John Waite 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹Ohh What a beutiful voice. He is 💯 times better looking in person than the video I love him❤️ and his romantic songs all are AWESOME .❤️
Saw these guys front 38 Special back in 83. Waite got all pissed off because nobody paid any attention to him. 38 came out and tore the place up. They opened up with "Back on the Track." Put that on with the volume maxed and imagine a crowd as loud as it gets. It kicked serious ass!
I have Four of The Babys lps and one of Johns solo albums! Fell in Love with my first love, listening to Evertime I Think of You! 1977! Unfortunately didn't work out, his fault, he later admitted he should of married me! Running scared and being a fool,he did that alright! Good title for a song, I wrote so much poetry! Its okay, no recrets, still love John Waite and The Babys! Going to check out his documentary on prime time! Thanks for the memories! Peace ✌😊❤🎶
This appears to be the tour to support the album, "No Brakes" -Notice he has the amazing Earl Slick on guitar, rather than Gary Myrick, the guitarist for that album -Saw this line-up on the Berkeley Community Theatre leg of this tour -Fantastic and, what a pleasant surprise to see Earl Slick...
can anyone find a video with the whole of this concert in it? seen a few john waite vids form this concert, loving em, i'd really enjoy the whole gig if anyone can find it pls

What happened to "Head First?" We need it back! Now! (Okay. Now... This =is= the Cleveland Agora... and the mix here has the kick drum and tinkling piano way up front. Was Doug Hall -- later and for decades with Iron maiden -- on the board that night? Sure sounds like it.) (That guy could make Tony Bennett sound "punchy.")
Johnny has a bad habit of butchering his own songs. It doesn't sing them anything like the hit record we heard on the radio. So many singers butcher their own songs that I quit going to concerts.
Never saw Jonathan sing with the Babies saw him with Bad English backing up WhiteSnake when they had Sarzo no Bass Stevi Vi playing lead Coverdale has always had great musicians around him one the great voices of Rock nRoll always compared to Robert Plant seen them too they don't sound anything alike to me
i saw that tour, bad english was probably better than whitesnake. they played headfirst at the end i was probably the only old fogey in the arena who knew that song.
I was really digging it, until they stopped in the middle of the song to go, "Alright, now just the men!" & "... just the women!" To new artists just coming up, getting started in music... Don't do this. It was marginally cool in 1979, but it's so lame now, and has been done to death. Please. Don't.
Definitely check these out!!

Omg I miss the 80’s and a certain boy with an old baby blue souped up 75 Duster...I can still hear that car.....carefree times and great memories!! ♥️
What a great performance! John Waite should have been a monster star.
Weird that he wasn't. Has the presence and pipes to match Coverdale, Stewart and Hagar.
A catalog of solid hits from the 1970's and 80s, that he can still BANK on--- 40 yrs later.
Has a luxury condo in CA
Is that right?
Saw the Baby's in the late 70s..Great show
Going to see him tonight Montclair California ✌️🎶🎶✌️
One of the best out there .. (Still) ❤️
Ohhhh the memories I have with this song....
I love his voice.
One of the best opening riffs. Right up there with i can't get no satisfaction by the stones and sweet child o mine by g 'n' r.
John Waite 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹Ohh What a beutiful voice. He is 💯 times better looking in person than the video I love him❤️ and his romantic songs all are AWESOME .❤️

Absolutely very sexy and handsome

Burn ❤️🔥👠💋 the dance floor in the 80s
Yup!
Love this song
Best of our times

He's So Serious. Love it when the big moment for the audience to sing along comes.... and NOBODY DOES!
the drugs must have been potent that day.

Way too fast! Got someplace to be?? We pay for those after parties!

that red headed guy playing the opening riff isnt gary myrick
Sneaking into the bar to watch covers of the babys. Fake ID, drinking, dancing with the girls and sadly, never getting laid. Those were the days!
Playin faster than I want ya too........
Lol!..... that is hilarious! ...and ...exactly... it's rushing 'Bad.....
I totally agree!
LMAO....but too true. Drummer did too much coke I think.
Hell that's what I thought !!
What speed do we play this at? Warp? No, we’re going to plaid.
These guys could rock it. At least on this song.
Johnny Yum Check the whole live. They rocked it throughout.
+TeoKeh THANKS..WILL DEF CHECK IT OUT..STILL LOVE THE BABYS.
NicBunnymen Cheers mate.
Earl Slick!
Really liked Wally Stocker in The Babys though.
Of course, the band isn't The Babys in this live clip from John Waite's solo No Brakes concerts.
All right
J ai reçu une cassettes de ce groupe allemand qu ant j'étais jeune.
Good Lord Carmine, did you guys need another line? Now that's fast & live! Ha.......

This bloke went through so many guises over the years, all of them trying to look like the more popular bands of the time.
johnbrown 60 moron
johnbrown 60. Hahaha..this bloke...hahaha..
No comprende
how about a midnight rendezvous.

Xmas 20/20 out West!
6 Days you bitch!
So they decide to speed up the tempo of the song to the point where John Wait starts sing talking.
Earl Slick on lead guitar
The harmony vocals are off at the end part and John misses parts of the melody with his lead vocal. But I love the song.
Where was the timing on this one!!
thats2odd No Brakes Live tour of 1985, I have it on the info as well.
+TeoKeh I was talking about the band.. This is terrible! Their timing is way off its like on 45 speed on a 33 record!! Awful performance
Everybody was on coke in 1985
Terrible!
Fools
Lol. Memories! 😂
Eastern..."we need to see some dreams come true..."

They must be on cocaine they're playing it so fast John can't even get his words in(lol)
Who was the guitar player?
+Jason Taggart Earl Slick. There is a link on the video to watch the whole show.
Earl Slick who now makes an affordable line of guitars that rock. Guitarfetish.com
Way to fast Poison....
Way too fast.
Song written for another band
Good song when preformed correctly and in sync with the studio version...
This version is all over the place and preformed sloppy in my opinion
I was really digging it, until they stopped in the middle of the song to go, "Alright, now just the men!" & "... just the women!"
To new artists just coming up, getting started in music... Don't do this. It was marginally cool in 1979, but it's so lame now, and has been done to death. Please. Don't.
Wow, coked out much drummer boy???
Yikes. Rushing it much?? I prefer the recorded version. This song sucks live.
Played waaaay toooo fast!
