Yes most of the time… but there’s also very dumb ways to ‘manually’ defend at the moment, sprinting back at Usain Bolt speed with anyone and just smashing into the back of players/doing some dumb tackle from behind… or people spamming slide tackles… they are the only ways to manually defend effectively right now
It like 95% AI defending n 5% manual...you get players second man press you with AI all thru midfielder n don't even get punished.. It like fc 25 with little better dribbling
It’s way better to defend with AI it’s stupid, I manually defend out of respect for people who also do. If I’m up against some rat refusing to manual defend I’ll just do the same but I always start with manual.
At this point. If EA said they can revert the game back to the week 1 gameplay we had but in order to do that we lose everything so far in fut (basically a hard reset) i’d happily take it

Left it alone this year……couldn’t be arsed to go back to getting excited about 2x 83+ pack after opening 97+ icon packs days earlier on FC25…….its always essentially the same game, been playing since start of FUT and honestly the 17 version was superior to any version since…….with all the untradeable packs and complete destruction of the transfer market it’s been regressing for years ………the massive annoyance being it should never have been like this 😔
Nick, The best are still the best this year, but I'm not in that class, just an above avg player and here's my problem with this game. I'll make this short. Two scenarios, I go down 1-0 and then go up two goals with three unanswered 3-1, I go up 3-0 in the second scenario. In every other FIFA going back to grad school when I started playing this f-ing game, it's game over. The game has always helped one side at all times but this year it is overdone. For the players that are used to getting a lead and chillin, if you don't continue to score the game will get you. Everything turns against you, and it doesn't matter that you were up 3 in the 70th min dominating. Your defenders are running on skates and the ball is finding a way into your net.
The main problem is the servers and input delay. No matter how many changes to gameplay they make, it won't matter when most of the time the game is unplayable in terms of being laggy and delayed. It's crazy how the input delay problem being improved was one of the main pitches when FC 26 was being pitched to the public before release, yet the input delay is still horrific for many people.
That's a myth. That server paradigm simply isn't true. EA must be pleased people are creating excuses for them. I play offline and I experienced the same nonsense.

I play this game on PC. I love the gameplay for the most part because I feel like when I lose it is a skill issue. But getting 11 wins in champs and my best pull being a 87 rated fodder card and 1 totw is so demoralizing when I see some credit card kids on twitter pulling half the promo out of a store pack. They’re treating this game like it’s FTP.
Man the recent patch has cooked me, I have wired internet and the worse latency I ever get is maybe 10ms, why does it take 2 secs to shoot and pass for me, its nonsense.
Just deleted it off my PS5. Had a great team and like 500k coins saved up, but at some point it just stopped being fun. I’m a Div 4 guy, nothing special, usually finished around 9/6 in Champs - not a pro by any means, just someone who pre-ordered and played for hours every day since release. And every day I’d log in excited, then end up wasting hours getting frustrated instead of enjoying myself. The recent patches were the last straw… it honestly feels like they completely ruined the game. At the end of the day, a game should make you happy, not stressed.

Nick i swear to god.. i have a 7800x3d with a 5080. Living next to the ea servers in germany. And i have massive delay problems. Passes are delays. Skill moves sometimes dont register. Shots are delayed. What are u yapping abt pc players have no delay. Every1 i know is pc here and complains. Wdymmm
That’s what I’m saying. The game’s actually worse on PC in my opinion. Cheaters, input delay, heavy lags, having to constantly tweak your PC and game settings. It’s actually a mess on PC
icl this game is just messed up then cuz ive got a rayzen 5 5600G 16 ram etc.. (no gpu its integrated) and i legit play normally no lag no nothing but suddenly sometimes i keep lagging for no reason
I haven’t bought the game this year. The fact that last year you’d submit an SBC just to tell you it failed and they change the formation, that never being patched is ridiculous.
They punish people taking coin sponsors instead of making coins more accessible in their game which will kill that market lol. Like let us get coins by grinding the game.
I knew all of this would happen. That’s why I didn’t even bother buying FC26 and waited until November to see the state of the game. And yes, I predicted it exactly just like everyone else could. This franchise is honestly finished. FUT as a concept has become predictable and outdated under EA. The series will never grow, adapt, or bring that “wow” feeling anymore, simply because EA isn’t innovative enough to make FUT exciting again. The servers are always terrible, so gameplay barely matters. And the content has become incredibly stale. I’ve been following FUT a bit this year, but those minor promos are the same every single year, and the major promos are just as repetitive. It’s all so predictable and boring. I probably won’t even bother with FC/FUT under EA anymore. FC25 will probably be my last for a while.
If only the addicts that make up the majority of this community would do the same. Instead, they keep buying the game and spend money on points and EA couldn't be happier putting out literal 💩 that makes them billions every year while keeping costs as low as possible

