  • In this video I show what photographic set-up I need to film a time-lapse sequence of a Plant growing outside under the sun in my herb and veggie garden. Watching plants grow is very satisfying. See how they react to the day and the night.
    This specific plant is being filmed for a full episode on the subject which is due for release in May next year (after harvest).
    I am licensed to grow this plant for research & educational purposes and we are proud to introduce The Northern Rivers Hemp Coop to www.theweedygarden.com
    Thanks for watching

    Hi Folks. I uploaded a version of this video yesterday but RUclips restricted it, I think because of the thumbnail. So here it is again. Let`s hope it stays this time 🙂

      RUclips doesn’t like hemp or canabis content (spelt wrong on purpose) I really enjoy your content and was super excited when I saw you had posted, unfortunately that was around 1am my time in the USA and your video was age restricted when I woke up! Thank you for trying to share the video again and for all the content you make!

      I was thinking the same, i noticed that you tube WILL NOT put videos in my recommended that have anything to do with Cannabis
      and then i realized that you uploaded a video but it didn't come up because it had "hemp" in it.

    Wow, setting up a time-lapse rig for that length of time takes some serious planning and weather-proofing! I'm constantly amazed at how water manages to find its way into everything electrical left outside, grrr, so appreciate all tips you've shown to prevent that. Good luck, I'm really looking forward to seeing the final result.

    I think it's great that you mentioned ASA when discussing your settings, ah the old film days :) today, it's ISO. One of my viewers sent me to check in on this one, and I'm glad I did. I hope all the work was worth the final result. It's great that you have a camera that you can leave set up for the duration, does the plastic bag being black not cause intense heat during mid-day? I hope it progresses flawlessly, can you wirelessly collect photos while it's writing to the card so you can check the progress without opening the camera body? Thanks for sharing.

    Wow!!! Just WOW!! I am about 1/2 notch above amateur photographer simply because I have been paid for a fair bit of architectural photography and videography. Your skill and patience is a whole universe above what I will ever achieve! As a gardener as well following you is truly a highlight every time you publish something! Thank you for sharing all this. Can’t wait for the final result next year!!
    Oh, also, thank you for re-releasing this video. The restriction was hilarious, though!
    QUESTION: it would be interesting to see if the swaying on the seedling is connected to anything like position of sun or tidal forces of the moon and/or sea.

    Enjoyed this video immensely! Most people don't know that plants 'sleep' just like we humans. In part...this video proves that idea. Thanks for sharing! Cheers...

    • @TheWeedyGarden
      @TheWeedyGarden  7 месяцев назад +2

      Yes. It does look like it is sleeping, but I think it is just sending it’s energy underground. I think if I did a shot where you could see the roots, I think it would show that the roots grow when the leaves rest…maybe…🎥

    • @ross6343
      @ross6343 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheWeedyGarden The Japanese have done extensive research on plant sleeping habits - fascinating stuff. As to sending growing energy down to the roots...I'd have to think on that one...although me thinks a photographer with your skill set(s) might could figure out a way to check when plant root growth happens [I'm thinking something like the ant tunnel system encased in glass I had as a young lad waaaaay back in the day]. Anyhoo...about the human endocannabinoid system [CB 1 and CB 2 receptors, etc.]...VERY fascinating ongoing research that basically proves what the Chinese discovered many centuries ago. Looking forward to your followup video(s) on your hemp growing project! Cheers...

    Fascinating! I enjoyed this video about setting up for your photos. I think I may have mentioned this before but I will do it again. Here in the state of Arkansas USA, we have a nature photographer by the name of Tim Ernst. Before the pandemic he would go from place to place doing slide shows. He would answer questions on how he took the photos and locations. Selling his books and other products. We tried to see the show every year for several years. I believe that the show have all stopped since Covid. I miss seeing his shows. We do have several of his books. We have talked about going to his studio, maybe this year we can. And you can be assured that I will tell him about you! Thank you for what you do. I am not a photographer just like to know how things are done! Till next time. Thanks again.

Like something we've done forever... or, maybe it's the thc in the joint I just smoked... lol, seriously though, I adore both plants.
    The seeds of the hemp plant are absolutely delicious!! and one of my favorites of the "super foods".

    I studied photography over 10 years ago but my self esteem is lacking so I didn't really persue a career in it. I wish I had a mentor like you to teach me so I could feel confident in my photography and myself. I love your approach and it's great that you are showing this side and process. ❤❤❤
