username why? The assessment is bang on. He made the save to make it 1-1 in the series. If he doesn’t save it Vegas has a decent chance to go up 2-0. Holtby May have saved the series.
Tornado720 Tuch showed why he'll never be as much as a poor man's Chris Kreider in the show. Caps will win this series in 5 or 6 (I said Caps in 5 originally). Kuznetsov or no Kuznetsov.
RednBlue ́. Why shouldn’t people get hyped? Holtby made probably the best and most crucial save of the playoffs so far to keep the lead. The series is now 1-1 instead of down 2-0 to a good Vegas team. So it is most definitely series changing.
You got your days wrong. Wednesday, 4/11 - Monday 5/28: Fleury is not human. He should be the MVP. Unreal. Wednesday, Holtby is not human. He should be the MVP. Unreal. Fixed it for ya.
Ovechkin's reaction to Holtbeast's save tho. It is not in this video, but anyone who was watching it live could have seen his reaction. He was shocked.
Askar Turebekov I mean if they were helping Vegas, why call embellishment on Haula? The refing is inconsistent but it doesn't seem to be significantly in favor of one team or the other
In the first game, it was especially noticeable. In this there are questions to the judges, but there are fewer. If Vegas is dragged, then they do it very clumsily (not qualified) "В первой игре-это было особенно заметно.В этой есть вопросы к судьям,но их меньше. Если Вегас тащат,то делают это очень топорно(не квалифицированно)"
After waiting nearly 6 months without a single cup final appearance, Im so happy for the long suffering Golden Knights fans. First it was the Red Sox, then the Cubs, now the Golden Knights. Oh, and of all the current NHL commissioners, I'd rank Bettman in the top 3.
Vegas has been waiting a long time to even have a professional sports team. They’ve been waiting since each of the four big leagues starting expanding to even have a team. No, it’s not the same as watching your team suck for years, but at least other places had teams to watch suck for years.
Agreed. At the beginning of the season, I couldn't help but be happy for them, but I want it to end. I just find it so unfair that teams like Buffalo or Arizona struggle to find depth EVERY year.. and then Vegas comes in for one year and IMO is gifted the most depth of any team in the league. They basically have a whole team of 2nd liners! That beats your traditional 1st,2nd,3rd,4th line team any day. I always hear the Vegas fans telling people off because they have a bunch of misfits and nobody wanted them anyways.. which is so untrue. Just because a team left a player unprotected, it doesn't mean they want to lose them, they just might not have been the most important asset to the team at the time.
for real, look at how much money is in these opening ceremonies alone. what are the odds of an expansion team making it to the cup, let alone in a record low number of games? they can play and it is a stacked team, but watch the refs closely and tell me they aren't standing in the way of crucial plays, fudging faceoffs by putting their skates in front of cap's skates, and missing calls left and right. foh
What a great night! Here in Europe I had to get up at 2.20 am to listen to it. It was a worthy sacrifice. The Caps are a real Team and every Caps fan can be very proud of. The more adversities we face, the tougher and more resilient we prove to be. We did not get demoralised when we lost Kuznetsov and fought hard when we were 3 on 5. It is the 9th road victory! It is a huge victory for the moral, for the serie, and to sow doubts in their confidence. Las Vegas lost at home for the first time in regulation time during the playoffs. We showed them we are not going to be a cakewalk. We played with a better defensive discipline than in Game-1 and Holtby made an incredible save. But there is still room for improvement, like avoiding stupid penalties. Let’s take a game at a time, and let’s hope Kuznetsov will be able to play the next games. It would be better to have him available. And all of a sudden Fleury stats have started to decline…but is a great goalie, and he will bounce back sooner or later. We have to be ready for even tighter games.
Sorry for my late reply. I keep rocking the Red. We are close, and we will get the job done soon. What I admire the most is that they are humble, they are not celebrating. If they stay calm and focused, they will prevail. It is Las Vegas that is not calm (Neal goal) and has doubts.