@runeops1193 Yeah, FC26 is already half the price and the game came out only two months ago. EA still asking 100 dollars for the Ultimate Edition every year is diabolical. It should be free like Fortnite if they want to continue down this path of store packs. Otherwise, it’s never worth it. I don’t even think 40 dollars is justified for the same crap every year, especially when you know everything resets. That’s even worse than Fortnite, where at least you keep the same items for years (until they eventually shut the game down, if that time ever comes).
The game just isn’t fun for casuals anymore. It seems like every single player is playing like they never go outdoors and their life depends on it. As an adult now with a job, the last thing I want to do when I get home is play a game that is no fun and treated as life or death by the player base.
I think what Nick says is absolutely true. I’ve been on console my whole life - I can’t afford a PC. When the gameplay is good (PS5 version, which is probably like 10% of what PC players get), I genuinely have fun every time. I win the games I should win, I lose some, and I’m still happy. But when the gameplay is bad on console - which is 95% of the time - I fucking hate my life playing this game, even if I win. EA is killing their own game by ignoring this issue and not fixing it. And I can assure you: 95% of the player base is on console. They can patch all they want, add all the mechanics they want - we’re never going to experience them. Take the jockey patch for example: When the gameplay is good, you can actually feel it. When it’s bad, everything they do is void. This inconsistent gameplay has been a thing since they added FUT Champs. You could feel it even more if you played on far servers, but not many people noticed. I stopped playing after FIFA 20. I came back this year hoping they’d finally fix this shit, but they lied. Bottom line: When gameplay is good → the game is insanely fun. When gameplay is bad (most of the time) → it’s worse than FIFA 20. I’m at a point where I don’t even blame the rats who sit on their CDMs the whole game. I’m used to manual defending, and I’m great at it when gameplay is good. But otherwise? You might as well switch to the moon and back - you’re not switching to the player you want. Your defenders feel like trucks turning, your players feel like bronzes, and attacking AI becomes completely void. You literally have to player-lock everything because every player just stands there or makes the dumbest runs imaginable. Yeah, the menus are cool and whatever, but wtf am I grinding for? To get players? To do WHAT with them? I can’t even use them properly - they all feel like bronzes anyway. Nobody would care about content if the gameplay worked, because people could actually play the game. I’m at a point where I play one game a day, rage quit, and turn off my console immediately. This shit is hell to play. I don’t want to do league SBCs or bronze packs - I want to play the fucking game I paid 100 bucks for, not sit in menus all day and hate my life every time I load into a match. Bottom line: If they gave us the PC version of the game, I promise you 80% of the crying would stop.
Bro I have a great pc. Great internet and ethernet cable and the game is still shit 90% of the time. I get mad gameplay almost every session I make on the game. Its about the code of the game or the servers, simple as that. It sucks on console and pc bro, just depends on each individuals situation

I bought 26 from positive reviews through the Beta program, i played the first week then had to go on a work trip for a month. Came back this week and i cant believe the BS thats happened! This game is an absolute joke and i wish i never bothered. Ive gave my account to my little nephew to play. Im done for this year.

For the first time I left FIFA for another game. I’m playing Battlefield 6 now, and the relief of playing is enormous. No more pay to win, no more weekly patches, no more time consuming objectives. Just play and have a blast.

