Jimmy's singing has tailed off a bit since then but his guitar playing has grown by leaps and bounds. He was great back then but today he is a monster! He still gigs all over the place. Why he isn't as acclaimed as Clapton or SRV I'll never know. Go see him live!
Saw the Hawks the House of Blues in Boston in the early 90's. It was Mark Wenner's birthday, and since a a guy I knew was a friend of Marks, They invited me upstairs for a piece of cake. True story! Thackery was no longer the lead- but I've seen the man do his stuff at Johnny D's, Davis SQ. Somerville, MA -many times- including this song!
You might remember to say that the lead guitarist was Jimmy Thackery now with the "Drivers" It was HIS band just as much as the original Fleetwood Mac was Peter Green's band before they became a commercial sellout. And Jimmy does occasionally play this song with the Drivers...
actually, the song I was wanting was from the Jacks and Kings album when they got to cut several songs with Muddya Waters backing band. I found since thie last post that Mark Wenner has re-released nearly everything on CD and is available on the Nighthawks Official website at reasonable prices
Still available on vinyl - google it to see - sorry I can't help as yet with the uploading of the other tracks - I do not have a record player either - Good Luck

wow, if there is any way you could upload any other songs from this album, it would be great. The last time I checked it has not been re-released to disc, can't find it on vinyl and I don't have a record player anymore. Especially the cuts with Primetime when he was still singing with them
