When your parents care to not tell the truth about their son then any church they belong to needs to be investigated! What else are they doing to their innocent children? Money is their problem! They sold their children for money! Totally immoral! Why is God not stopping these nasty people?

Their father knew the odds were slim of them continuing in the same religion. He introduced those girls to their husband's. Jessa met Ben without her father and so did Joy and their husband's were already in it and now they still are.
I even questioned my own beliefs. Growing up in the Roman Catholic faith I even questioned a lot of what was told and taught more because it wasn’t taught at home. Saw the Ignorance within the Church or the archdiocese. How they even go against what they say and do. I may not be religious now but still believe in the core principles
I was raised in a cult. The brainwashing & mind control is something outsiders can’t understand. The indoctrination runs deep, to your core. I left the cult at age 40 but it took at least 15 years to deprogram. It’s difficult to learn about a world you knew very little about & on top of that, been taught Satan has a grip on you. The fear can be overwhelming! I have been shunned for 26 years.. not one word from family or friends, so no support system. I was one of the lucky ones & made it out. I made a great life & enjoy my freedom, but it was a high price to pay.. something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. It sounds like some of the Duggers are waking up, but it’s a very long hard journey that turns your world upside down. Hopefully they make it to the other side 🙏🏼💕

I grew up in a very conservative church, which held some of the teachings of Gothard but didn't really promote IBLP. One thing I learned as an adult is that God doesn't have grandchildren. We all have to study the Bible and understand what God says in His word and believe it for ourselves. To stand before God one day, I cannot say, "Well, I was raised in a Christian home." God is going to ask me if I believed and followed His Son. The Duggar children are all going to have to come to their own understanding outside of the toxic environment they grew up in by their parents.
I feel like Christianity is such a vague not well defined thing and the Duggar parents were sincere and trying to do their best to live it out in the way that they understood it. For example, having chaperones helps prevent premarital sex, which is certainly a biblical thing. The root problem is this ancient book when you get down to it. Christianity is rotten from the foundation, that's why it keeps creating rotten things. Sometimes you should throw out the baby with the bathwater.

So befofore you begin to berate "GOD" Your very Creator.... you better think twice. Because no man knows the day or hour when its their last breath.
Stop trying to make a born again believer in Christ is something that is sick or wrong because it’s not!!!! Someone that is truly following Christ their world will seem strange because this world is not a believers world.
I think it’s a good thing Joyanna is searching the scriptures for herself. Being a born again Christian is about a personal relationship with the Lord. When she sees God face to face someday she will have to take a personal account of what she believed and how she walked out her faith in day to day life.
I think joy just hasn’t gone trough the entire unraveling yet. She had put it on the back burner so to speak and ignored it. I don’t think it’s too late at all to unravel it. Good for her I hope she unravels more and gets better in her health. 🙏🏻🫶🏼🙏🏻🫶🏼