I love when the most effective method of defending is not touching your defenders, leading to me getting proper hate messages for letting the AI defend while my opponent fidget spins on the edge of my box - if I control the defender I’m putting myself at a disadvantage, so what’s the point in controlling my defenders? Gameplay stinks
That point about the pc hackers and the servers hit the nail on the head. I also feel like when you've been hacked your players continue playing sluggish or the way the hackers hacked you for several games after that, which adds to the problem.
Respectfully instead of dropping a million store packs and forcing the people to the market, they should actually make a good game where everyone rushes to buy the game cause it feels like the game we played as kids. Isn’t that what fortnite did? A free game? You only had to buy the battlepass once and never had to put money in the game again. I quit this year because I cant play enough hours per day, and all players I buy directly losing so much value, if you dont play for a week your team lost half the value thats unacceptable, no casual gamer this game only for people which can play 5 hours a day.

He was so on point about cross play. I play both on pc n ps5. Game play literally feels same. Yes sure it probably feels faster for streamers who have good fiber internet n live close to servers. Little bit of difference matters n probably feels massive to them. To me they are both delayed n can not tell difference. If anything I lag more on pc because I end up playing with ppl like 10-15 hrs away because everyone has cross play off n not enough ppl play on pc.
What they need to fix - -have better Rivals and Champs rewards. -The game freezing when changing lineups. -Hackers. - And the ability to have full control of your player when defending. For example Im strafing and I see the opponent about to go left and I move my analog to go left right away but because I’m too close to the opponent or if the opponent does a skill move it makes my guy go right. - Right analog switching needs to improve - AI R1 defending. If I’m holding R1 and my AI is right next to the guy with the ball while I’m guarding the threat my AI should be able to poke the ball. On console you cant react too fast with your players because it bugs out and is not responsive. Console needs 120hz its 2025
Dude it's all about EA being in control. Fact is they and only they can adjust things like defensive width, how many players attack/defend corners. I noticed they got in game tactics but you can only pick them when they make them available for suggestions? Really that's how much control and interference they want they are only enabling you to choose your in game tactics when they want you to and then they will pick the ones you can have. It's symbolic of what they are all about
So the issue is that EA have said Dynamic sliders/Script/DDA doesnt exist but PC hackers and hacks now show that they do so if EA admit that hackers can on real time adjust their sliders throughtout the game that script also exists. Ive seen examples where PC hacker was live on Tiktok, All sliders set to 100, By half time his sliders were at 90 meaning the game had adjusted his sliders down by 10 to allow the losing player to score a halftime goal. If all slidwrs were on 50 then yours would be on 40 and the opponant scores......But EA have gone to court saying that it doesnt happen so going after hackers would hurt them aswell
You’re absolutely right nick. It’s all about the gameplay and the responsiveness. It’s fun to play if it’s responsive. but sadly 99% of the time it’s not. Their no. 1 priority should be to get rid of the delay. The success of this game stands and falls with it.
I just want to play a game online and feel like I'm playing against a human opponent. Online at the moment feels like I'm playing squad battles on ultimate difficulty. I want human error to be what decides my wins and losses that's fun and a learning curve.

