The Reason The Dolphins NEED A Location In The NRL! - Спорт
The Bulldogs are Canterbury-Bankstown, two suburbs that are reasonably far apart it is a LGA of Sydney so it encompasses a big region of about 500k. Penrith and Parramatta are the only teams that encompass a single suburb but they really represent the surrounding region as well.
When they won the bid, the talk around the Sunshine Coast is that the team would be called “Moreton Bay Dolphins”
Think Moreton bay dolphins would be a good name
Great video
I actually like the name sun shine coast dolphins. Great video
I wouldn't mind North Brisbane Dolphins. if they wanna keep brissie involved.
Redcliffe works as they're really not that far from Brisbane's CBD - it's no further away from the city centre than, say, Beenleigh is. Urban sprawl has really made Redcliffe up to Caboolture a part of Brisbane itself these days anyway. If not, Moreton Bay Dolphins could work since the bay itself does not just cover those northern suburbs, but also Brisbane itself, since the bay starts near Caloundra down to near Redland Bay
I would be happy with any of those options mentioned though unfortunately I think they'll continue the usa franchise structure
Yeah I don’t know a single sports team ever that doesn’t have a town. It’s fucking dumb
The only one that is similar is the Wests Tigers, as Wests doesn't necessarily show exactly where they're located, but it does derive from Western Suburbs. So at least it has some form of location
@@BKRsport yeah I guess west tigers could be from Perth if you think about it😂
Do a little video on nfl fantasy league
Either North Brisbane or Sunny Coast would be good for them. But mostly I have the same thought process about Goldy and Sunny (Sunny Coast is more prefered for me) and about the whole being Brissy Roar till I'm (or the club at this point is) dead but liking Melbourne City when CFG took over cause Man City fan but now I just want Melb City's downfall hard
I agree with them needing a name, but I recon they should be Moreton Bay. Sunshine Coast Falcons deserve to come into the NRL/NRL division 2 (in a hypothetical promotion/relegation system) one day for sure. I think they proved themselves with their support for the Storm during the pandemic
the problem seems to be that they want the team to represent moreton bay, sunshine coast and also still be a team for all of brisbane that plays in brisbane. There aren't many teams that represent multiple areas in there names but what we want idealy is a name like north Queensland, everyone understands whose a north queenslander but thats kinda tricky for this area without having too many words. Personally I think the dolphins could go with a name like Queensland coast or brisbane beaches or something else vague and just leave it at that, keeping an ocean theme in the name to link with dolphins. They'll probably just be called Moreton bay at the end of the day and everyone will forget about the naming fiasco.
Dolphins with no location seems bush league
