...exactly my thoughts! Exciting episode and inspiring and fun to watch - I am not a friend of too much music on documentations, but this one just took me along. Thanks a lot!
I have to agree. Your editing skills are Hollywood quality. However, Hollywood is certainly not deserving of your talents. The older I get the less impressed I am with Hollywood in general and their lack of morals. So I’m very glad us subscribers have you and not that growing cesspool of humanity.
My Dad dies 2 Years ago today, he was a Carpenter. Watching you work with the wood brings back much happiness. Thank you for the good thoughts. You guys are doing a great job.
Maya’s music selection is always very good. The upbeat music for Aladino’s cockpit fabrication was really terrific. Great job Maya! The interior is really coming together nicely.
Making all these custom fitted additions from a Refrigerator , sink , in fact the whole inside and outside is just amazing ... it will be a really nice sailboat ... one of a kind ...😊😊😊😊
Aladino in the 66 yrs I've worked as a Trade served Boatbuilder in both wood and Fiberglass, in NZ, you would be one of the best tradesman I've had the pleasure to watch. You do the job with joy, and do it right. Not only in workmanship but in my humble opinion construction wise. It's a great trade, keeps you fit, and mentally agile. I'm currently house building in Samoa at 83, to prove it. Bang on job you're doing, keep up the good work. You are also blessed with a lovely Wife to help you, and a very gifted one too.
Wow, these last few episodes are like watching a marathon! Aladino, I can't imagine the exhaustion you are feeling (I'm exhausted just watching) and yet you carry on with a smile and always positive energy! Maya, thank you for the fantastic editing as you capture everything so well and the music selections! Imagine, all of this will be behind you in the not to distant future!
Maya, your filming, editing, music selection and overall production quality is excellent. Keep in mind, those producing videos on RUclips are in reality competing with professional Hollywood productions we've all been raised on. To create something as well done as your last episode takes real skill and a commitment to excellence. It also clearly separates your channel from all the other sailing channels who seem to be less interested in producing quality content produced in a more professional manner.
Maya, fantastic editing combined with the perfect sound makes for viewing the Master Carpenter come alive. You both should be so proud of your accomplishment's, beautiful.
I believe you are now seeing the light at the end of that tunnel! All the hard work, the planing and even the frustrations of it all is now leaning more towards the end instead of the beginning. This has been a journey where you have allowed all of us to be a part of and I could not be happier for you both.
Dear garye4145 👍👌👏 Very well said, very well indeed. And exactly my thoughts too. A great video showing fantastic work and a lot of progress. Best regards, luck and health in particular.
As always I enjoy every episode. Don't worry about those random negative comments. The content you show demonstrates the love and craftsmanship and so many hard hours of labor and is a real representation of what it takes to have a beautiful floating home. Love every sand stroke. I am missing the Violin solos. 🎻. You two should be so very proud of your accomplishments thus far. ❤
Maya, what a spectacular video. Your editing is out of this world. So many good camera shots and time-lapse videos of Aladino's fantastic work. The music was fantastic, as well as the voice overs. Aladino is a top notch cabinet builder, and we love your channel. Keep it up!
Aladino must be starting the day with extra strong coffee. Did you see how fast he was moving this episode. JK. You take a young master craftsman and combine him with a young master storyteller and editor, you get a wonderful story people eagerly await every week. As talented as Aladino is, Maya you are the very soul of this story and dont think for 1 second we dont see your extraordinary talents as well.
Dear user-yg... 👍👌👏 Very well said, very well indeed! And exactly my thoughts too! They're a perfect match (as I already mentioned a couple of times in my comments). Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Wow, Aladino your an artist, everything is looking fantastic, and Maya even though you've had no experience with wood working/ boat building beforehand, you should feel proud of the work you've done, none of it looks easy, and you did it anyway, wonderfully I might add,🥂 well done.👏
I really appreciate the music beds of your videos! This was one of the best, full of soul, R&B and blues. I imagine you're paying for these artists and it shows in the quality. Thanks for that and I hope my meager Patreon contributions help the artist community!