The problem EA has is they keep changing things that we don't want changed or don't need to be changed and keeping the things that need chaniging/we want changed the same.
From someone who used to go 40-0, 30-0, 20-0. To now going 13-2 on average. I didn’t even care about not going 15-0 because the game at the start was so fun. I didn’t care about defending, it felt like a video game (which it is). I don’t care about realism to an extent. Minute they buffed defending and made it challenging to score I stopped playing completely. I spent $100 on a game to play for a week && I’ll probably never play it again. It is what it is, I think the game will never be the same
@Amzyyyes when they fixed the CPU for "carreer mode" that affected Squad Battles too, in that patch the AI got boosted for sure! At the start when u won the ball, u didnt lose it immediately by an interception of the AI or by immediate press from AI. Now it is pingpong again if u just win the ball. Also the passing is less accurate after all these patches. Only thing they needed to fix at the start where: -kickoffs; like how they are now is good -corners -rainbow flick volleys -buff the manual defending a bit like they did for jockeying -let the defends be a bit more compact
In my opinion the thing that killed this game first and foremost is the change they made to the chemistry system and the position system. The gameplay has always had issues with delay and unresponsiveness, that hasn't changed, the promos have always been meh with only a couple bangers a year, that hasn't changed either, but the thing that was the most fun for me always was building new teams, getting creative with the links to get full chem, even something as dumb as having the satisfaction of symmetric links in my team, putting strikers at cdm so they get a link to the cbs so I get my chemistry and then changing the formation in game and just trying out new teams and new players constantly, that's what was fun about this game and that's what caused the game to lose it's spark imo
I don’t know man I feel alone in disagreeing a lot. I have been playing the game for a very very long time. I have never been as good as AA9 or Nick, but it is not true that just the Fortnite and COD dudes are around for a month, complaining and that they aren’t the real fanbase. People in Div 1 or doing 15-0 or close to that aren’t the majority. If I want to win a game with a clean sheet that should happen with a little bit more ease instead you get 5-4 games which is a joke. Getting closer to real life would be cool without going too overboard with it. I agree it is a videogame but I do want some more realism. I also think they should put great objectives for the women’s cards and keep the genders separate. Being able to play with an icon and a current player is cool because you could try to imsgine what it could be like if they play together. I don’t mind r1 dribbling at all though
Changing the game through patches so we can keep playing and figure out what works is actually not a horrible idea, but this would only work if gameplay/servers were responsive for everyone or the majority of players.
I think the "patches" happen to cover up the fact they are taking off servers to boost another game. Ones that are more likely to succeed than fc. So we just think it's bad patches but it's actually them taking servers away thus slower menu at reset n sluggish gameplay

Early days of FUT were simple BUT gameplay was fun to play and use the players you pack ! As of right now, i played the game a few weeks and was bored of it. Dont say im getting old cause im addcited to football ! I just want a game like FIFA 17 that was SOO fun to play ! My boys all played it ! NOW....none of us are playing FC 26...sad times 😢
Fix hackers, fix menus, fix delay/servers, stop the Dda script where if another player has a worst team they get all the luck, turn down the ai defending. Doing these 5 things would literally make the game good again

Gameplay wise he makes good points, though the two odd things were him talking so much about shareplay and the KSI/sidemen/coin situation. I feel like his claim about shareplay ruining everything because we are exposed to people packing great cards is a moot point because we would have just seen that due to youtube or people posting pictures on social media? I didn't really get that. For the second part, I almost felt like a therapist listening to him talking so much about the coin situation/how he had a falling off with that group of OG fifa players. Like, I feel really bad, and it's been like, a decade? It kind of pained me in a way to listen to it and I just feel like maybe he regretted that decision and is still trying to live with it, though I hope I'm wrong. I did not like expect that out of a video focused on how EA has screwed up their game once again for like the 8th year in a row.
I have literally just left my last game and deleted the game, I lasted longer playing last year I think. This game has been destroyed by a company that shows time and time again that they simply can not get anything right, playing on console is impossible the delay is simply too much to handle.
Is it just me or did so much change after the most recent patch? (Stuff that they didn’t say they’d change - ie live tuning). The game is literally unplayable right now, passing is so bad, so many weird emphasis touches constantly, defenders are rapid now and it’s so easy for people to just run up to your player from behind and just do some dumb tackle or smash into your player and get the ball… I don’t see many people talking about this, but the changes when I jumped on after the last patch were ridiculous and incredibly noticeable
You wasted your money anyways by buying the game in the first place. It was very predictable that this would be the same every year. People shouldn’t really care about the fancy stuff EA always say. They never fix and innovate anything…

Ever since that new patch came out, Manager mode has been awful for me. When my team scores, the instant replay only shows the middle of the pitch no players nothing just a blank mid pitch. I go to highlighters to try to see a replay. Let’s say my player is Asian or Caucasian the icon on the left where is shows who scored is a whole different player like they show an African American player who’s never on the team. The amount of bugs is crazy. They don’t even say my team’s name on the screen nothing they just shows “custom with codes” on it. Don’t get me started with the script. They purposely make my players miss goals on tactical view just so the other team win and it’s some bs always It’s really bad. Career mode? don’t even get me started. Like they tried so hard to make it realistic, but they failed miserably. Ea is like call of duty. Just make pay to win stuff like UT cards. It’s crazy.
When a relegation team beats a league dominating team in real life. The relegation team deserved it because they are actually professionals at football. In FIFA/FC a beginner can be really bad at the game and constantly beat opponents better than them just because of the AI defending for them so they don't actually earn the win. It's basically given to them through false prentenses.

