Ad Reinhardt, a retrospective

"Ad Reinhart was unique in his ability to do so much with so little," says Lynn Zelevansky, guest curator of the exhibition "Ad Reinhardt: 'Art is Art and Everything Else is Everything Else,'" dedicated to this American artist of the New York School who was a precursor of Minimalism on his way to radical abstraction. This video explains Ad Reinhardt through testimonies of his students, artists who were influenced by his work and the curatorial team of the exhibition that takes place at the Fundación Juan March until January 16, 2021.

Esa famosa caricatura del hombre riéndose ante un cuadro abstracto diciendo : "Y esto....¿qué representa?", y el cuadro, enojado le responde: "Y TÚ...¿QUE REPRESENTAS?", se lo inspiró un párrafo de un texto genial del gran Wolfgang Paalen, que sin duda leyó en la revista "DYN", la mejor revista de arte en inglés en los años 40´s.