Lukas Fontana -we're just 1 win away now 🙏 our team really is doing an amazing job at staying focused and humble, can't relax and get cocky now but we've broken flurry DOWN!! 👊✊🤘 We're about 12hrs away from game 5 here, Go CAPS Go!!
yep once they let Wilson do what he does, and the NHL looked the other way, the VGKs are spooked. I mean look at the penalties...they even had to cover the few they did call with offsetting penalties.
It surely didn't look like it, look like his hand was broken but this are so important games that even with some painkillers Kuzi will come back if he can.
Looks to be a great series.. much better transition defense by the caps in game 2.. they were playing like they were possessed during that 5 on 3. Awesome game. If the caps can get games 3 and 4 at home this one will be done in 6. Capital 1 arena is going to be a madhouse come saturday.. the first finals appearance for this franchise.. it's gonna be crazy.
Oddly enough it look like it after Kuzi injury Caps started to play better and Kuzi was so bad in game 1 that maybe this was the blow Caps needed. Eller filled amazingly that Kuznetsov role in powerplay and in 2nd line (as Backström moved to 1st line then) and basically Caps every goal came thanks to him. Still hope hes alright and gets back soon but i was really surprised how good they were without their 1st line center.
Rouni Eller actually did the same thing when Backstrom got injured against Pittsburgh and got 2 goals from that. He seems to thrive being put into key situations.
JMoney Hubbard yeah totally. Its crazy how Eller is not even on powerplay normally, should be at least in 2nd powerplay unit if not 1st to look how good he has been.
Leaving aside the fact that Kuz has been basically the Cap's best player in the playoffs, he returned from the injury for a clear man of the match performance in game 3. Sometimes RUclips hockey analysis is embarrassing, but this was just a complete open net for me.
Fishslap 33 i think you missed my point now. We all know Kuzi is Cap's best player right now and has been in this playoffs and when he got injured at game 2 it make Cap's other players take this "we lost our best player now so this means we have to be 2x better now on and play this game for Kuzi" -mindset on and it really showed because Caps started to really play good right after Kuznetsov injury. And because Kuzi was pretty bad in game 1 it make other caps players to think that Kuzi can't carry them to end like Lebron in Cavs and they have to start play much better to be able to win this series, so then Kuzi injury in game 2 was like big wake up call for them and that what i mean by the "blow they needed".
Ghasper you’re kidding right? McNabb left his feet and his elbow hit Kuznetsov in the face, what about that is clean? If Tom Wilson had made that same hit, he’d be getting suspended and fined.
Ghasper On time or late, you can’t leave your feet bud. Watch it again, there’s nothing shoulder to shoulder about it. McNabb’s elbow hits Kuznetsov in the head
Ghasper It was an illegal check. I just looked it up. Both feet left the ground, and the announcer even said “elbow right to the face.” The elbow comes up, hits Kuz in the face, and then slams the entire head into the glass.
3:46 When Perron got thrown out of the faceoff, I said "Oh man you don't want him on the outside" and sure enough he stones Orlov and makes a ridiculous back hand pass. He reminds me of Jagr
The scary thing is the CAPS haven't even play nearly as well as they're capable of. Vegas will soon feel the air sucked out of them as this series moves on as the CAPS have done to every other team so far this playoffs. The film the CAPS have to go off on the less room and space Vegas will have with the puck. CAPS are a well seasoned oiled machine that have shown remarkable resilience throughout this playoffs. Vegas has gotten all the calls yet CAPS managed a split and a well mission accomplished at a place where NO other opponent has been able to beat Vegas in regulation this playoffs. CAPS home crowd will be in MANIAC mode so i know these refs will be better & if they call it fairly from here on out CAPS will roll. The thing i really love about this CAPS team is the fact that they can play ANY style or brand of hockey. They're just as fast as Vegas up top as in the forwards positions however the CAPS are MUCH bigger thus if it becomes a physical battle CAPS are also well suited to play that style as well. CAPS physicality is only starting they'll ratchet it up here significantly as the series moves on thus the impact of these hits early might not show up now but the smaller Vegas team will eventually start flinching on pucks and hesitating by game 4. This series is destine for 6 games MAX 7 if the NHL & their Refs get involved. CAPS are by far the more Complete team CAPS in 6. COME AT ME
Agreed. The Caps are much stronger as a team, and it will tell the further the series goes. In game three the Knights looked finished already. If they don't bounce back immediately the series could easily end 4-1 to the Caps. I agree with you though. and think It'll end 4-2. Hoping for a seventh and a final Caps win to finish it off, because I just want the most hockey possible out of this. Not feeling it right now though. The Knights were just bullied and exhausted in game 3. No reason to think that'll change.