This is just the trend with all the sell out terrible game companies. My favourite 3 games of all time: R6, Fifa/FC and Rocket League. Ubisoft, Epic and EA have completely and utterly swept the core playerbase under the bus to cater to fair weather kids. I have about 2-3 hours i can dedicate to gaming these days and I'm so sad that i barely can play my three favourite games. They're still big, no queues or nothing but they're just so much worse than they were acouple years ago.

@Gwalsh94-mz2lj there’s a reason for that PC players will have programs to input enough movement to not get kicked (for example, spamming fake shots) just to get evolutions or objectives done. You can encounter 3 of them in one game for example. And for the normal players, they may play in groups of 3 or 4, limiting your chance of matching with them Maybe turning off crossplay works. I’m not sure. But unlike squad battles where you have to win, they only have to stay in the game to get the rewards
I think for me the issue with the original game was that cbs needed anticipate base in order to tackle as it was so open. All they had to do to fix that was release promo cards with it and evos to give it to players
Back then it felt like you could break down even the most park the bus players. Now it feels like the attacking team gets punished for attacking, the meta low block park the bus tactics in the most recent fc games is terrible that’s why even as someone who likes realistic football games was enjoying the fast paced football at the beginning of this game.

Yes most of the time… but there’s also very dumb ways to ‘manually’ defend at the moment, sprinting back at Usain Bolt speed with anyone and just smashing into the back of players/doing some dumb tackle from behind… or people spamming slide tackles… they are the only ways to manually defend effectively right now
no point trying to tackle with the amount of bouncebacks this patch either, just spam A barges until you get the ball lol

Left it alone this year……couldn’t be arsed to go back to getting excited about 2x 83+ pack after opening 97+ icon packs days earlier on FC25…….its always essentially the same game, been playing since start of FUT and honestly the 17 version was superior to any version since…….with all the untradeable packs and complete destruction of the transfer market it’s been regressing for years ………the massive annoyance being it should never have been like this 😔

Nick, The best are still the best this year, but I'm not in that class, just an above avg player and here's my problem with this game. I'll make this short. Two scenarios, I go down 1-0 and then go up two goals with three unanswered 3-1, I go up 3-0 in the second scenario. In every other FIFA going back to grad school when I started playing this f-ing game, it's game over. The game has always helped one side at all times but this year it is overdone. For the players that are used to getting a lead and chillin, if you don't continue to score the game will get you. Everything turns against you, and it doesn't matter that you were up 3 in the 70th min dominating. Your defenders are running on skates and the ball is finding a way into your net.
The main problem is the servers and input delay. No matter how many changes to gameplay they make, it won't matter when most of the time the game is unplayable in terms of being laggy and delayed. It's crazy how the input delay problem being improved was one of the main pitches when FC 26 was being pitched to the public before release, yet the input delay is still horrific for many people.

I play this game on PC. I love the gameplay for the most part because I feel like when I lose it is a skill issue. Man the recent patch has cooked me, I have wired internet and the worse latency I ever get is maybe 10ms, why does it take 2 secs to shoot and pass for me, its nonsense.
Just deleted it off my PS5. Had a great team and like 500k coins saved up, but at some point it just stopped being fun. I’m a Div 4 guy, nothing special, usually finished around 9/6 in Champs - not a pro by any means, just someone who pre-ordered and played for hours every day since release.
And every day I’d log in excited, then end up wasting hours getting frustrated instead of enjoying myself. The recent patches were the last straw… it honestly feels like they completely ruined the game. At the end of the day, a game should make you happy, not stressed.

