I visit Pune Mumbai once a week. Travelling from Mumbai to Pune has turned out to be so painful since last 1 year because of constant traffic jams in ghat section. There is no traffic police effort seen to have disciplined heavy vehicles driving. Besides that, they should open one lane from the opposite side to resolve congestion in ghat section where only LMVs will be allowed to go from this additional lane. No doubt the video is great but with this progress, this will not be ready until mid 2025 at least... They can also utilize all labor and machine to complete Mumbai to Pune part of the missing link to provide some relief for commuters... Paying 320 rupees of toll one way is worth less
Jaideep, from what I know Khopoli is almost at the sea level where as the Bhor ghat elevates the current expressway to about 620 mtrs. So if the missing link starts at Khopoli, how would the elevation be managed when it merges into the present expressway at Kusgaon? Would the tunnels be in steep upward gradient?
One engineer working on this project said on another channel it will take 2 more years to complete.

For expressway advantage, maximum speed must be increased from 80 to at least 120, and introduction of RFID toll collection system
Max speed is 100 now for cars