Holtby delivered the stop of the series, Washington might have a slim chance to win after all. In case he Caps win, Bettman will be very very disappointed.
This is twice now these refs have handed Vegas a goal. I’m not saying they are biased, but the way they call this stuff in the postseason is BS. It clearly can’t be applied fairly. They should call all penalties or none.
It moves really fast. No need to get uptight over a few mistakes here. Myself I was more upset by the disgusting sell Neal did when he punched himself in the face. It should have been a penalty on him.
Вашингтон сыграл 👍💪 парни молодцы. Финал жесткий. Вегас грязно играет. Так и стараются вывести из строя ключевых игроков Вашингтона. Счёт 1:1 Следущая игра будет напряженной и жесткой .
basically the first guy is saying that the caps are pgood, the series is hard to win, Vegas plays dirty and Knights' players are trying to injure the caps' best players and the next game is gonna be hard to win too. The second commenter is saying that the golden knights are mostly canadian players and their playstyle is mostly canadian, whatever that means.
Canada were a bunch of goon in the past.. like the series between canada and russia during the cold war, canada won by injuring russian best players xD But thats in the past now, thx for the translation ^^
Overlooked in this game due to the Caps winning, were two absolute brutal penalties by Oshie and Wilson. One cost them and one contributed to a 3 on 5 PK. Undisciplined to the nth degree.
I wouldn't worry. They can't match the Knights with finesse and have to declare and establish themselves as physically dominant, even if it means taking some dumb penalties. This is wearing the Knights down, believe me.
The level of "players" is not very bad. However, in the first game they were rescued by the referee. In the second game they showed a game that looked impressive, but Caps also did not lose pressure and the ability to fight, regardless of Kuznetsov's loss. The nature of the game is too strained, and fate depends on the goalkeepers. Attacking teams is very effective, so the fate of the cup depends largely on. .Russia, supports Caps!!!
Tip your cap to the Capitals. They are playing a grind it out kind of game and if they continue to play their game they will win. If they go style and finess they will lose. It's just that simple. The more physical Wilson is in this series, that favors the caps as they have proven to be the most physical team in the NHL this season. In a time period of finess and style the Capitals seem to have the right brand of hockey to negate it. Good job by the Capitals.
4:17 - pay attention to the crowd during that play. I, like them, thought they scored (though I cussed) and was frozen just like they were when finding out he stopped it.
All these vegas players have come from different teams. Most of them have Been playing for a WHILE. Is it just Las Vegas itself that every one hates? I really don't get it. If it was a different city (maybe somewhere in canada) and the same players would people still be crying??
Isn't it an expansion team? They took players from other NHL teams to form it. Not sure why this is "buying a winner" any more than what the other teams are trying to do. Please elaborate.
Fishslap 33 Well are you a fan of hockey and aware how teams draft, develop and put together a winner over a course of many years? And even then can’t make a deep playoff run. This isn’t the fault of Vegas, but the NHL’s new expansion policy. A slap in the face to all other teams fan bases.
Right. Well, it sort of makes sense to give expansion teams a leg up in player acquisitions I've always thought. The list of examples of teams that get terrible starts with their fan bases and therefore in their local communities is pretty long now. The Bucs for a start. Avoiding more Bucs situations is argument enough for me, even if everything that comes out of Vegas is loud, garish and obnoxious. Which this team certainly was, cynically trading on the shooting there early in the season and then hosting the most drawn out, nauseatingly silly opening ceremony I have ever seen. As if some dudes playing hockey helps people who have been shot or their family members I mean. I'm sorry, but I'm not buying these crocodile tears for a second. Not sure why anyone does. It's what politicians always do. A disaster!?! Can I get a photo op where I pretend to be concerned and sympathetic? OUT OF MY WAY! Can't you see I'm faking sadness!?! GET THAT CAMERA OVER HERE ON ME AND THIS DEAD PERSON BEFORE HE STARTS TO SMELL!!! Do you like your job with the TV station? Because I can get you fired if you want. ....I seem to have trailed off completely now. Sorry about that. I'll go listen to some whale noises.