Love the bespoke details! Seeing Aladino’s attention to detail, one knows that it will hold up under offshore conditions! Great progress and wonderful videography. Complimenti!
When using a pipe to wrap glass around, cut a slot in it with the table saw. Use a piece of rubber hose or rope in the slot and tap over it so the glass cant get to it. After glass lay up has cured, remove the rope and the pipe will shrink up a little ad easily release.
Love the developments, particularly the sink, especially the mattress, that's going to be a popular spot. The aft locker segregation is very wise, having segregated the various spaces the volume of each is reduced, a reduced flood risk. With a transom hung rudder, there's no rudder post, bearing, steering gear to cope with, not only a space and complexity saver but another area of risk avoided. Hope you seal up all the bulkheads. I can't imagine the plan for refitting all the services, deck fittings, wiring, pipe and cable runs, whilst keeping it all serviceable, Aladino's head is far more advanced than a spreadsheet indeed.
To remove the rainbow discoloration of the weld heat I use a mild phosphoric acid solution, its an off-the-shelf degreaser & descaler that I buy at my local metal supply outlet. Boric Acid (Pool Cleaner) or even white vinegar may work, but not as fast. Just spry on liberally and the color will dissipate. I believe Barkeepers Friend will do the trick as well, this is a common cleaner found in most grocery stores or hardware stores. Polishing alone would be excruciating time consuming, but the polishing compounds made specifically for stainless steel should have the same acids as part of the active ingredients.
Dear Maya, I will not tell you "I know how you feel", but you do need to know that your violin is greatly missed on this side, too. You are both doing stellar work and it is great to see your progress. We join you in looking forward to launch!
Maya. This episode absolutely killed it....musicaly . The work portions and Alidonos Oscar worthy performances are power for the course. Hey. I built a shellback dinghy ...30 years ago! I can relate..not. Fantastic guys.
Talent just pure talent all the way around. I watch so many genres on youtube. Boatlife being one of my favorites. Im so blessed, happy and proud to be able to witness the birth of this boat by two of the most talented people on youtube. It really is beautiful and exciting to see. I live in seattle and im anticipating this launch like you cant imagine. I cant wait !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
ALADINO YOU ARE RUINING MY LIFE.....I've been so used to cutting corners and just getting things done and overall satisfied with my work. NOW every time I have a project I compare it to Aladino's care of planing, execution and precise craftsmanship that I have to start over. His work is amazing and I don't forget who is in the background assisting,, doing some of the grunt work and lovingly pushing the project. Fridays are my favorite days, Thank you
Wow, this is an episode with so many positives. I love the shape of the workstation benchtop. It does go so well with the boat design. The cockpit is coming along well and the sink with the backsplash looks fantastic... ...and that fridge. Each week it looks better and better.
The pretty rainbow colours on the steel tell the story of how hot each spot got while it was being welded. The close it is to a deep purple, the hotter it was!
Yet again another great video of the progress of building Sailing Magic Carpet. Maya your filming is awesome, and you show on film the workmanship that goes into this project. Looking forward for next week's video. Take care you two!
Everyone is looking a little tired, but nearing the finish line.great work by both of you.Im glad to see the quality of work has not diminished as you are in the final steps
Both of you are exceptionally talented, and I am impressed with each of you on a regular basis. Aladino, your master-Craftsmanship is going to make this boat infinitely better than the original manufacturer! Kudos!
Another high quality episode from both of you, fantastic filming and boat work, married together by both if you in just a lovely manner. Your episodes are always a pleasure to watch.
Steady as she goes and MC2 is coming along beautifully Dino you know your stuff and you should be paid tons to do only this, glad to see you doing your own thing and enjoying the world while it’s still a pearl. Stay safe stay cool stay loving.
By the way, I used the same hypeflow for under my mattress in my Xterra, and I have had zero condensation and zero mold in over three years. I even had a leak from one of my water tanks that ended up under the mattress and that hyperflow allowed for it to dry out. Great stuff.
