My kids only go around certain people. I wasn’t even able to speak my truth to my parents my until I was 25. It was so painful to speak it. But it’s like if I sit down and tell the male what happened I would be judged and it would come up later during a disagreement. Hopefully the right one will cross my path. Thank you so much for explaining everything I've been going through since I was touched when I was 9 years old (I'm 59 now). I've never had a healthy relationship because of what happened to me. I made the mistake of telling my friends in high school....and they treated me like the plague. To make things worse, my dad told my mom that I probably provoked it, and deserved it. He used to tell me I was a loser, and only good for sex. I started to believe him.....and started drinking and being promiscuous. The person that did this to me actually made it like I was his girlfriend. To this day, a man treating me in a romantic way makes me sick to my stomach. I've been to counseling and seen therapists.....but you are the first person to make me feel heard.

It hurts my feelings when folks aren’t able to make their own decisions when it comes to their lifestyle. We all have a story and some of it wasn’t by choice but by force. It took for my little brother to say something to my momma about what I was experiencing. The babysitters grandsons while she watched her daily sitcoms. She wasn’t watching us.
I was so grateful that it stopped. I’m so petrified to bring anyone around my kids. My kids only go around certain people. I wasn’t even able to speak my truth to my parents my until I was 25. It was so painful to speak it. I think that’s why I kinda turned that part of my life/feelings off when it comes to dating or allowing someone to love me. I was told that I’m not affectionate enough. But it’s like if I sit down and tell the male what happened I would be judged and it would come up later during a disagreement.

Thank you so much for explaining everything I've been going through since I was touched when I was 9 years old (I'm 59 now). I've never had a healthy relationship because of what happened to me. I made the mistake of telling my friends in high school....and they treated me like the plague. To make things worse, my dad told my mom that I probably provoked it, and deserved it. He used to tell me I was a loser, and only good for sex. I started to believe him.....and started drinking and being promiscuous. The person that did this to me actually made it like I was his girlfriend. To this day, a man treating me in a romantic way makes me sick to my stomach. I've been to counseling and seen therapists.....but you are the first person to make me feel heard.
