Yes, the cry of "They tried to kill him" has been said many times from people at the RNC. As soon as they say "they" or "them" when all indications are that it was a lone wolf incident, is divisive as hell.

Now I believe we had a 20 year old lost in political rhetoric much like we have seen in these comment sections on both sides. He’s registered as a republican but has donated to democrats, he has very little social media post but the ones I have seen were anti Trump and appeared to show signs of someone with mental issues. There’s 3 other possible explanations: a family member of the same name made the donation (middle initial not included in the public record), Thomas Crooks lost a bet and donated the day Biden got office out of punishment, or that Thomas got scammed/tricked by the PAC to donate as if they are owed money.
FEC filings of that donation do match the address of the home that was raided. But I do feel that the fact that it was made on Joe Biden's Inauguration day is a more important factor. This makes it seem like that was due to a lost bet.

I saw an interview with an actual neighbor, she said no signs were in the yard.
He lived a very sheltered life, a loner, etc. He had limited interaction with others so it would be difficult to really pick up on some cues, and being so young perhaps some things he said/did were just written off as immaturity. And parents ultimately are biased and would rationalize things even if they were licensed counselors. He did this on some really crazy impulse, with no real rhyme or reason. Who knows what his mental state was because he seemed so sequestered that signs may have been missed. Society wasn't very nice to him (he was easily bullied) and he was very immature (as some videos of him are indicating) and impulsive. This is why we see these things with young males more often.