I knew all of this would happen. That’s why I didn’t even bother buying FC26 and waited until November to see the state of the game. And yes, I predicted it exactly just like everyone else could. This franchise is honestly finished. FUT as a concept has become predictable and outdated under EA. The series will never grow, adapt, or bring that “wow” feeling anymore, simply because EA isn’t innovative enough to make FUT exciting again.
The servers are always terrible, so gameplay barely matters. And the content has become incredibly stale. I’ve been following FUT a bit this year, but those minor promos are the same every single year, and the major promos are just as repetitive. It’s all so predictable and boring. I probably won’t even bother with FC/FUT under EA anymore. FC25 will probably be my last for a while.
If only the addicts that make up the majority of this community would do the same.

It should be free like Fortnite if they want to continue down this path of store packs. Otherwise, it’s never worth it. That’s even worse than Fortnite, where at least you keep the same items for years (until they eventually shut the game down, if that time ever comes).
The game just isn’t fun for casuals anymore. It seems like every single player is playing like they never go outdoors and their life depends on it. As an adult now with a job, the last thing I want to do when I get home is play a game that is no fun and treated as life or death by the player base.
I think what Nick says is absolutely true. I’ve been on console my whole life - I can’t afford a PC. When the gameplay is good (PS5 version, which is probably like 10% of what PC players get), I genuinely have fun every time. I win the games I should win, I lose some, and I’m still happy.
But when the gameplay is bad on console - which is 95% of the time - I fucking hate my life playing this game, even if I win.
EA is killing their own game by ignoring this issue and not fixing it. And I can assure you: 95% of the player base is on console. They can patch all they want, add all the mechanics they want - we’re never going to experience them.
Take the jockey patch for example:
When the gameplay is good, you can actually feel it.
When it’s bad, everything they do is void.
This inconsistent gameplay has been a thing since they added FUT Champs. You could feel it even more if you played on far servers, but not many people noticed. I stopped playing after FIFA 20. I came back this year hoping they’d finally fix this shit, but they lied.
Bottom line:
When gameplay is good → the game is insanely fun.
When gameplay is bad (most of the time) → it’s worse than FIFA 20.
I’m at a point where I don’t even blame the rats who sit on their CDMs the whole game. I’m used to manual defending, and I’m great at it when gameplay is good. But otherwise? You might as well switch to the moon and back - you’re not switching to the player you want. Your defenders feel like trucks turning, your players feel like bronzes, and attacking AI becomes completely void.
You literally have to player-lock everything because every player just stands there or makes the dumbest runs imaginable.

He was so on point about cross play. I play both on pc n ps5. Game play literally feels same. Yes sure it probably feels faster for streamers who have good fiber internet n live close to servers. Little bit of difference matters n probably feels massive to them. To me they are both delayed n can not tell difference. If anything I lag more on pc because I end up playing with ppl like 10-15 hrs away because everyone has cross play off n not enough ppl play on pc.
What they need to fix -
-have better Rivals and Champs rewards.
-The game freezing when changing lineups.
-Hackers.
- And the ability to have full control of your player when defending. For example Im strafing and I see the opponent about to go left and I move my analog to go left right away but because I’m too close to the opponent or if the opponent does a skill move it makes my guy go right.
- Right analog switching needs to improve
- AI R1 defending. If I’m holding R1 and my AI is right next to the guy with the ball while I’m guarding the threat my AI should be able to poke the ball.
On console you cant react too fast with your players because it bugs out and is not responsive.
Console needs 120hz its 2025
Dude it's all about EA being in control. Fact is they and only they can adjust things like defensive width, how many players attack/defend corners. I noticed they got in game tactics but you can only pick them when they make them available for suggestions? Really that's how much control and interference they want they are only enabling you to choose your in game tactics when they want you to and then they will pick the ones you can have. It's symbolic of what they are all about
So the issue is that EA have said Dynamic sliders/Script/DDA doesnt exist but PC hackers and hacks now show that they do so if EA admit that hackers can on real time adjust their sliders throughtout the game that script also exists.
Ive seen examples where PC hacker was live on Tiktok, All sliders set to 100, By half time his sliders were at 90 meaning the game had adjusted his sliders down by 10 to allow the losing player to score a halftime goal.
If all slidwrs were on 50 then yours would be on 40 and the opponant scores......But EA have gone to court saying that it doesnt happen so going after hackers would hurt them aswell

You’re absolutely right nick. It’s all about the gameplay and the responsiveness. It’s fun to play if it’s responsive. but sadly 99% of the time it’s not. Their no. 1 priority should be to get rid of the delay. The success of this game stands and falls with it.
I just want to play a game online and feel like I'm playing against a human opponent. Online at the moment feels like I'm playing squad battles on ultimate difficulty. I want human error to be what decides my wins and losses that's fun and a learning curve.

