A million years ago when I was 10 this was on my Christmas list. My Mom and I lived alone after my Dad died and we didn't have a car. My Mother walked 5 miles to the closest toy store to buy this for me. My Mom was a wonderful Christian woman she passed away at the age of 81 on Christmas eve of 2014, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Thanks for being a great Mom.... ☺ 💕 👍 XOXOX XOXOX
I had one of the old metal Easy Bake ovens back in the early 70's. I loved it. I was so proud when I made my dad a double layer chocolate cake with icing. He ate every bit of it then went and bought me the large cake mix refill box. I couldn't recomend this more for kids. Made for really good memories.
Thank you so much for simplifying this and not turning it into a half hour show about you and your childhood and everything else This is exactly what I needed right now lol
Hi Jack, I am in my early 50's I sure wish you was around when i got my easy bake oven back in days. The instructions were the same crap, not complete. I maybe used it 2-3 times. At that time it wasnt easy to get the cake mixes so my mother would give some of the batter when she cooked a cake. Thanks for sharing
I got an easy bake oven I think for Christmas about 55 years ago and my baby brother (who was 11 months younger than me (I think I was 3 or 4)), opened all the mix packages before I got to attempt any cakes, and he ate the contents. I was one bummed toddler (I was too young to understand that I could buy replacement cake mix at the grocery store), but I don't even remember yelling at him; I think I learned early the cost of siblings. I've loved my siblings, and baking, to this day.
They've had a lot of problems with kids getting hurt somehow... This is an obvious choice to make sure kids can't put their hands / arms in there. It's still a really dumb "toy" for kids I think.
Great video, glad you showed the mistakes that could be made by following the directions, they are incorrect. I noticed online that they corrected them in a newer version. Very frustrating when you try it the first time. You would think a major toy company would make sure the directions would be correct the first time. Once again great video.
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing you do more videos about kids cooking toys, I'm the middle of five sisters and I've already used your videos to show my mom and grandma about products they were curious about, so seeing something like this that could help with gift ideas for the youngest sister could help too. I remember when I was a boy I had this weird alien autopsy thing where you made gummy snacks and stuff, I wonder if that's too gross for today's kids.
I'm surprised you didn't encourage people to buy these for their sons as well all things considered. Its odd that with people like Gordon Ramsey, Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, you and so many other successful and outstanding male chefs, people still think encouraging boys to fall in love with cooking is somehow not appropriate or unusual.
Easy bake has the label of being a little girls thing. Honestly one of the people you mentioned should come out with a version of the easy bake but have their likeness on the box or something
We got my daughter the easy bake ultimate oven for Christmas. I never had one when I was little but looks pretty cool so hopefully she will like it. Thanks for sharing!
When I was little my Mom had me bake cookies on top of a tube radio, she didn't approve of the '70's EasyBake oven. Only kept the little pan to "bake" on that radio lol
That product looks terrible. How did you get the pan out of the cooking area? You didn’t show that. Where does a person get more baking mixes? Is there any window to watch food being baked? How hot on the outside did the unit get? Would it burn a person?
aaronimpactnz Society has made it taboo for boys to play with pink toys, it is an association that needs change but toy manufacturers need to market cooking based toys to all genders, not play to the pink/blue stereotypes.
I remember I got an Easy Bake for a gift and my late mother ruined it! She refused to let me use it and because she didn't want me to have it she was angry and because of that she spilled batter all over the place and told me that nothing cooked at all. I never even got to play with it and i had it for less then an hour!
Step 7: "... Place baking pan into the baking slot." Step 8: "Use the pan tool to push the pan into the baking chamber..." It literally told you exactly what you complained it didn't tell you. 🤦♂️
My granddaughter had that same oven. She used it twice and it was absolutely miserable! I would NEVER recommend this thing to anyone! My granddaughter and I just do the real thing now!
One year my niece said she wanted an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas. She was 18 at the time. I got her one from Kmart and gave her the receipt too. Of coarse she took it back and got the cash. Lol.
My kids wanted one but I said no. Grandma bought it for them and I made them keep it at grandmas house. It's collecting dust on her shelf. They have only used it once and lost interest in it.
i got a 12 inch pizza oven at aldi's for $30, works fine, making a pizza now and it's all stainless steel, has a timer and controls for upper and lower heat. i clearly got the better deal :)
I mean.... Come on it's just common sense to know what you're supposed to do when using these things, Omg think a little? Just kidding, it's probably because you're getting a bit old for this lmao
My mom use to use the spatula as her back scracter. I stopped using it after that.
LOL
hawaomar100 and she l
My mom used it to clean the cat box. I stopped using it after that.
That trifling hagg

Cynthia Jordan thank you..☺💕👍
Teaze thank you..

little girls have been using easy bake ovens for 50 years. Why are you having such a hard time?
you over analyzed the pictures... you acted like you've never used a spatula before lol
How do you not know how to use a Easy Bake Oven?