Hi Maya and Alodino, Great work as always. I am so happy to see your dreams become reality. Wishing you all the best as the vision manifests each week.
Wow, you two, this gargantuan project is really moving along at warp speed! Congratulations on the outstanding workmanship that's going into it. Very impressive.
I was really impressed with the music. It added more then you can imagine to the action and overall progress. Loving it from the Philippines. Be safe always 💞
Speechless…always such a pleasure watching you two working at your dream with such rigor and determination is so inspiring. Massive power house. Hinckley, hope your watching these magicians at work 😎 Thank you both for sharing.
Hi to you both,I would assume that you work to some drawn up plans, but Aladino seems to be a free thinker who can adapt plans as the situation arises. This is a true teamwork project with each of you supporting the other.BRILLIANT.Thank you ,cheers Roly🇬🇧.
Maya, Really enjoyed this week’s rendering, content, film speeds and especially the music and the general upbeat spirit that Aladino is famous for…. Warm Regards, John and Penny… Ontario,Canada
Wow, another wonderful episode of excellent boat work and engaging, inspiring storytelling. Maya, is this you ... the one who put together this OUTSTANDING musical soundtrack?? I **loooove** it! I can feel the yummy hum of projects and the sunshine permeating thru everything, souls too.
The trick is to use a 8' florescent light tube. Wax it up and lay on a couple layers of woven glass. When you beat on it the glass will shatter and fall out. As it turns out the ID is exactly right for a cutless bearing. You can build the outside up as much as needed to strength it and make it match which ever dripless stuffing box you are using. Every ice box (regardless of whether it contains ice or machinery) needs a pipe routed to the lowest corner to suck out the last drop of moisture. Fair Winds
Those small artistic touches will add up to a fine living space for yourselves as well a good-looking video production studio for your many fviewers and patrons.
Another great week of refit effort. I don’t think I’ve ever complemented a video on the music but I must say I enjoyed the music this week. It’s really beginning to look more like a boat than a project.
Electrician's hack: PVC pipe is often used in electrical applications as conduit. When we have to splice into an existing conduit that is already secured in place we use string - the type usually used by the masons to pull their lines. You just tuck the string behind (in this case through) the pvc you wish to cut, wrap each end of the string around a tool or even a stick to create a handle, then see-saw back and forth as you work your way around (or through) the pvc wall you are trying to cut. It is not insta-quick and requires some elbow grease, but it works. Better yet it prevents damaging the surrounding areas, tearing up paint, or even damaging any wires that might be in the conduit. I am sure you will have found a solution or reworked the piece long before you see this - and long before I am even finished watching this video (lol - I am only 1:30 seconds in). In any case. It is a good hack you can use for any number of applications.
I bought a stainless sink from IKEA that I love. About the same size, European large sink with small side sink, but it allows me to wash dishes on one side and rince on the other. About $80.00 . Sometimes it's good to leave a project semi-complete and move on; your brain will continue to develop ideas without you even thinking about the frig. Building a "Super Cape George".
I've made frp tubes using foam rubber pipe insulation either sprayed with mold release .. disolve with water as you pull out yhe foam .. pool noodles work, too.
I love the skills, the attention to detail, the determination, the foresight and the hard work that you are BOTH putting in. Absolutely amazing. BTW - the fridge started out massive, but is now much smaller inside due to all the insulation, will it still be big enough ? Great work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
thanks for Orion.. great video.. wonderful progress.. on the dirt, my first thought was, "oh no, Aladino fell" glad you are ok.. organic.. also, at 8:15, my wife was swaying to that music, thanks.. that is one beautiful sink..
Maya, this is one of your very best. The music, and combination of regular and fast forwarding tell the real story of your lives. Thank you.
Thank you so so much :)
...exactly my thoughts! Exciting episode and inspiring and fun to watch - I am not a friend of too much music on documentations, but this one just took me along. Thanks a lot!
@@SailingMagicCarpet complicated I imagine, but you should put a CD together 😊 your efforts really make this enjoyable to watch :-)

