Beautiful home, thanks for sharing. We are empty nesters too and we have a large colonial two story. We thought about selling because of the stairs. All the bedrooms were upstairs. But, when our family came home, The house really worked. So we built on a master suite on the Main floor and I love it. We rarely go upstairs, now, but yet we have it when our children come home.
That’s fun! Totally our situation. If moms house was small I don’t know what we’d do. Everyone has a bed to sleep and room to make memories 💕

You guys!! This was so great!! Its amazing how your can see" just a room", or two,...and have no real " sense of the house". This was so great to see the whole house!!! It makes such a difference to get the whole feel of it! I would have liked to even have it be a "walk around" , so one really gets the full full gist of the house. loved it thou girls,...such a great house,...I love everything you've done. Your home is cosy, warm, bright and beautiful. Walking in to see the gorgeous dining room is so welcoming (my home is similar and I love that). The flow of the kitchen~living room is fabulous. Main floor bedroom a wonderful oasis, those herringbone floors devine. The porcelain pattern bathtub spectacular and leaning into what’s there like the ceiling with everything you did it’s awesome!!!
The upstairs is perfect for hosting family and friends, can’t wait to see the bunk room y’all create.

I haven’t been watching y’all very long, so I’m sure it’s been covered many times…but you didn’t mention where you found that fabulous coffee table. This house makes me miss living in Texas. We moved there when my husband was transferred to Ft Hood, and we had a house built. This was 2000, so a lot of this house reminds me of ours, though ours was single story and much smaller. Btw, husbands aren’t the only ones that want a recliner, or a ceiling fan!! 😂
We got the coffee table from a flea market about ten years ago! Pottery Barn used to carry one very similar but don’t sell it anymore. I found one from Anthropologies that looks similar - rstyle.me/+Ivbt-7ux3NaD0Tt29mxxCg Pricey but the closest I’ve seen online. Lol I will admit I enjoy my dads recliner when he’s not home 😂 but when we used to take design clients I only had husbands requests fans and recliners 🤣🤣

Mom has Taj Mahal quartzite. We love quartzite because it’s a natural stone but doesn’t stain like marble. I have quartzite in my kitchen too and love it! Thanks for watching!

I was hoping to see the stone backsplash you were discussing a ways back? What happened to the plan?
$$$$ We would still LOVE to do it but we chose to prioritize the bathroom and construction cost sky rocketed so it will probably be another year. Originally it was delayed because the stone was out of stock.
Does the house have a view? What does the landscaping look like. Also we didn't see the master closet. It's mentioned that the house is "big," but the square footage isn't cited.
The house has a lake view and is off a preserve. It’s a little over 4500 sq ft. We didn’t show the exterior in this video and the closet is really just a square box so we didn’t include it either. Maybe one day we’ll do a fun project in the closet and share.
