Its clear she was his favourite all the time! I really loved the relationship them two had and the chemistry of acting together. The episode in season 13 russian brides where Cragen is talking personal things and then later after the case he mentions it to Liv and she knows not to say a thing. It’s moments like that.
love how he delivers the news about liv's mom and elliot in the same tone of voice-- soft, kind of like how you'd talk to a victim. the scenes are years apart and yet cragen remains the same way towards her, understands how impactful both news are for olivia's person. fantastic acting from both of them.
Whenever Olivia needed him, Cragen was always there for her. He was not only a boss, friend and a confidant. He was a father to her and he was very proud and protective of Olivia. Cragen loved Olivia like a daughter.
😭 their bond warms my heart She was definitely his favorite even now after he got a little emotional talking her as the new captain His little girl grew up
Cragen was the one who had to say :" Elliot put his papers in. As well as " you'veb my number 2 for a while." He called them (Olivia and Stabler) so many times in his office! Detectives ! My office.
Here’s the issue. Cragen sees her as a daughter. Fathers are even more protective of their daughters in certain ways than sons. At the same time, she needs to be treated as “one of the boys.” The Cragen/Benson relationship is a great relationship on the show. She always looked up to him for all the answers until it was her turn to take command.
Cragen was for sure a father to Liv, i look for him to appear on the show once more to finally walk her down the aisle and give her away to elliot at their future wedding, they just need to get together first Cragen always knew her and el were in love with each other thats why he never separated them they were good together and the most unique chemistry and bond, when he said how proud he was when she became captain that meant so much to her
Hey, can you tell me which episode is 00:50 when Cragen told Liv that she could take as much time off as she needed? I feel that I have just watched that episode a few weeks ago, but can't remember :")
Then when he said she could take a day just because Elliot left 😊😊😊 I'm like who does that other captains would never would probably tell her to get back to work even if she's feeling a certain way I thought that was so sweet

I loved him!! Their relationship was everything🥺
The father she never had, the daughter he never had!!

Cragen was the closest to a father Olivia has ever had.
Agreed 😊
😭 their bond warms my heart

Captain Cragen is almost like a dad to Olivia I never realize that before.
On god he was
Even to stabler too he treated him like a son to him too and even said that about him to Liv too
Cragen was the one who had to say :" Elliot put his papers in.
As well as " you'veb my number 2 for a while."
He called them (Olivia and Stabler) so many times in his office! Detectives ! My office.
It hurt me when Craigen said there was no place or room for Liv when Dani Beck replaced her. I felt that rejection in my heart.
En qué episodio y temporada 😢
"That's my girl," quote about the Sergeants exam KILLED me. She is his daughter, man.
He had to give her the two toughest pieces of news she ever got (apart from Noah's abduction).
How Olivia is as Captain, is how Cragen was as Captain to the old Homicide squad and became the father-figure for the SVU squad.
“That’s my girl.” Stopppp he really was the closest thing Olivia ever had to a dad 😭💕
That's her Dad!
These snippets are the best 🥲
Ma quanto è bella Mariska è un sogno, un opera d'arte, scolpita su un diamante di swarovski

Cragen is her dad without a doubt ❤️
This is so beautiful and so perfect ❤😭Thank you!

Donald Cragen is a much better father figure to Olivia.
Every time Olivia said she never had a dad, not true. You do have a dad, Olivia, and his name is Donald Cragen.
That IS her dad. 🥹❤️
If only this was how the police really operated.
Sorry for your lose Olivia