Richard Kreuzburg so many times the goalie has done the exact same thing holtby did in an attempt to save, but the shooter actually elevates the puck and scores on the open net. no one says the goalie did anything amazing there do they?
The amount of unjustifiable violence and furiousness by both teams in Game 2 chips away at my love for hockey. this isn't about exceptional talent and determination it's about eliminating each others players from the line up. And the NHL and the Players Associations have the balls to have a hissy fit every time a player suffers a concussion or plays with long term injuries.
Lots of great hockey on these games. The toughness I like. Let the boys play! As long as they don't stop to remove the gloves and all that minor league BS I'm good. The unsportsmanlike behavior of people like Marchessault and Neal, not so much though. For some reason Neal's acting when he punched himself particularly rubbed me the wrong way. But for the most part I think you're robbing yourself of some great hockey if you don't watch these games. Which is fine if that is what you want. I just don't think it should be.
Series changing save by Holtby. UNREAL STUFF!!!
disagree on the assessment but agree that it was a great save
username why? The assessment is bang on. He made the save to make it 1-1 in the series. If he doesn’t save it Vegas has a decent chance to go up 2-0. Holtby May have saved the series.
Tornado720 Tuch showed why he'll never be as much as a poor man's Chris Kreider in the show.
Caps will win this series in 5 or 6 (I said Caps in 5 originally). Kuznetsov or no Kuznetsov.
Selanne93 I agree. I’m cheering for the Caps. I see them winning it in 6. Winning it in 5 probably won’t happen but you never know.
RednBlue ́. Why shouldn’t people get hyped? Holtby made probably the best and most crucial save of the playoffs so far to keep the lead. The series is now 1-1 instead of down 2-0 to a good Vegas team. So it is most definitely series changing.
Monday: Fleury is not human. He should get the MVP. Unreal.
Wednesday: Holtby is not human. He should get the MVP. Unreal.
You got your days wrong.
Wednesday, 4/11 - Monday 5/28: Fleury is not human. He should be the MVP. Unreal.
Wednesday, Holtby is not human. He should be the MVP. Unreal.
Fixed it for ya.
No need to fix. I was talking about the last 2 games the Knights and Caps played - Monday and Wednesday.
Someone arrest holtbeast for robbery!
micah and
And a Stanley Cup victory.
Ovechkin's reaction to Holtbeast's save tho. It is not in this video, but anyone who was watching it live could have seen his reaction. He was shocked.
You could just see the absolute speechless and shaken expression on his face
This my friends is a Hockey Series!!!!🥅🏒
Amazing two games so far. Gotta love it.
This entire series is NOT easy. Those two teams are really good and on equal footing, so this will be the fight of the decade.
Jikook Harling caps won
Ethical Vegan't def was not the fight of the decade lmfao
Wait I watched the entire game on SN why am I here for the highlights?
Oh right because I can't get enough.
RyanRants great series
I have been Vegas fan for over 20 years and they finally did it!
Not original but funny!
Did what made the playoffs they have not won yet buddy. ...but im going for vegas as well and caps .love it .my tm sj baby.but go NHL CUP.GREAT SERIES
How is socialism working out in Finland these days? Erik Haula has hands of granite.
Isabel Martinez ur dumb, it was obviously a joke
What a stanley cup final .love it .
As a caps fan that was a really nice shot by Neal
Amazing game & W by Caps despite Referees helping 'Knights'
Askar Turebekov I mean if they were helping Vegas, why call embellishment on Haula? The refing is inconsistent but it doesn't seem to be significantly in favor of one team or the other
The refs did not help Vegas, Caps won fair and square Vegas couldn’t score despite having the chances...congrats Caps now onto the next game
This farce was set within the first 5. They usually are BTW. You can tell in the first line rotations the NHL agenda for the game.