From someone who used to go 40-0, 30-0, 20-0. To now going 13-2 on average. I didn’t even care about not going 15-0 because the game at the start was so fun. I didn’t care about defending, it felt like a video game (which it is). I don’t care about realism to an extent. Minute they buffed defending and made it challenging to score I stopped playing completely. I spent $100 on a game to play for a week && I’ll probably never play it again. It is what it is, I think the game will never be the same

@Amzyyyes when they fixed the CPU for "carreer mode" that affected Squad Battles too, in that patch the AI got boosted for sure! At the start when u won the ball, u didnt lose it immediately by an interception of the AI or by immediate press from AI. Now it is pingpong again if u just win the ball.
Also the passing is less accurate after all these patches.
Only thing they needed to fix at the start where:
-kickoffs; like how they are now is good
-corners
-rainbow flick volleys
-buff the manual defending a bit like they did for jockeying
-let the defends be a bit more compact

In my opinion the thing that killed this game first and foremost is the change they made to the chemistry system and the position system. The gameplay has always had issues with delay and unresponsiveness, that hasn't changed, the promos have always been meh with only a couple bangers a year, that hasn't changed either, but the thing that was the most fun for me always was building new teams, getting creative with the links to get full chem, even something as dumb as having the satisfaction of symmetric links in my team, putting strikers at cdm so they get a link to the cbs so I get my chemistry and then changing the formation in game and just trying out new teams and new players constantly, that's what was fun about this game and that's what caused the game to lose it's spark imo
I don’t know man I feel alone in disagreeing a lot. I have been playing the game for a very very long time. I have never been as good as AA9 or Nick, but it is not true that just the Fortnite and COD dudes are around for a month, complaining and that they aren’t the real fanbase. People in Div 1 or doing 15-0 or close to that aren’t the majority.
If I want to win a game with a clean sheet that should happen with a little bit more ease instead you get 5-4 games which is a joke.
Getting closer to real life would be cool without going too overboard with it. I agree it is a videogame but I do want some more realism. I also think they should put great objectives for the women’s cards and keep the genders separate.
Being able to play with an icon and a current player is cool because you could try to imsgine what it could be like if they play together.

Changing the game through patches so we can keep playing and figure out what works is actually not a horrible idea, but this would only work if gameplay/servers were responsive for everyone or the majority of players.
I think the "patches" happen to cover up the fact they are taking off servers to boost another game. Ones that are more likely to succeed than fc. So we just think it's bad patches but it's actually them taking servers away thus slower menu at reset n sluggish gameplay
Yes!! They’re re-allocating servers for games like battlefield. I waited until the tenth when it came out and I noticed it that day!

🎯🎯the servers are rentals. So when the hype is over servers are shutting down. Toty servers up again for two weeks, just like Tots. It's just a scam company. Selling packa when your infrastructure isn't good is criminal.
Early days of FUT were simple BUT gameplay was fun to play and use the players you pack ! As of right now, i played the game a few weeks and was bored of it. Dont say im getting old cause im addcited to football ! I just want a game like FIFA 17 that was SOO fun to play ! My boys all played it ! NOW....none of us are playing FC 26...sad times 😢
Fix hackers, fix menus, fix delay/servers, stop the Dda script where if another player has a worst team they get all the luck, turn down the ai defending. Doing these 5 things would literally make the game good again

Gameplay wise he makes good points, though the two odd things were him talking so much about shareplay and the KSI/sidemen/coin situation. I feel like his claim about shareplay ruining everything because we are exposed to people packing great cards is a moot point because we would have just seen that due to youtube or people posting pictures on social media? I didn't really get that. For the second part, I almost felt like a therapist listening to him talking so much about the coin situation/how he had a falling off with that group of OG fifa players. Like, I feel really bad, and it's been like, a decade? It kind of pained me in a way to listen to it and I just feel like maybe he regretted that decision and is still trying to live with it, though I hope I'm wrong. I did not like expect that out of a video focused on how EA has screwed up their game once again for like the 8th year in a row.
I have literally just left my last game and deleted the game, I lasted longer playing last year I think. This game has been destroyed by a company that shows time and time again that they simply can not get anything right, playing on console is impossible the delay is simply too much to handle.

