You know, people are all like “Why is Waluigi the default character of this game? It makes no sense!?”. I’m here to tell you it actually does make sense, for you see: Waluigi was the main antagonist of Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix. Yes he wasn’t the final boss, but he was the one who set the plot’s game in motion. Waluigi wanted you used these music note things (sound keys I think they were called), to hypnotize the world with his dance moves. Is it silly? Absolutely. But I feel that Waluigi being the default character here is a wink and a nod to referencing DDRMM.
It makes me feel like, if Waluigi were to get his own series, he would likely have a '70s disco vibe, maybe with a Saturday Night Fever look (only with a purple suit instead of white).
It would be more interesting if all characters that were not selected could stand on the stage, and not only Waluigi, Luigi, Peach, Daisy and Rosalina, from the most likely to the least likely.
