Since that is dependent on your hook yarn and personal tension, I would suggest that you make a chain of about 9 inches for an 8 inch scarf. (It will squish up a little.) There are two different hdc on my channel. If this one biases too much for you, try the other one here: ruclips.net/video/K3KH1R9a0Fg/видео.html
Hi Kim, I love your video tutorials on RUclips and I'm trying out the tunisian hdc stitch for the first time this morning. I want to make a hat using this stitch but I want to avoid having to sew a seam to close the hat from top to bottom. I've also discovered the tunisian loop method which allows me to use a cabled tunisian hook (with a cord on the end) and I don't have to sew this seam up (ruclips.net/video/m0u3MEtTPtQ/видео.html ). But when I tried tunisian hdc with this loop method, my stitches were off (I didn't end up with 3 loops left on hook at the end of the return pass). Do you know how to make a hat with tunisian hdc and the loop method? Or, do you know of a video showing this? I've searched Google, youtube, Ravelry and Pinterest but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Sorry for this extra long question. Thank you. :) Lee Ann H
I haven't tried it in the round yet, so I'm not sure. There are two different thdc on my channel and one of them may work better than the other. It's not a well-known stitch. I haven't used it in any patterns.
Why didn't you start from the very beginning? You started the video and the chain was already created, but we want to see how you create the chain from nothing.
She started with the chain already made because the chain is standard across all patterns. If you don’t know how to make a chain, watch any video. After awhile, you’ll understand that it gets boring watching someone make a standard chain Every. Single. Time. I for one am grateful she didn’t make me sit watching her make a chain.
I do enjoy the projects its just too much talking time filler I feel that a q & a is where you should do your explaining or something like that. I'd prefer if you would just show the the stitches w/o commentary and show the swatch to completion instead then id probably subscribe but I do enjoy the projects you do. I mostly spend most my time fast forwarding and missing a step.😮😤
So simple and great;)
Wow! Thank you for this🧶👍
thanks Kim for sharing this unique Tunisian stitch I will have to try it
👍♥️♥️♥️Thank you. From. Canada. P.Q
Do you have a video on how to cast off on this pattern
THANKS for sharing cause I had a problem with curling. Love the video.
How much do you chain for a scarf
