Ok, I've been watching your Stay on RUclips for a while now, but it's only now that I'm here writing a comment. Know that there are people from other countries watching your work, like me! Keep it up! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷!
Now that you're into designing Western trains, I feel like the Jupiter and the No. 119 from the Transcontinental Railroad would be a great future build
It should be noted that calling this "western" is stretching it somewhat. The quintessential "wild west" steam locomotive type is the "American type" 440, with bright colors, intricate flourishes on the cab and tender, etc. This would be the most common type of engine from around the 1860s to 1890. This more resembles a late 1890s to around 1920 locomotive, with no fancy decoration, just a flat black.
I have no critiques or issues, you have truly mastered the art of building steam locomotives! :3 Now... I dare you to build the Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive! >:P
I could be wrong, but I think I saw the “glue” effect on blocks as you built the caboose. Is this a setting or mod that enables automatic gluing of components so you don’t need to capture them after building? If so, can you provide a link or make a comment in future tutorial so we can add this to our mod packs?
Amazing video, i love the detail of the locomotive and the coaches btw 1:23 does the locomotives needs a rear boogie? Cause in real life, wild west locos didn't have a rear boogie (ai think in 1910s the locomotives had a rear boogie) Anyway, can you build the LNER A1 Peppercorn "Tornado" (simply known as The Tornado) pleaseeee Cause I can have both LNER brothers, the Scotsman and the Tornado And maybe also Blue Peter and Sir Nigel Gresley (LNER A2 Peppercorn and LNER A4)
Hey man I know you must get this a lot but I love your videos and you are incredibly underrated. I have a question how do you make such good videos? Your editing software and the ideas you come up with. As a beginner content creator I would love to learn more about
Hey, this train looks great and it reminds me of The Lone Ranger movie and other wild west movie that are included wild west trains but that is great looking, Max. Keep up with it but how about you make a face reveal video pls
Any chance you'll make your schematics compatible with the forge version of create would love to add this to my ATM9 world as we have a wild western themed town on the server I play on and it's missing a passenger train
Could you make a lone stubby one, not a medium or long one that you have here? I’m making a 1931 map currently, so it will or would help me out. Cheers!
Hello! Please tell me how to solve the problem when there are several trains (in my case, 4 trams) and each runs on schedule. At that moment, when they are all in one place, it starts to lag a lot and the trains start to slow down and behave strangely. Please help me solve this problem) Thank you)
Once again thanks for an awesome Tutorial. Also if you don’t mind me asking but is there a limit to how many Cars you can add to your train behind the Tender of the locomotive?
@@darthgodzilla66 Oh and I forgot, there's also a maximum block contraption amount you have to consider but you can change that number in the config, then after that it's the PC.
What locomotive did you use for reference for this? I suspect it was Sierra no 3, that is, the engine that started in Back to the Future. It's worth noting that while your loco build is really cool, no problems there, this type of loco was more from the late 1890s to like 1910. The quintessential "wild west" locomotive, if anyone is wondering, is the "American type" 4-4-0, that is, four small leading wheels, four large drivers, and no trailing wheels. This type of loco was more often finely decorated, with bright colors like red and blue, intricate accents on the cab and tender, and similarly painted "box" headlights. These were the most common locomotives in that period from 1869-1890 that most people think of as the "wild west." As time went on, locomotive designs improved, adding more driving wheels, and railroad companies stopped using the locomotives as advertisements really, and everything began to default to black. But yeah, again, the build is great, just clarifying some categorical stuff how people tend to lump in early 20th century locos into the wild west (I think mostly because they've been used in so many movies, because very few locomotives from the 19th century survive to use in films).
The shape of the loco and the number plaque is definitely Sierra no.3 but the colour and everything I tried to balance a lot of reference in to it, whether it's real train or fictional alike.
A Japanese train like the Sunrise Izumo/Seto
would be really cool to see since they have a double decker configuration
