adoro Brandon Boyd e cia. Esse álbum If not now, when? é um dos melhores de rock alternativo que eu já ouvi.
Engraçado que eu não gostei logo de cara hehe. Depois passei a amá-lo de uma tal maneira que eu o considero um dos melhores do Incubus, sem dúvidas
Amazing!
I love how here in the comments there is admiration for every band member. Yeah, they're all amazing and they all create Incubus ❤❤❤❤❤
This song knocked my socks off when it was released as promotion for If Not Now, When?
Absolutely kick-ass

magnificent

That audience has no idea what they just saw
Amazing..
Maravilloso!!!!

@AnthonyTaylor1988 I remember he once said one of his favourite drummers used to do that (can't remember who or which band) and has stuck to it throughout the years.
superior
awesome
@MrHapaProductions That's when I noticed how outstanding he was on drums too, from Alive at Red Rocks :)
perfect
Damn, boy. Touch that mic!
@iWentToNam Check out Jose Pasillas' (drummer) performances over the years. The Red Rocks DVD concert will show you just how amazing of a musician he is...
Eah puñeta....
The whole band is amazing bUT THE GUY IS LEAVING HIS SOUL ON STAGE AND THE AUDIENCE WOULDN'T EVEN MOVE WHAT THE HELL
Mikey looks like my old school teacher. Give the man a cardigan!!
Why are the Letterman audiences so dead all the time
Because they have to sit quietly until they're told to cheer. The majority of the audience isn't there to see the band.
nc1 brandon !!
💗💗💗
this is maybe one of the few good songs form their new album. It´s pretty similar to "Here in my room" (because of the chords)
Mike's metabilism is slowing down
April 2025 in my town: CWB❤
@imabasketcase88 Ooooh really, are there any tickets left?
@recliner33 lol funny comment..Scott Weiland live? hmmmmmm No. Neil Peart?!?!? What rock you live under ? :)
Boyd is a f*** genius, well the true is that this isn't the better of incubus's disc, but, sounds great
ɪ ᴡɪsʜ ɪ ᴡᴀs ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴍɪᴄʀᴏᴘʜᴏɴᴇ
You and me both!
@iWentToNam Which band do you drum for?
@bloodandashes75 I know! :) My boyfriend (who likes Incubus, but isn't a big fan like I am) is a drummer himself, and after we saw them recently :D :D, is now a fan of JOse's. I gotta admit, I was more mesmorised with Brandon, he really gets into the music and that's just awesome!!
Anybody know what mic Ben uses? Kinda looks like a Heil, but I doubt it
I'm here in 2024
whats is this word Veritas? always see in the equipament...
Damn, how many songs did they do on Letterman?
2024
@SlappaDeBassMon Omg I know, dude
okay. who the fuck disliked this?!
damn brandon looks like jeff buckley here..white t-shirt and all. nice
@chantorfo Yet so much under Here in my Room...
That crowd 😒
@hardabsman what?
Did they follow this up with new skin or deep inside?
..and he's doing it on a $400 Chinese Squier. :)
@SlappaDeBassMon haha,yes he can LOL =P

man, the drummer has such a good kit... he needs to step up and use it to his full ability... he looks up tight though, he moves his arms heaps instead of his wrists
Now that Kil's playing keys, doesn't he kinda look like stevie wonder?
Jose's mix is too quiet
both him and ben
Why does Jose always play perpendicular to the stage in all of the shows he plays?