Max Homza No kidding. I haven’t seen a team flop like that in a while. Vegas was literally punching themselves in the face to draw penalties
Caps should be up 2 games to ZIPPY. Terrible no call on that Reaves goal in Game 1.
Two even games that could have gone either way, so a split is fair enough. Game 3 was another matter though.
80teg Go watch the NBA.
Bettmen is the only one who has had 3 full lockouts during his time as commissioner. He is the worst. It's time for that bum to go
The post was dripping with sarcasm. Just saying.
Lol

Capitals with a victory!
Holtby 👏👏
Rock Guita r
matt morris Thank you bro!
Damn backstrom, eller and holtby is so good
Go Caps! Holtby hero of the day!
More, more, more, more....c'mon Holtby. End that ridiculous Vegas Tale!!!!! And I don't want a Happily Ever After ending either.
Agreed
Hate Vegas. This isn’t cute anymore
Agreed. At the beginning of the season, I couldn't help but be happy for them, but I want it to end. S B don’t even start man. Vegas got handed that last game based on a bad call, and the Caps had just as many bad calls on them last night.
Ovechkin just showing his presence makes that much more of a difference caps in 6
Go Caps!
The whole hockey World support you!
Caps!!! Keep hittin and playin your game! Take the body! Set it up! No sharp angle shots! Lets win this cup!!! Go CAPS!!!!
I hope Kuzi is ok
It surely didn't look like it, look like his hand was broken but this are so important games that even with some painkillers Kuzi will come back if he can.
Man caps need kuzi...hope he somehow makes it back
tolik owens and they don’t call a penalty against that hit! Smh
619 OG elbowing.
619 OG if Wilson did that hit, he’d be suspended. And of course I’m gonna be whining, we just lost our top goal scorer from a cheap hit.
Looks to be a great series.. much better transition defense by the caps in game 2.. they were playing like they were possessed during that 5 on 3. Awesome game. If the caps can get games 3 and 4 at home this one will be done in 6. Capital 1 arena is going to be a madhouse come saturday.. the first finals appearance for this franchise.. it's gonna be crazy.

we got ourselves a series folks ....!!
I love Jim Hughson's voice, I wish he'd do the NHL video games again!

If it wasn't for Holtbys save ... This series could be going in a WHOLE different direction
Holtby....wow.. Caps need to give him a raise. Vegas been lighting him up with shots caps need to take some of that pressure off holtby
Congratulations Capitals! You're now more successful in this single season than in your entire 43 year history up to this point.
What an incredible save by Holtby, everybody and their mother thought that was in!!
what a game!
Caps fans - Holtby is just too good right now!
Vegas fans - Fleury is just too good right now!
Washington's first SCF game win. They were swept by Detroit in 1998.
water is wet. sky is blue
Lol
This is going to go down as the most exciting Stanley Cup finals ever
I've been a knights fan for years and im so happy to see them go to the finals
I know this comment was made 2 years ago but Vegas has only been a team since 2017 so how have you been a fan of Vegas for years...
Yes love it
Is it just me or was goal 2 by vegas not shown?
3:00
NHL is more entertaining than MLB
Caber toss is more entertaining than MLB.
Time to suspend people for diving like Neal did. Embarrassing
Three point night for Eller, good stuff!
Warms my heart! I feel like Ovi deserves it too
Neals goal was awesome
Hands Down Holtby Played the Game of his LIFE!!!!!! #CAPSIN5#
Funny that the high hit on Kuzy isn't shown
wasnt high, clean hit
Ghasper you’re kidding right? McNabb left his feet and his elbow hit Kuznetsov in the face, what about that is clean? If Tom Wilson had made that same hit, he’d be getting suspended and fined.
Aaron King dumbass it was on-time and shoulder-to-shoulder. something that dumbass wilson guy doesnt know how to do

@1:52... Fleury is gonna pull a groin muscle in this series!!! CAPS TAKE THE CUP!!!
