- In this week's Friday episode, Patrick and Stuart take on multiple roles in helping with a recent wedding celebration. Friends Tony and Jane @notquiteachateaudiy host a wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast (reception) at their home in France for their daughter Sherri and her bridegroom Paul. Patrick and Stuart also show a trip to a recent brocante where they found an item they had been missing for their front courtyard.
Join Patrick and Stuart on their journey to find a neglected, forgotten, or crumbling château or castle in France, and then continue to follow them as they work on its restoration, rénovation, decoration, and furnishing. Along the way, they will also create and share videos on their preparation for having gîtes for guests, and an event venue in their chateau (wedding, birthday, anniversary, organization or club meetings, retreats, etc.).

Sherri’s and Paul’s happiness was so evident as Patrick proclaimed them husband and wife moved me to tears. Patrick and Stewart, you are such good friends pulling out the stops for this wedding. Well after seeing Jane's and Tony's video of the wedding rehearsal that was fun and very jovial, I did not expect to get so teary when Tony was walking Sherri down the aisle. The bowls shown in beginning were very pretty. The wedding looked beautiful. When Bride and Groom sat down all I saw was that beautiful blue cake. It is of course too late to add my best wishes to this couple, but I appreciated this beautiful moment that you organized so well and permanently engraved. For this magnificent celebration, some honored the ceremony and the bride and groom by being of rare elegance. Something that is very much lost in our time and that we can only regret.
What wonderful good news to give swallows the opportunity to come and nest under the beams of your outbuildings. This is a blessing for the swallows and for your enjoyment. I am in the countryside and unfortunately our modern houses are no longer welcoming for these poor birds. Also, I am so sad not to be able to have them nest in my home while their number is decreasing from year to year in my village.

Swallows are supposed to return to Capistrano on March 19th, St Joseph's day. It was always fun to go down to the mission to see if they were really there. Is there a special day of return in France? What a wedding, everyone looked so happy, and Patrick you looked particularly dapper. What an extra special day for Tony and Jane too. When it was my silver, 25 year wedding anniversary, someone asked my husband if we were going to renew our vows. He replied, why, have they run out? I didn’t know they had a time limit. Anyway, I made them once and I have definitely not changed my mind, so no, I don’t think so. I’ve never been able to make up my mind if he was being very romantic or had his tongue in his cheek! What a great day! The whole wedding was so beautifully planned and executed. Everybody looked so happy and the love in the air was evident! Not to mention Sherri and her bridesmaids' beautiful gowns, they all looked so pretty, as did Jane, stunning mother of the bride! Patrick, it's so special to officiate at a friend's wedding, isn't it? I officiated at my dear friends' wedding a few months ago, and it was very emotional! It felt like the best privilege to be able to share something so special. Stuart, the cake looked just amazing, and I'll bet it tasted just as good!
