Saw this show! At another level. Big time props for Vai. Have seen KC and TOOL many times. Awesome to see Carey work up closer than at TOOL arena shows. Belew and Tony spot on. Going back for more at same venue on November 10! How many bands have 3 ex Zappa guys? Wow!
So do I, but give it time. Unpopular opinion time: I never really liked Steve Vai’s playing at all…but he’s working really hard and doing his best, and I’m definitely hearing improvement in his playing over the three shows that have been done so far. He and Danny were pretty nervous, but they’re top notch. They’ll all lock in soon. Hearing them talk about the music and the original band proves that they understand the size of the shoes they’ve stepped into.
Wow, shame on you for deleting the discussion about Danny Carey not being close enough to Bill Bruford's standard. You silenced the opinions of 3 king crimson fans who may not gush over Toolband like you do.
I think they'd be better off starting their own thing together. Come up with original material. You can't help but think the original lineup was so original. This is like a cover band without Fripp and Bruford.
I guess with 2 important original members it's somewhere in-between. I think the ratio is fine that way. You kinda have to expect age to be a factor as well but they are pulling this off remarkably well here. I wouldn't be against them continuing with creating original material either!

I truly hope this comes to Australia
Yep!
I think I miss the mathematical precision that the Fripp Bruford influence seemed to inject.
I miss Bud Spencer and Terence Hill as well.
In the 70s and 80s in the movie theaters in Germany a lot

AWESOME ! Thank you : )
Nothin is better than this. Nothing I say!
Frank Zappa gave half of this band their big break. Weird.
I wish that there would’ve been another choice of words, other than “weird”
Both Robert Fripp and Frank Zappa work outside of the standard music industry. “Autark”
@@rickschmiderer1380 "Remarkable"?
@@rickschmiderer1380 Autarch also.

I did not delete anything
