@@catsmother4556 definitely worth doing in my opinion, I was going to chuck them but couldn't bring myself to do it and had compost and containers. 👍👌😁
Great video bro! I loved this! Really nice results too! Great yields and it just shows you that even the small ones are perfect for seed.. Thanks for the shoutout too bro you are so good to me.. 💚
I loved hearing your genuine delight and surprise at the number of potatoes. Great summary of what you did and why you got these results, Nick. ~ Sandra
Lovely to see Nick, glad to see the small ones were worth planting. I certainly hope so as my Blue Danube were all the small sized Potatoes and are still growing and will be interesting to see the harvest.
Well if they grow as volunteers from any tiny bit then I’d say always give it a try 👍👍. And as we know any fresh harvest is a successful harvest. They may surprise us all. Happy growing cous , Ali 🌤️🇨🇦
Good little experiment Nick, just one question, what does the sulphur do? and should I be adding it to my next lot of potatoes? (Got some to sow in a while for Christmas) Thanks Pete.
@@Petetrenouth hi Pete it helps lower the pH and it's the next nutrient after npk that plants need. It should be added to the compost or soil as early as possible so the soil life can eat it and convert it to available nutrients and convert to sulphuric acid to lower pH. I've never included it before with my potatoes before but want to maximise my Sspc yield.👌🥔😁👌👍
Great video: I suggest it is possible the yield difference may have been more to do with variety than original seed potato size. Like you I keep the compost working but on a crop rotation over several years organically fertilising as needed. I always plant leeks, onions, shallots and garlic in the potato compost the same autumn. Today when recycling some shallot compost to use for cabbage plants I discovered a free potato. I had had one of those very tiny potatoes that got missed during harvest produce a spud at least ten times its size. I remember pulling the top out as a weed so the yield may well have been greater if left alone. The point being it was free and even the tiny ones can produce some sort of crop. I usually just add the little fellows to a stew but think I'll experiment with a few in small pots next year just to see.
@@billvalsallotments5915 thanks guys I'd used lots in soups but had loads left over, loads of compost and some big containers 😄. Very happy with the results.😄💪👍👌🥔❤️

Great harvest, Nick. ❤I love watching completely 🥔🧡🥔
10-11 pounds of potatoes for the costs of $3 of fertilizer 👍
