I may not be a die hard fan of "actor Varun" but I genuinely love "the person Varun". He knows that he's flawed in acting but he's not unrealistically boastful of his success. He's so down to earth & it shows in his eyes. He has that hunger to keep learning & getting better with time. Also he's very respectful & friendly towards her female costars :)

Anushka Sharma is definitely one of the brightest and most beautiful, inside and out, actresses of Bollywood. I'm saying this not by degrading anyone but I've seen so many interviews and so many movies but none and nothing has ever impressed and touched me as her words and views have. A truly brilliant woman! And Varun Dhawan, this guy has my heart. What a person! Such honesty and genuineness in a person so famous and known is very rare to see. Universe bless you both!

Varun Dhawan is hated for no reason. He is a good actor. U can't expect him to do experimental movies only at the start of the career. He is only ten films old. And in those ten films he did Badlapur and October.. that's a great thing. He needs to establish himself in all kinds of genres give him a break dude. He is a very genuine guy.

Great interview FC! Interesting point at 24:35, when Anushka mentions that it takes guts to make a move like that. Completely agree with it, but the truth is he is from a film family and money wise, connection wise, he can fall back and recover still. A newcomer doesn't have that privilege and that failure can negatively affect his/her career with no new producers backing since he/she are new and an unknown face.

I genuinely loved this interview. A solo interview is easier in a way, it's one person putting forth their thoughts but for two people to speak like this, it's absolutely a delight to watch. I'm not a Varun Dhawan fan in the sense that I don't actively seek out his movies, forget about interviews, but I absolutely loved him here. This is my first Varun Dhawan interview so good for me! His sense of humour, good lord!

one of the most interesting conversations you guys have put out recently. so much respect for anushka and varun and their takes on feminism in the industry. i already adore both of them individually, and my respect for them after this just blew through the roof. the respect they have for each other, as varun was talking about, is totally palpable, and i can already see it in mamta and mauji in the trailers and clips that have come out so far. love them together, on screen and off. cannot wait for sui dhaaga.

Such a brilliant interview.Speaking out about issues that no other actors are ready to admit exist and this just goes to show how much power the male actor has to change things for the better for their female counter parts but not everyone bothers to exercise that power as long as they are getting what they want.
