I’m upset that I didn’t see this video sooner because I need to discuss something important that probably no one else has seen or remembers but the part about gardening naked reminded me of a magazine I had in the early to mid 00s It was a story on JLo and I’ll never forget how she talked about how close and casual she is with her family. So much so that they eat their meals naked together and I thought that was the wildest thing I’d ever read I’ve tried to google this over the years to see if anyone else remembers this but I can’t find anything. It was in like cosmo/cosmogirl or something like that but this is a vital piece of lost media that we as a society never got to properly lose our minds over seeing as social media was still in its infancy

Omg I used to get my husband Maxim and eventually GQ subscriptions even though I’d read them first, lol. It’s weird because I’ve been a feminist my entire life but I just enjoyed the stupidity and looking at the girls. Maxim got old and I think they went under, but GQ really stepped their game up with great political articles and just a lot of interesting things to read. We divorced after 18 years but I got GQ for myself until the editor changed and it focused more on just fashion. I loved Vanity Fair magazine so much until I couldn’t read it anymore due to a brain disease. I spent so much money on magazines but they were just full (VF and then GQ in the later 00’s) of great journalism perfect for my curiosity and I learned so much about things I didn’t think I’d care to read about. There was just something exciting about drinking some tea and snuggling in with a magazine or book. Thanks for the fun look back!
It was such a good day when the new issue of your favourite magazines came out! I miss it but I stopped buying them 10 years ago because it seemed a waste of money when everything's on the internet. I loved ripping out pages and putting them on my wall and school books. The Calvin Klein perfume ads with Kate Moss were so pretty. I want to buy a magazine for old times sake now.