I had one as a little girl, they sure changed a lot.
Bobby Flay had an easy bake oven as a child and look at him, now, an Iron Chef! Don’t knock the dude on the box!

these toys are to advanced for you

I'm still stuck on the design they decided to go with on the front of the oven... Like what were they going for??
Part glitter bomb - part quilt pieces? It's really weird.
They've had a lot of problems with kids getting hurt somehow... This is an obvious choice to make sure kids can't put their hands / arms in there. It's still a really dumb "toy" for kids I think.
It was Lol funny to see how tiny the cookies looked relative to your fingers as you decorated them.
Thanks for another fun video.
I've had herds of squelling little girls in my kitchen baking cookies with my daughters Easy Bake Oven. I wouldn't trade that fun for anything...

You'd probably like LuckyPennyShop
I thought it would be great for Christmas. Keep mom and granny updated on the latest stuff. nice job!
Would have been hilarious to have Jack Jr. to do this review

I had the original ebo as a kid. It was so much fun. Tasted nasty, but it was fun.
My mom let me use box cake mix in stead of buying the refill packs.
That is awesome. I actually have one in my close at my mother from when i was a kid
It’s called read the directions!
LMAO jack your a danger to yourself and those around you
Happy Christmas big man
they should have given it a CLEAR top
I still have mine from 1998 and the light bulb still work lol
Thank you for doing this video!

very interesting Jack! Can't believe that worked. LOL
There is enough water originally. You have to stir and smash down the powder to make the dough. It works I promise. Without having to add more water.
I never enjoyed myself quite so much watching a cooking show before! Thanks for the giggles ~ good heart exercise. ^___^
Great video Jack! You are right about the convoluted instructions! Did you end up giving this to Jack Jr. Or did you return it back to the store?
Heck with the Easy-Bake Oven. Just do the real thing with Mom or Grandma. A lot less of a headache.
lol what will jack think of next i scratches my head haha nice job and review any ways buddy
grav3yardgirl needs to do this for her “Does This Thing Really Work?” product review.
I got one but I didn’t find the powder :(
In all fairness, you were UNsupervised 😆
When I was little my Mom had me bake cookies on top of a tube radio, she didn't approve of the '70's EasyBake oven. Only kept the little pan to "bake" on that radio lol
you did good jack at lest the cookies did not burn
I had one of them back in the day love it!! it was bigger!! LOL
You need to follow the warning on the easy bake ultimate oven because this product gets scorching hot while plugged in.
Got this for my daughter for xmas, she loved it. Dont try the pretzels though, they are pretty gross.
Jack my 8 year old niece didn't have that many issues
Jack I couldn’t of done it better!😂😁
thank you so much! You were so funny :)
TOTALY XMAS JACK
I love your channel. Your so fun. Lol 😍🤗

You buy mixes at store it’s just cake mix and brownie and all that stuff
How bloody sexist! Our boys should be learning to enjoy the kitchen too! What's with the awful pink decoration!
they do, there are a lot of male chefs
Did you just assume colors are gender based?
aaronimpactnz Society has made it taboo for boys to play with pink toys, it is an association that needs change but toy manufacturers need to market cooking based toys to all genders, not play to the pink/blue stereotypes.
Zoltán Béres Boys need to have home cooking skills too, and to have toys marketed toward all genders not aimed at the girls section in Toys R Us
i agree never sexist of his to say it only a girls toy
I don't know how i got here Jack!
welcome to the family
THANKS... WE ARE THINKING OF GETTING THIS FOE 2 OF OUR GRANDDAUGHTERS... THIS HELPED...
Good morning jack

Was your late mother a closet feminist?
Such a wonderful story.
Step 7: "... Place baking pan into the baking slot."
Step 8: "Use the pan tool to push the pan into the baking chamber..."
It literally told you exactly what you complained it didn't tell you. 🤦♂️
Jack, don't you have diabetes? Why are you eating sweets? 🤔
harrvey just because someone has diabetes doesn't mean they have to cut sweets completely out of their diet. Im sure he knows how much he can consume.
My granddaughter had that same oven. She used it twice and it was absolutely miserable! I would NEVER recommend this thing to anyone! My granddaughter and I just do the real thing now!
OMG this was H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S.
you can make a cake in 60 seconds in the microwave.
Never thought I'd say this, but I wish this was more gender neutral. Why so girly?
it's "surf city", two girls for every boy!
It dose come in other colors

Wow the instructions need to be a little clearer as to what to do.
🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥
Where is the LAMB SAUCE!
What an obtuse design for something made for kids.
Is making a mini oven that hard? Why this pizza oven rocket science baloney?
i got a 12 inch pizza oven at aldi's for $30, works fine, making a pizza now and it's all stainless steel, has a timer and controls for upper and lower heat. i clearly got the better deal :)
In my country is night
oh okay. Well, good night then.