Holtby with the save of the year!!!!
Let’s go home boys!
Wilson was getting clobbered last night. I like that

This series could go either way, screw all the haters saying Ez Vegas/Capitals win in 4. What a game, can't wait for game three in D.C.
Great save Hotby,, but Varlamov save against Crosby still the best:)
So glad that the plastic Vegas franchise is not getting the sweep at least
The Caps are stronger. Vegas can't stop them on defense already, and it'll get worse and worse for them as they wear out.
God i love the caps
Even ho the knights lost. It was a good first year run nobody expected!
Вашингтон сыграл 👍💪 парни молодцы. Финал жесткий. Вегас грязно играет. Так и стараются вывести из строя ключевых игроков Вашингтона. Счёт 1:1 Следущая игра будет напряженной и жесткой .
no idea what you guys said, but got a feeling you're happy about caps winning this game :P
basically the first guy is saying that the caps are pgood, the series is hard to win, Vegas plays dirty and Knights' players are trying to injure the caps' best players and the next game is gonna be hard to win too. The second commenter is saying that the golden knights are mostly canadian players and their playstyle is mostly canadian, whatever that means.
Canada were a bunch of goon in the past.. like the series between canada and russia during the cold war, canada won by injuring russian best players xD
But thats in the past now, thx for the translation ^^
crepper007 07 вашу надо размазывать их по бортам технично
I cant count how many penlteys there were in game 2 holy crap
That save by Holtby kept this from OT
These highlights suck. Why no replays?
Shane Cohen NHL has replays
Was expecting Vegas to possibly take this in 4, but boy the Caps have found a way to get to them. I don't think Vegas is used to being hit.
At 1:47 Thats what you call getting two-timed!
Absolutely brilliant save by Holtby! Now we have a series. Go Caps!

You had to know this was coming.
Vegas has won their last game this season...
4:17 - pay attention to the crowd during that play. I, like them, thought they scored (though I cussed) and was frozen just like they were when finding out he stopped it.
Oh Washington is in the lead? Time to give the Knights a power play.... #classicbettman
Yeah lets go caps
Vegas looks shook. This will be a great series.
pardon me sir. but the real deal james neal do not use wristers. snappers only
Vegas Golden Knights is best!
Good
Oh I thought the caps and lighting were playing to only "get sweeped in four "
Richard Kreuzburg refs will win Vegas the cup
Wow what a save ?
Caps more dangerous in a structured game
Vegas will bounce back on the road. only second loss at home all series so far them. LETS GO VEGAS!!!!!
Best of 7 man. I say caps in 7

Did TSM wonnered ?
Holtby=MVP
Trying earning a cup like everyone else Vegas. Buying a winner, what a joke.
amarilloshim if they win I’m done watching hockey
I cheered for Knights more, but they didn't deserve to win after having over a minute of 5 on 3 and yet couldn't score.
NHL lore: The Stop
:30 tripping not called, RIGGED.
NHL>NBA, basketball fans have to watch Warriors vs. Cavs again
I love Fleury but can someone with actual hockey/goaltending knowledge explain to me why he sells out on the shot so hard?
"Мертвую'" вытянул Холтби...
Washington is to much for Vegas. Go Washington go.
All this "save of the century" bullshit is getting annoying. It was a routine layup and Tuch completely blew it.
Shut up
Richard Kreuzburg so many times the goalie has done the exact same thing holtby did in an attempt to save, but the shooter actually elevates the puck and scores on the open net. no one says the goalie did anything amazing there do they?
This could go 7
The amount of unjustifiable violence and furiousness by both teams in Game 2 chips away at my love for hockey. this isn't about exceptional talent and determination it's about eliminating each others players from the line up. And the NHL and the Players Associations have the balls to have a hissy fit every time a player suffers a concussion or plays with long term injuries.
truthordarequestions start watching another sport please
I intend too, today's NHL pay to win attitude sickens me.
Good man
Lots of great hockey on these games.
