- My main man, my main target at the convention: George Murray.
A quiet and refined man, very slim and tall. Before the interview, he first applied cream to his face. ‘With or without a hat?’, “With please, George”. Although I was looking forward to meeting him, he meant the most to me, I wasn't nervous about him. When I asked him about Adrian Belew towards the end, he lost his cool - I looked at that part endlessly, it could have been a bit worn.
Mein wichtigster Mann, mein wichtigstes Ziel auf der Convention: George Murray.
Ein leiser und feiner Mann, sehr schlank und groß. Vor dem Interview hat er sich zunächst das Gesicht eingecremt. "Mit Hut oder ohne?", "Bitte mit, George". Obwohl ich mich auf ihn am meisten gefreut hatte, er mir am meisten bedeutete, hatte ich bei ihm keine Nervosität. Als ich ihn gegen Ende auf Adrian Belew anspreche verliert er seine Ruhe - ich habe mir diese Stelle endlos angeschaut, sie könnte schon ein wenig abgewetzt sein.
This is the first interview that I've seen with George Murray. The only problem is that it's too short! He is both well and soft spoken in a way that is really engaging. The two people whose views on the time period of '75-'80, Dennis Davis and George Murray, were the only two musicians whose thoughts, memories, and views of the period in question that I'd never heard before, until now.

George has always had a thing for hats. He comments with wisdom and grace, and appears as if he has gratitude for the opportunities afforded him. A good person. On stage, sight and sound, he was very funky. Him and Dennis.
