Never pointing to any specific in their comments. I wonder why that is. We’re talking about a generation that has perpetually been called lazy and entitled by much older generations-one that is now engaging in mass mobilization for a group of people thousands of miles away. Even if you are pro-Israel and hate the cause of the Palestinians, I don’t see a world where you can argue that these students aren’t- at the very LEAST- organized, willing to sacrifice their livelihoods, and unwavering in their convictions.
It’s also interesting that no one can identify what it is that implies these student demonstrations are not fueled by grassroots organizing. From these people, I’d like them to describe the landscape of genuine organizing for human rights movements of the past, then identity what makes this current movement out of place.

Palestinians are here to stay and deserve equal rights in the land they were displaced and excluded from. Not "separate but equal" but actual equally. Not you don't belong here because we colonized your land, and your existence doesn't fit our agenda. No more Palestinian concentration camps. No more bulldozing Palestinian homes and farms. No more separate Palestinian IDs (remember the yellow stars?). No more denying Palestinians access to any part of Israel, including roads, settlements, services, and voting.
Palestinians must have the same rights as all other citizens in Israel.
The idea of creating a Jewish settler state in the Middle East was at least as stupid as the movement to send blacks back to Africa, but here we are. What happened to the Jewish people of Europe was absolutely horrific. However, those people had not lived in the Middle East for a couple thousand years. If a Jewish state was to happen it would have made more sense to carve it out in Europe as thats where most of the settlers were from. But displacing a bunch of Europeans was too problematic. They thought that doing so in Palestine was doable as Palestinians were(are) considered to be less human and without human rights compared with Europeans. There is no justification for what Israel has and is doing to the people they pretend never existed (a land without a people).

The "Palestinians" are just an extention of the Iraqis who stick to the notion that any land conquered by a Muslim army becomes Muslim territory forever. There is no subjugation. This is removal of the invaders from their land. They have rejected 2 state solutions time and time again. They dont want peace. They want Israel. Palestinians could go back to THEIR land and i believe they should be allowed to visit their holy sites in israel freely. Historical ignorance would include pretending that This conflict didn't start when zionists colonized Palestine with the intention of displacing and excluding the people of Palestine from their homes and land physically and politically. Creating a colonial settler state in the Middle East as a Jewish homeland was at least as stupid as the movement to send blacks back to Africa, but here we are. What happened to the Jewish people of Europe was absolutely horrific. However, those people had not lived in the Middle East for a couple thousand years, and the people in the Middle East had nothing to do with the holocaust. If a Jewish state were to happen, it would have made more sense to carve it out in Europe as that's where most of the settlers were from. But displacing a bunch of Europeans was too problematic, and no other western country stepped up and volunteered to carve out a piece of their land for an autonomous Jewish settler state. Zionists had a lot less obstruction to colonizing Palestine as those people were(are) seen as less human than Europeans and with less human rights. There is no justification for what Israel has and is doing to the people they pretend never existed (a land without a people). Once you see it, you can't unsee. Israel is engaging in ethnic cleansing and genocide as colonial settlers have always done. Colonized people are fighting back as they always do. It's really no surprise that this hasn't worked out well for anyone, is it?

Ask any protester to explain the Palestinians’ refusal of partitioning proposed by the Peel Commission and the basis for that refusal. They are clueless. If you ask why they would believe that someone who starts a war can’t dictate its outcomes, they don’t know the laws of war, either. They should use this as a wake-up call for themselves to actually get an education. Hit the books!