I couldn’t agree more. As an amateur songwriter and carpenter I am humbled and inspired every week by the work of the artists and M&A

Glad to see you are planning for a hatch in the cockpit deck. 50 years ago I was Aladino's size, today - forget it! Nice work guys! keep it up.

marvelous workmanship from Aladino as always and Maya fits in the quarter berth !!!!!!!!
It’s really nice to see how willing Alodino is to take expert advice. He’s a master ship builder but there are always more things to learn.

Totally agree @user-yg1uw5lo!
I will definitely need to rewatch this just to listen to the background music. It’s an excellent second choice to Maya
Love it, and loved the music on this one. Great job as always, and exciting progress!

To watch you both get so much better at your crafts is amazing. You now have a show that is directed and editing better than many show on TV.
When using a pipe to wrap glass around, cut a slot in it with the table saw. Use a piece of rubber hose or rope in the slot and tap over it so the glass cant get to it. After glass lay up has cured, remove the rope and the pipe will shrink up a little ad easily release.

Its nice when you have a place and a garage well equipped to do all of this.
When I first saw the sharp corners on the bulkhead I said no way. I was quickly put at ease as always masterfully done.
To remove the rainbow discoloration of the weld heat I use a mild phosphoric acid solution, its an off-the-shelf degreaser & descaler that I buy at my local metal supply outlet. Hear, hear!
Maya. This episode absolutely killed it....musicaly .

Consistency, adaptable compatibility = resounding foundational genius!

Wow. Just, wow. Nothing like watching a master craftsman and team execute a beautiful project. Bravo.
It's about time! I've been waiting all morning for you to post this! J/K Love the updates as usual.
Wow, this is an episode with so many positives.

The weekly stress of trying to find all the tracks is becoming a Life-sidequest.
really envious of that track saw and the bluesy/motown music is sounding great.
Yet again another great video of the progress of building Sailing Magic Carpet. Maya your filming is awesome, and you show on film the workmanship that goes into this project. Looking forward for next week's video. Take care you two!
my vote for "best music in a Boat rebuild on RUclips" category, consistently week after week.
Everyone is looking a little tired, but nearing the finish line.great work by both of you.Im glad to see the quality of work has not diminished as you are in the final steps
OMG….What an action packed episode! Lots going on and great progress.

Aladino putting on his serious face: ‘Sometimes you got to be doing things for fun’.
Just so nice ro see a craftman in action, nice work Aledino. And not to forget the video producer maya, thank you so much.
Well done! You can really see the finished product of your labors! Closer every day!
Good progress, remember to enjoy the restoration as well, it is a big part of the finished product in the end🙂
Coming together nicely. Your craftsmanship is amazing.
You two are the most beautiful souls alive...
Wow, what a lot of progress on so many fronts, clearly explained and beautifully presented.
By the way, I used the same hypeflow for under my mattress in my Xterra, and I have had zero condensation and zero mold in over three years. I even had a leak from one of my water tanks that ended up under the mattress and that hyperflow allowed for it to dry out. Great stuff.
The best music of any site I watch.
Hi Maya and Alodino, Great work as always. I am so happy to see your dreams become reality. Wishing you all the best as the vision manifests each week.
What satisfying progress! When everyday looks start changing you know you’re getting close.
Aladino you get through a lot in a week, in no time you will be sailing. I love the music in your productions too.
Speechless…always such a pleasure watching you two working at your dream with such rigor and determination is so inspiring. Massive power house. Hinckley, hope your watching these magicians at work 😎
Thank you both for sharing.
Hope you will grind the weld of the splash back but I am surprised the welder didn't do it. Your floating furniture is really taking form.

Brilliant choice of music for the timelapse's Maya

Geweldig om de voortgang te kunnen zien. Goede video's met duidelijke uitleg en heerlijke muziek. Succes!
Thank you so much!!
The best music so far. Good job I'm impressed
My hubby says to let you know the music was awesome this episode!
A bit of pickel paste from the welding supply will make the weld a better color match .. and tidy it up . Hi from the land down under
I agree that the music and production really sold the stories.
I like the Blues music you chose on this episode. Cheers
For the kitchen faucet use a potfiller, it will not steal space on the counter

Wow! Fantastic progress! And the musical soundtrack pulls the videos together really nicely!
Tremendous progress in a week!
Great video guys really all fitting together in sympathy with the boat.
Great music, you really must be thrilled with your progress, which is now tangible and you are getting there, well done!!
I've made frp tubes using foam rubber pipe insulation either sprayed with mold release .. disolve with water as you pull out yhe foam .. pool noodles work, too.
Wow a lot of content this week, thank you guys. Super background music, maybe a little violin some time ?
If a fire starts does the epoxy produce a lot of dangerous fumes? I absolutely love the craftspersonship of you guys!! Wonderful to watch.
WOW ! ! what a fantastic job guys ! there is light at the end of the tunnel :) .......hang in there Maya, the Best is yet to come.....OnWard....
Very professional and love the accompanying music so well done in every way.
Aladino, kickin' butt and taking names. Great progress! The butterfly is growing...
Great... almost there guys!
Now is when you start getting the, We are doing it !! We are really doing it feelings. And it feels very good.
Magic Carpet is really coming together and she looks so fine.
Thank you for this episode. Well chosen music! Especially with the fast forwards it is a really nice addition.
Amazing job on the fridge from concept to almost complete!
I can tell you that Charlie and Rich company's service is the best in the industry. I have dealt with them for almost 10 years...
He's been amazing to us so far as well. We're so happy about the new fridge.