Is it just me or did so much change after the most recent patch? (Stuff that they didn’t say they’d change - ie live tuning). The game is literally unplayable right now, passing is so bad, so many weird emphasis touches constantly, defenders are rapid now and it’s so easy for people to just run up to your player from behind and just do some dumb tackle or smash into your player and get the ball… I don’t see many people talking about this, but the changes when I jumped on after the last patch were ridiculous and incredibly noticeable

You wasted your money anyways by buying the game in the first place. It was very predictable that this would be the same every year. People shouldn’t really care about the fancy stuff EA always say. They never fix and innovate anything…
@Kev2000I’ve put 160 hours in, I’ve more than got my moneys worth out of this game at this point, EA did follow through with promises and now completely reversed them because they are incompetent
Ever since that new patch came out, Manager mode has been awful for me. When my team scores, the instant replay only shows the middle of the pitch no players nothing just a blank mid pitch. I go to highlighters to try to see a replay. Let’s say my player is Asian or Caucasian the icon on the left where is shows who scored is a whole different player like they show an African American player who’s never on the team. The amount of bugs is crazy. They don’t even say my team’s name on the screen nothing they just shows “custom with codes” on it.
Don’t get me started with the script. They purposely make my players miss goals on tactical view just so the other team win and it’s some bs always It’s really bad. Career mode? don’t even get me started. Like they tried so hard to make it realistic, but they failed miserably. Ea is like call of duty. Just make pay to win stuff like UT cards. It’s crazy.
When a relegation team beats a league dominating team in real life. The relegation team deserved it because they are actually professionals at football. In FIFA/FC a beginner can be really bad at the game and constantly beat opponents better than them just because of the AI defending for them so they don't actually earn the win. It's basically given to them through false prentenses.
If someone beats you it’s because they are better than you. Just live with it.

This is just the trend with all the sell out terrible game companies. My favourite 3 games of all time: R6, Fifa/FC and Rocket League. Ubisoft, Epic and EA have completely and utterly swept the core playerbase under the bus to cater to fair weather kids. I have about 2-3 hours i can dedicate to gaming these days and I'm so sad that i barely can play my three favourite games. They're still big, no queues or nothing but they're just so much worse than they were acouple years ago.

Squard battles was the last thing worth grinding, now a 70 silver squard with 10 chemistry is like playing division 3 rivals 😢 😭
16:21 nicks right on this point, variety of game modes is the only fun aspect to FC. Everything else has been a failure
I played the trial and only fun I had was occasionally playing rush, assuming my teammates aren’t braindead or AFK
@runeops1193yeah I avoid rush at all costs, good concept but the team mates make the experience awful. EA get a lot of flack but the community is just as braindead
@Gwalsh94-mz2ljif you can get some good chemistry going and people don’t hog the ball trying to dribble past everyone it’s genuinely a very fun experience, but those experiences are rare.

PC players will have programs to input enough movement to not get kicked (for example, spamming fake shots) just to get evolutions or objectives done. You can encounter 3 of them in one game for example. And for the normal players, they may play in groups of 3 or 4, limiting your chance of matching with them
Maybe turning off crossplay works. I’m not sure. But unlike squad battles where you have to win, they only have to stay in the game to get the rewards

I think for me the issue with the original game was that cbs needed anticipate base in order to tackle as it was so open. All they had to do to fix that was release promo cards with it and evos to give it to players

Back then it felt like you could break down even the most park the bus players. Now it feels like the attacking team gets punished for attacking, the meta low block park the bus tactics in the most recent fc games is terrible that’s why even as someone who likes realistic football games was enjoying the fast paced football at the beginning of this game.
